Joshua 21
1 And the heads of the fathers of the Levites draw near to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel,

2 and they speak to them in Shiloh, in the land of Canaan, saying, “YHWH commanded by the hand of Moses to give to us cities to dwell in, and their outskirts for our livestock.”
Te vaengah Kanaan kho Shiloh ah amih te a voek uh tih, “Khosak thil ham khopuei rhoek neh ka rhamsa ham khocaak khaw kaimih taengah paek ham te BOEIPA loh Moses kut ah a uen coeng ta,” a ti uh.
3 And the sons of Israel give to the Levites, out of their inheritance, at the command of YHWH, these cities and their outskirts:
Te dongah Israel ca rhoek loh amamih kah rho khui lamkah te BOEIPA ol vanbangla khopuei neh a khocaak rhoek te Levi ham a suem pauh.
4 and the lot goes out for the families of the Kohathite, and there are for the sons of Aaron the priest (of the Levites), out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities by lot,
Kohathi kah a hui a ko ham hmulung a naan vaengah Levi khui lamkah khosoih Aaron ca rhoek ham te Judah koca khui lamkah khaw, Simeon koca khui lamkah khaw, Benjamin koca khui lamkah khaw khopuei hlai thum te hmulung neh a nan pah.
5 and for the sons of Kohath who are left, out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities by lot.
Kohath koca aka coih rhoek ham te Ephraim koca cako khui lamkah, Dan koca khui lamkah, Manasseh koca hlangvang khui lamkah kho parha te hmulung neh a naan pah.
6 And for the sons of Gershon, out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, [are] thirteen cities by lot.
Gershon ca rhoek ham khaw Issakhar koca cako khui lamkah, Asher koca khui lamkah, Naphtali koca khui lamkah, Bashan ah Manasseh koca hlangvang khui lamkah khopuei hlai thum te hmulung neh a naan pah.
7 For the sons of Merari, for their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, [are] twelve cities.
Merari ca rhoek ham khaw a hui a ko tarhing ah Reuben koca khui lamkah, Gad koca khui lamkah Zebulun koca khui lamkah khopuei hlai nit te a suem pah
8 And the sons of Israel give these cities and their outskirts to the Levites, as YHWH commanded by the hand of Moses, by lot.
Te tlam te BOEIPA loh Moses kut ah a uen vanbangla khopuei rhoek neh a khocaak rhoek he Israel ca rhoek loh Levi rhoek ham hmulung neh a suem pauh.
9 And they give out of the tribe of the sons of Judah, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, these cities which are called by name;

10 and they are for the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathite, of the sons of Levi, for the first lot has been theirs;
hmulung lamhma loh a nan coeng dongah Aaron ca rhoek ham te Kohathi huiko khui lamkah neh Levi ca rhoek khui lamkah khaw a om pah.
11 and they give to them the city of Arba father of Anak (it [is] Hebron), in the hill-country of Judah, and its outskirts around it;
Judah tlang ah Anak napa Kiriatharba kah Hebron neh a kaepvai kah a khocaak te amih ham a suem pa uh.
12 and they have given the field of the city and its villages to Caleb son of Jephunneh for his possession.
Tedae khopuei vangca kah lohma te tah Jephunneh capa Kaleb taengah a khohut la a paek uh.
13 And to the sons of Aaron the priest they have given the city of refuge [for] the manslayer, Hebron and its outskirts, and Libnah and its outskirts,
Hlang aka ngawn kah hlipyingnah khopuei la Hebron neh a khocaak, Libnah neh a khocaak,
14 and Jattir and its outskirts, and Eshtemoa and its outskirts,
Jattir neh a khocaak, Eshtmoa neh a khocaak,
15 and Holon and its outskirts, and Debir and its outskirts,
Holon neh a khocaak, Debir neh a khocaak,
16 and Ain and its outskirts, and Juttah and its outskirts, Beth-Shemesh and its outskirts; nine cities out of these two tribes.
Ayin neh a khocaak, Juttah neh a khocaak, Bethshemesh neh a khocaak, amih koca rhoi khui lamkah khopuei pako,
17 And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon and its outskirts, Geba and its outskirts,
Benjamin koca rhoek khui lamkah Gibeon neh a khocaak, Geba neh a khocaak,
18 Anathoth and its outskirts, and Almon and its outskirts—four cities;
Anathoth neh a khocaak, Almon neh a khocaak kho pali te khosoih Aaron ca rhoek taengah a paek uh.
19 all the cities of the sons of Aaron the priests, [are] thirteen cities and their outskirts.
Khosoih Aaron ca rhoek kah khopuei boeih he khopuei neh a khocaak bung hlai thum a lo pah.
20 And for the families of the sons of Kohath, the Levites, who are left of the sons of Kohath, even the cities of their lot are of the tribe of Ephraim;
Kohath ca rhoek khui lamkah aka hoei Levi Kohath ca rhoek kah a hui a ko, Ephraim koca rhoek lamkah ham khaw khopuei hmulung a om pah.
21 and they give to them the city of refuge [for] the manslayer, Shechem and its outskirts, in the hill-country of Ephraim, and Gezer and its outskirts,

22 and Kibzaim and its outskirts, and Beth-Horon and its outskirts—four cities.
Kibzaim neh a khocaak, Bethhoron neh a khocaak khopuei pali,
23 And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh and its outskirts, Gibbethon and its outskirts,
Dan koca rhoek khui lamkah Eltekeh neh a khocaak, Gibbethon neh a khocaak,
24 Aijalon and its outskirts, Gath-Rimmon and its outskirts—four cities.
Aijalon neh a khocaak, Gathrimmon neh a khocaak khopuei pali,
25 And out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach and its outskirts, and Gath-Rimmon and its outskirts—two cities;
Manasseh koca hlangvang taeng lamkah Taanak neh a khocaak, Gathrimmon a khocaak khopuei panit,
26 all the cities [are] ten and their outskirts, for the families of the sons of Kohath who are left.
Kohath ca rhoek kah a hui a ko aka coih rhoek ham a pum la khopuei neh a khocaak parha a lo pah.
27 And for the sons of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, the city of refuge [for] the manslayer, Golan in Bashan and its outskirts, and Beeshterah and its outskirts—two cities.
Levi kah a hui a ko Gershon ca rhoek ham khaw Manasseh koca hlangvang taeng lamkah hlang aka ngawn kah hlipyingnah khopuei, Bashan ah Golan neh a khocaak, Beeshtarah neh a khocaak kho panit,
28 And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon and its outskirts, Dabarath and its outskirts,
Issakhar koca rhoek taeng lamkah Kishion neh a khocaak, Daberath neh a khocaak,
29 Jarmuth and its outskirts, En-Gannim and its outskirts—four cities.
Jarmuth neh a khocaak, Engannim neh a khocaak khopuei pali,
30 And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal and its outskirts, Abdon and its outskirts,
Asher koca taeng lamkah Mishal neh a khocaak, Abdon neh a khocaak,
31 Helkath and its outskirts, and Rehob and its outskirts—four cities.
Helkath neh a khocaak, Rhob neh a khocaak khopuei pali,
32 And out of the tribe of Naphtali, the city of refuge [for] the manslayer, Kedesh in Galilee and its outskirts, and Hammoth-Dor and its outskirts, and Kartan and its outskirts—three cities;
Napthali koca rhoek taeng lamkah Galilee ah Kedesh, hlang aka ngawn rhoek kah hlipyingnah khopuei neh a khocaak, Hammothdor neh a khocaak, Kartan a khocaak khopuei pathum,
33 all the cities of the Gershonite, for their families, [are] thirteen cities and their outskirts.
A pum boeih la a hui a ko tarhing ah Gershon rhoek kah khopuei he khopuei hlai thum neh a khocaak rhoek te om.
34 And for the families of the sons of Merari, the Levites, who are left, [are, ] out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam and its outskirts, Kartah and its outskirts,
Zebulun koca lamkah Levi la aka cul Merari ca rhoek kah a hui a ko rhoek ham khaw Jokneam neh a khocaak, Kartah neh a khocaak,
35 Dimnah and its outskirts, Nahalal and its outskirts—four cities.
Dimnah neh a khocaak, Nahalal neh a khocaak kho pali,
36 And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer and its outskirts, and Jahazah and its outskirts,
Reuben koca taeng lamkah Bezer neh a khocaak, Jahaz neh a khocaak,
37 Kedemoth and its outskirts, and Mephaath and its outskirts—four cities.
Kedemoth neh a khocaak, Mephaath neh a khocaak kho pali,
38 And out of the tribe of Gad, the city of refuge [for] the manslayer, Ramoth in Gilead and its outskirts, and Mahanaim and its outskirts,
Gad koca taeng lamkah Gilead Ramoth, hlang aka ngawn kah hlipyingnah khopuei neh a khocaak, Mahanaim neh a khocaak,
39 Heshbon and its outskirts, Jazer and its outskirts—four cities [in] all.
Heshbon neh a khocaak, Jazer neh a khocaak kho pali boeih,
40 All the cities for the sons of Merari, for their families, who are left of the families of the Levites—their lot is twelve cities.
Levi huiko lamkah aka cul Merari ca rhoek kah a huiko khopuei boeih te kho hlai nit la hmulung loh a naan pah.
41 All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the sons of Israel [are] forty-eight cities, and their outskirts.
Israel ca rhoek khohut lakli ah Levi khopuei rhoek he a pum boeih la a khocaak rhoek neh kho sawmli parhet lo.
42 These cities are each city and its outskirts around it; so to all these cities.
Tekah kho rhoek te khopuei khopuei kah a kaep a vai ah kho tom boeih ham a khocaak khaw a om pa uh.
43 And YHWH gives to Israel the whole of the land which He has sworn to give to their fathers, and they possess it, and dwell in it;
A napa rhoek taengah paek ham a caeng khohmuen boeih te BOEIPA loh Israel taengah a paek tih a pang uh dongah a khuiah kho a sak uh.
44 and YHWH gives rest to them all around, according to all that which He has sworn to their fathers, and there has not stood a man in their presence of all their enemies, YHWH has given the whole of their enemies into their hand;

45 there has not fallen a thing of all the good thing which YHWH spoke to the house of Israel—the whole has come.
