< Joshua 18 >

1 And all the congregation of the sons of Israel is assembled [at] Shiloh, and they cause the Tent of Meeting to dwell there, and the land has been subdued before them.
Pea ko e kakai kotoa pē ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻIsileli naʻa nau fakakātoa ʻakinautolu ʻi Sailo, ʻonau fokotuʻu ʻi ai ʻae fale fehikitaki ʻoe kakai. Pea naʻe fakavaivai ʻae fonua ʻi honau ʻao.
2 And there are seven tribes left among the sons of Israel who have not shared their inheritance,
Pea naʻe kei toe ʻi he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli ʻae faʻahinga ʻe fitu, ʻoku teʻeki maʻu honau tofiʻa.
3 and Joshua says to the sons of Israel, “Until when are you remiss to go in to possess the land which He, YHWH, God of your fathers, has given to you?
Pea naʻe pehē ʻe Siosiua ki he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli, “ʻE tuku ʻafē hoʻomou fakatuai ʻo ʻikai ʻalu ke maʻu ʻae fonua, ʻaia kuo foaki kiate kimoutolu ʻe Sihova ko e ʻOtua ʻo hoʻomou ngaahi tamai?
4 Give three men from you for [each] tribe, and I send them, and they rise and go up and down through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance, and come to me,
Fili meiate kimoutolu ha tangata ʻe toko tolu mei he faʻahinga kotoa pē: pea te u fekauʻi ʻakinautolu, pea kenau tuʻu hake ʻo ʻalu ʻo ʻasi ʻi he fonua, ke fakahā ia ʻo fakatatau ki honau tofiʻa; pea tenau toe haʻu kiate au.
5 and they have divided it into seven portions—Judah stays by its border on the south, and the house of Joseph stays by their border on the north—
Pea kenau vahe ia ki he vāhenga ʻe fitu: ʻe nofo ʻa Siuta ʻi honau tofiʻa ʻi he potu tonga, pea ke nofomaʻu ʻae fale ʻo Siosefa ʻi honau tofiʻa ʻi he tokelau.
6 and you describe the land [in] seven portions, and have brought [it] to me here, and I have cast a lot for you here before our God YHWH;
Ko ia ke mou fakaasiasi ʻae fonua ʻo vahe fitu, pea ʻomi kiate au hono tohi ʻo fakaʻilonga ki heni, koeʻuhi ke u fai ʻae talotalo kiate kimoutolu ʻi heni ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ko homou ʻOtua.
7 for there is no portion for the Levites in your midst, for the priesthood of YHWH [is] their inheritance, and Gad, and Reuben, and half of the tribe of Manasseh received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses, servant of YHWH, gave to them.”
Ka ko e kau Livai ʻoku ʻikai hanau tofiʻa ʻiate kimoutolu; he ko e ngāue ʻae taulaʻeiki ʻo Sihova ko honau tofiʻa: pea ko Kata mo Lupeni, mo hono vaeuaʻanga ʻoe faʻahinga ʻo Manase, kuo nau maʻu honau tofiʻa ʻituʻa Sioatani ʻi he potu hahake, ʻaia naʻe foaki ʻe Mōsese ko e tamaioʻeiki ʻa Sihova kiate kinautolu.”
8 And the men rise and go; and Joshua commands those who are going to describe the land, saying, “Go, and walk up and down through the land, and describe it, and return to me, and here I cast a lot for you before YHWH in Shiloh.”
Pea naʻe tuʻu hake ʻae kau tangata, ʻo ʻalu atu; pea naʻe fekau ʻe Siosiua kiate kinautolu naʻe ʻalu ke tohitohi ʻae fonua, ʻo pehē, “ʻAlu ʻo ʻosiki ʻae fonua, pea tohi ia, pea toe haʻu kiate au, koeʻuhi ke u fai ʻae talotalo kiate kimoutolu ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova ʻi Sailo.”
9 And the men go, and pass over through the land, and describe it by cities, in seven portions, on a scroll, and they come to Joshua, to the camp [at] Shiloh.
Pea naʻe ʻalu ʻae kau tangata ʻo mole ʻo ʻasi ʻi he fonua, ʻo tohi vahevahe ia ʻi he tohi ko e vahe fitu, ʻo [nau ]toe haʻu kia Siosiua ki he fakataha ki Sailo.
