John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God;
१प्रारंभी शब्द होता, शब्द देवासह होता आणि शब्द देव होता.
2 this One was in the beginning with God;
२तोच प्रारंभी देवासह होता.
3 all things happened through Him, and without Him not even one thing happened that has happened.
३सर्वकाही त्याच्याद्वारे झाले आणि जे काही झाले ते त्याने केल्यावांचून झाले नाही.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men,
४त्याच्यामध्ये जीवन होते; आणि ते जीवन मनुष्यमात्राचा प्रकाश होते.
5 and the light shined in the darkness, and the darkness did not perceive it.
५तो प्रकाश अंधारात प्रकाशतो; तरी अंधाराने त्यास स्वीकारले नाही.
6 There came a man—having been sent from God—whose name [is] John,
६देवाकडून पाठविलेला एक मनुष्य प्रकट झाला; त्याचे नाव योहान.
7 this one came for testimony, that he might testify about the Light, that all might believe through him;
७तो साक्षीकरीता, त्या प्रकाशाविषयी साक्ष द्यावी म्हणून आला; यासाठी की सर्वांनी त्याच्याद्वारे विश्वास ठेवावा.
8 that one was not the Light, but—that he might testify about the Light.
८योहान तो प्रकाश नव्हता, पण त्या प्रकाशाविषयी साक्ष द्यावी म्हणून आला.
9 He was the true Light, which enlightens every man, coming into the world;
९जो खरा प्रकाश प्रत्येक मनुष्यास प्रकाशित करतो तो जगात येणार होता.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him:
१०तो जगात होता व जग त्याच्याद्वारे निर्माण झाले, तरी जगाने त्यास ओळखले नाही.
11 He came to [His] own, and [His] own did not receive Him;
११जे त्याचे स्वतःचे त्यांच्याकडे तो आला, तरी त्याच्या स्वकीयांनी त्याचा स्वीकार केला नाही.
12 but as many as received Him, to them He gave authority to become sons of God—to those believing in His Name,
१२पण जितक्यांनी त्याचा स्वीकार केला, म्हणजे त्याच्या नावावर विश्वास ठेवला, तितक्यांना त्याने देवाची मुले होण्याचा अधिकार दिला.
13 who were begotten, not of blood, nor of will of flesh, nor of will of man, but of God.
१३त्यांचा जन्म रक्त किंवा देहाची इच्छा किंवा मनुष्याची इच्छा यापासून झाला नाही, तर देवापासून झाला.
14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of [the] only begotten of [the] Father, full of grace and truth.
१४शब्द देह झाला व त्याने आमच्यात वस्ती केली आणि आम्ही त्याचे गौरव पाहीले, ते पित्यापासून आलेल्या एकुलत्या एकाचे गौरव असावे असे कृपेने व सत्याने परिपूर्ण होते.
15 John testifies concerning Him, and has cried, saying, “This was He of whom I said, He who is coming after me has come before me, for He was before me.”
१५योहान त्याच्याविषयी साक्ष देतो आणि मोठ्याने म्हणतो, “ज्याच्याविषयी मी सांगितले की, माझ्यामागून जो येत आहे तो माझ्यासमोर झाला आहे, कारण तो माझ्या पूर्वी होता, तो हाच आहे.”
16 And we all received out of His fullness, and grace for grace;
१६त्याच्या पूर्णतेतून आपल्या सर्वांना कृपेवर कृपा मिळाली आहे.
17 for the Law was given through Moses, the grace and the truth came through Jesus Christ.
१७कारण नियमशास्त्र मोशेच्याद्वारे देण्यात आले होते; कृपा व सत्य ही येशू ख्रिस्ताच्या द्वारे झाली.
18 No one has ever seen God; the only begotten God who is on the bosom of the Father—He has expounded [Him].
१८देवाला कोणीही कधीहि पाहिले नाही. जो देवाचा एकुलता एक पुत्र पित्याच्या उराशी असतो त्याने त्यास प्रकट केले आहे.
19 And this is the testimony of John when the Jews sent priests and Levites out of Jerusalem, that they might question him, “Who are you?”
१९आणि योहानाची साक्ष ही आहे; जेव्हा यहूदी अधिकाऱ्यांनी यरूशलेम शहराहून याजक व लेवी यांना त्यास विचारायला पाठवले की, “तू कोण आहे?”
20 And he confessed and did not deny, and confessed, “I am not the Christ.”
२०त्याने उघडपणे कबूल केले, नाकारले नाही, “मी ख्रिस्त नाही,” असे त्याने कबूल केले.
21 And they questioned him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” And he says, “I am not.” “Are you the prophet?” And he answered, “No.”
२१तेव्हा त्यांनी त्यास विचारले, “तर मग आपण कोण आहात? एलीया आहात का?” तो म्हणाला, “मी नाही.” “आपण तो संदेष्टा आहात काय?” त्याने उत्तर दिले, “मी नाही.”
22 Then they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those sending us? What do you say concerning yourself?”
२२यावरुन ते त्यास म्हणाले, “आपण कोण आहा? म्हणजे ज्यांनी आम्हास पाठवले त्यांना आम्ही उत्तर देऊ. स्वतःविषयी आपले काय म्हणणे आहे?”
23 He said, “I [am] a voice of one crying in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the LORD, as Isaiah the prophet said.”
२३तो म्हणाला, “यशया संदेष्ट्याने सांगितल्याप्रमाणे ‘परमेश्वराचा मार्ग नीट करा ज्याच्या वाट सरळ करा, असे अरण्यात ओरडणाऱ्याची वाणी’ मी आहे.”
24 And those sent were of the Pharisees,
२४आणि पाठविलेली माणसे परूश्यांपैकी होती.
25 and they questioned him and said to him, “Why, then, do you immerse, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?”
२५आणि त्यांनी त्यास प्रश्न करून म्हटले, “आपण जर ख्रिस्त नाही किंवा एलीया नाही किंवा तो संदेष्टाही नाही, तर आपण बाप्तिस्मा का करता?”
26 John answered them, saying, “I immerse in water, but in the midst of you has stood He whom you have not known, it is this One who is coming after me, who has been before me,
२६योहानाने त्यांना उत्तर दिले, “मी पाण्याने बाप्तिस्मा करतो, पण तुम्ही ज्याला ओळखित नाही असा एकजण तुम्हामध्ये उभा आहे.
27 of whom I am not worthy that I may loose the strap of His sandal.”
२७तो माझ्यामागून येणारा आहे, त्याच्या वहाणांचा बंद सोडावयास मी योग्य नाही.”
28 These things came to pass in Bethabara, beyond the Jordan, where John was immersing.
२८यार्देनेच्या पलीकडील बेथानीत योहान बाप्तिस्मा करीत होता तेथे या गोष्टी घडल्या.
29 On the next day John sees Jesus coming to him and says, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who is taking away the sin of the world;
२९दुसर्‍या दिवशी येशूला आपल्याकडे येताना पाहून योहान म्हणाला, “हा पाहा, जगाचे पाप हरण करणारा देवाचा कोकरा!
30 this is He concerning whom I said, After me comes a Man who has come before me, because He was before me:
३०ज्याच्याविषयी मी म्हणालो होतो की, ‘माझ्यामागून एकजण येत आहे तो माझ्या पुढचा झाला आहे कारण तो माझ्या पूर्वी होता,’ तो हाच आहे.
31 and I did not know Him, but that He might be revealed to Israel, because of this I came immersing in water.”
३१मी त्यास ओळखत नव्हतो; तरी त्याने इस्राएलात प्रकट व्हावे म्हणून मी पाण्याने बाप्तिस्मा करीत आलो आहे.”
32 And John testified, saying, “I have seen the Spirit coming down out of Heaven as a dove, and [that] One remained on Him;
३२योहानाने अशी साक्ष दिली की, “आत्मा कबुतरासारखा आकाशातून उतरत असतांना आणि त्याच्यावर स्थिर राहिलेला मी पाहिला.
33 and I did not know Him, but He who sent me to immerse in water, He said to me, On whomsoever you may see the Spirit coming down, and remaining on Him, this is He who is immersing in the Holy Spirit;
३३मी तर त्यास ओळखत नव्हतो, तरी मी पाण्याने बाप्तिस्मा करावा म्हणून ज्याने मला पाठवले त्याने मला सांगितले की, ‘तू ज्या कोणावर आत्मा उतरत असतांना आणि स्थिर राहिलेला पाहशील तोच पवित्र आत्म्याने बाप्तिस्मा करणारा आहे.’
34 and I have seen, and have testified, that this is the Son of God.”
३४मी स्वतः पाहिले आहे आणि साक्ष दिली आहे की, हा देवाचा पुत्र आहे.”
35 On the next day, again, John was standing, and two of his disciples,
३५त्यानंतर दुसर्‍या दिवशी योहान व त्याच्या शिष्यांतील दोघांसह उभा असता;
36 and having looked on Jesus walking, he says, “Behold, the Lamb of God”;
३६येशूला जातांना न्याहाळून पाहून म्हणाला, “हा पाहा, देवाचा कोकरा!”
37 and the two disciples heard him speaking, and they followed Jesus.
३७त्याचे हे म्हणणे त्या दोघा शिष्यांनी ऐकले आणि ते येशूच्या मागोमाग निघाले.
38 And Jesus having turned, and having beheld them following, says to them, “What do you seek?” And they said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is, being interpreted, Teacher), “where do You remain?”
३८तेव्हा येशू वळून त्यांना आपल्यामागे येताना पाहून म्हणाला, “तुम्ही काय शोधीता?” ते त्यास म्हणाले, “रब्बी, (म्हणजे गुरूजी) आपण कोठे राहता?”
39 He says to them, “Come and see”; they came and saw where He remains, and they remained with Him that day and the hour was about the tenth.
३९तो त्यांना म्हणाला, “या म्हणजे पाहाल.” मग त्यांनी जाऊन तो कोठे राहतो ते बघितले आणि ते त्यादिवशी त्याच्या येथे राहिले; तेव्हा तो सुमारे चार वाजले होते.
40 Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two who heard from John, and followed Him;
४०योहानाचे बोलणे ऐकून त्याच्यामागे जे दोघे जण गेले, त्यांच्यापैकी एक शिमोन पेत्राचा भाऊ अंद्रिया हा होता.
41 this one first finds his own brother Simon and says to him, “We have found the Messiah,” (which is, being interpreted, Anointed One),
४१त्यास त्याचा सख्खा भाऊ शिमोन पहिल्याने भेटला व त्यास म्हणाला, “आम्हास मसीहा (म्हणजे ख्रिस्त) सापडला आहे.”
42 and he brought him to Jesus: and having looked on him, Jesus says, “You are Simon, the son of Jonas, you will be called Cephas,” (which is interpreted, A rock).
४२त्याने त्यास येशूकडे आणले; येशूने त्याच्याकडे न्याहाळून पाहून म्हटले, “तू योहानाचा पुत्र शिमोन आहेस. तुला केफा (म्हणजे पेत्र किंवा खडक) म्हणतील.”
43 On the next day He willed to go forth to Galilee, and He finds Philip and says to him, “Follow Me.”
४३दुसर्‍या दिवशी त्याने गालील प्रांतात जाण्याचा बेत केला; आणि तेव्हा फिलिप्प त्यास भेटला; येशूने त्यास म्हटले, “माझ्यामागे ये.”
44 And Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter;
४४आता, फिलिप्प बेथसैदाचा, म्हणजे अंद्रिया व पेत्र यांच्या नगराचा होता.
45 Philip finds Nathanael and says to him, “Him of whom Moses wrote in the Law, and the Prophets, we have found, Jesus the Son of Joseph, who [is] from Nazareth!”
४५फिलिप्पाला नथनेल भेटल्यावर तो त्यास म्हणाला, “ज्याच्याविषयी मोशेने नियमशास्त्रात लिहिले व तसेच संदेष्ट्यांनी लिहिले, तो म्हणजे योसेफाचा पुत्र येशू नासरेथकर आम्हास सापडला आहे.”
46 And Nathanael said to him, “Is any good thing able to be out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”
४६नथनेल त्यास म्हणाला, “नासरेथमधून काहीतरी उत्तम निघू शकेल काय?” फिलीप्पाने त्यास म्हणाला, “येऊन पाहा.”
47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and He says concerning him, “Behold, truly an Israelite, in whom is no guile”;
४७नथनेल आपल्याकडे येत आहे हे येशूने बघितले व तो म्हणाला, “पाहा, हा खरा इस्राएली आहे, याच्यात कपट नाही.”
48 Nathanael says to Him, “From where do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip’s calling you, being under the fig tree, I saw you.”
४८नथनेल त्यास म्हणाला, “आपणांला माझी ओळख कोठली?” येशूने त्यास उत्तर दिले, “तुला फिल्लीपाने बोलावले त्यापुर्वी तू अंजिराच्या झाडाखाली होतास तेव्हाच मी तुला बघितले.”
49 Nathanael answered and says to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God, You are the King of Israel.”
४९नथनेलाने उत्तर दिले, “रब्बी, आपण देवाचे पुत्र आहा, आपण इस्राएलाचे राजे आहात.”
50 Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, I saw you under the fig tree, you believe; you will see greater things than these”;
५०येशूने त्यास उत्तर देऊन म्हटले, “मी तुला अंजिराच्या झाडाखाली पाहिले असे तुला सांगितले म्हणून तू विश्वास ठेवतोस काय? तू याच्यापेक्षा मोठ्या गोष्टी पाहशील.”
51 and He says to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, from now on you will see Heaven opened, and the messengers of God going up and coming down on the Son of Man.”
५१आणखी तो त्यास म्हणाला, “मी तुम्हास खरे खरे सांगतो, तुम्ही यापुढे आकाश उघडलेले आणि देवदूतांना चढताना व मनुष्याच्या पुत्रावर उतरत असताना पहाल.”
