< John 8 >

1 And at dawn He came again to the temple [courts],
Yesu kagenditi kulugongu lwa Mzeituni.
2 and all the people were coming to Him, and having sat down, He was teaching them;
Shirawu yakuwi mandawira putiputi kagenditi kayi Kunumba nkulu ya Mlungu. Wantu woseri wamgendera, nayomberi kalivaga kanja kankufunda.
3 and the scribes and the Pharisees bring to Him a woman having been taken in adultery, and having set her in the midst,
Wafunda gwa malagaliru na Mafalisayu wamjegera mdala yumu yawambatiti ugoni pakahumba. Wamgolusiya pakati pawu.
4 they say to Him, “Teacher, this woman was taken in the very crime [of] committing adultery,
Wamkosia, “mfunda! Mdala ayu yawambatiti ugoni kaweriti kankuhumba.
5 and in the Law, Moses commanded us that such be stoned; You, therefore, what do You say?”
Malagaliru ga Musa katulagalira mdala handa ayu wamgumi mabuhi. Su, gwenga gutakula hashi?”
6 And this they said, trying Him, that they might have to accuse Him. And Jesus, having stooped down, with the finger He was writing on the ground,
Watakuliti hangu kwa kumjera Yesu, wapati shanzu sha kumsitaki. Yesu kasuntama, kalemba mlitapaka kwa shyala.
7 and when they continued asking Him, having bent Himself back, He said to them, “The sinless of you—let him cast the first stone at her”;
Pawawongiriti kumkosiya, Yesu kagolokiti, kawagambira “Muntu yakeniweri na vidoda pakati penu kiwi gwa kwanja kumguma libuwi.”
8 and again having stooped down, He was writing on the ground,
Shakapanu kasuntamala kayi, kaweriti kankulemba mlitapaka.
9 and they having heard, and being convicted by the conscience, were going forth one by one, having begun from the elders—to the last; and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
Pawapikaniriti avi, wanja kuwuka yumuyumu, pawalongolera wazewi. Yesu kasigala gweka yakuwi na mdala ulii kagoloka palaa palii.
10 And Jesus having bent Himself back, and having seen no one but the woman, said to her, “Woman, where are those—your accusers? Did no one pass sentence on you?”
Yesu kaligolosiya kamkosiyiti mdala ayu, “Wakoshi wantu walii? Hashi kwahera hata yumu yakakutoziti?”
11 And she said, “No one, Lord”; and Jesus said to her, “Neither do I pass sentence on you; be going on, and sin no more.”]]
“Kwahera hata yumu!” Mtuwa, kamwankula. Yesu kamgambira, “Iherepa, wala neni nukutozi ndiri. Gugendi zyaku na kwanjira vinu hapeni gutendi vidoda kayi.”
12 Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I AM the light of the world; he who is following Me will not walk in the darkness, but he will have the light of life.”
Yesu pakayowiriti kayi na Mafalisayu, kawagambira, “Neni ndo Uweru wa pasi panu, yakanizira neni hapeni kagendigendi muntiti nakamu, su hakaweri na Uweru wa ukomu.”
13 The Pharisees, therefore, said to Him, “You testify of Yourself, Your testimony is not true”;
Su, Mafalisayu wamgambira, “Gwenga gulilanguziya gamweni, hangu upitawu waku ufaa ndiri.”
14 Jesus answered and said to them, “And if I testify of Myself—My testimony is true, because I have known from where I came, and to where I go, and you have not known from where I come, or to where I go.
Yesu kawankula, “Hangu ndiri, ata handa nulilanguziya namweni, upitawu wa neni ndo wa nakaka toziya neni nuvimana kwandawiti na kwang'enda. Kumbiti mwenga muvimana ndiri kwandawiti wala kwang'enda.
15 You judge according to the flesh; I do not judge anyone,
Mwenga muntoza kwa maholu ga wantu, kumbiti neni ntoza ndiri muntu.
16 and even if I do judge My judgment is true, because I am not alone, but I and the Father who sent Me;
Ata pantoza, kutoza kwaneni ndo kwa nakaka toziya neni nagweka yangu ndiri Tati yakantumiti neni ndo kapamuhera na neni.
17 and also in your law it has been written that the testimony of two men is true;
Ilembitwi Mumalagaliru genu kwa upitawu wa wantu wawili, shintu shoseri shatutakuliti ndo nakaka.
18 I am [One] who is testifying of Myself, and the Father who sent Me testifies of Me.”
Neni nankulilanguziya namweni na Tati yakantumiti, kankunanguziya neni viraa.”
19 They said, therefore, to Him, “Where is Your father?” Jesus answered, “You have neither known Me nor My Father: if you had known Me, you had also known My Father.”
Wamkosiya, “Tati gwaku ka koshi?” Yesu kawankula, “Mwenga mumana ndiri neni wala mummana ndiri Tati. Handa memumaniti neni, memumaniti Tati gwangu viraa.”
20 Jesus spoke these sayings in the treasury, teaching in the temple, and no one seized Him, because His hour had not yet come;
Yesu katakuliti visoweru vyoseri avi kaweriti kankufunda Mnumba nkulu ya Mlungu pakwegera na lisanduku lya luhanja palitulitwi, Kwahera muntu yakambatiti, toziya saa yakuwi iweriti hayenisoki.
21 therefore Jesus said again to them, “I go away, and you will seek Me, and you will die in your sin; to where I go away, you are not able to come.”
Yesu kawagambira kayi, “Hang'endi zyangu, mwenga hamnsakuli, kumbiti hamhowi muvidoda vyenu. Kwang'enda neni, mwenga hapeni mwezi kusoka.”
22 The Jews, therefore, said, “Will He kill Himself, because He says, To where I go away, you are not able to come?”
Su, Watuwa Washiyawudi watakula, “Hashi, ina mana hakalilagi mweni? Mbona katakula, Kwang'enda neni mwenga hapeni msoki?”
23 And He said to them, “You are from beneath, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world;
Yesu kawagambira, “Mwenga mlawa palaa pasipanu, neni ndawa kumpindi, mwenga ndo mwa wa pasipanu, neni hapeni weri gwa pasipanu.
24 I said, therefore, to you, that you will die in your sins, for if you may not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.”
Ayi ndo mana nuwagambireni hamhowi muvidoda vyenu. Na hamhowi muvidoda vyenu handa pamjimira ndiri ‘Neni ndo mweni’.”
25 They said, therefore, to Him, “You—who are You?” And Jesus said to them, “Even what I spoke of to you at the beginning;
Nawomberi wamkosiya, “Gwenga gwa gaa?” Yesu kawankula, “Neni ndo handa vilii nuwagambireni kwanjira mwanzu!
26 many things I have to speak concerning you and to judge, but He who sent Me is true, and I—what things I heard from Him—these I say to the world.”
Nana gavuwa ga kutakula kwa mwenga na vya kuwatoza. Kumbiti uliya yakantumiti ndo nakaka, naneni nuwagambira wantu wa pasipanu shitwatira shampikiniriti kulawa kwakuwi.”
27 They did not know that He spoke to them of the Father;
Wavimana ndiri handa Yesu kaweriti pakatakula nawomberi kumhusu Tati.
28 Jesus, therefore, said to them, “When you may lift up the Son of Man then you will know that I AM; and I do nothing of Myself, but according as My Father taught Me, these things I speak;
Su, Yesu kawagambira, “pammalira kala kumubikula Mwana gwa Muntu, panu ndo pamfira kumana handa ‘Neni Ndo mweni’, na handa ndenda ndiri shoseri namweni neni, ira ntakula hera galii Tati gakafunditi.
29 and He who sent Me is with Me; the Father did not leave Me alone, because I always do the things pleasing to Him.”
Yakantumiti kapamuhera naneni, yomberi kandeka ndiri gweka yangu, kwani mashaka goseri ntenditi galii yagamfiriziya.”
30 As He is speaking these things, many believed in Him;
Wantu wavuwa wampikiniriti Yesu vyakatakuliti wamjimiriti.
31 Jesus, therefore, said to the Jews who believed in Him, “If you may remain in My word, you are truly My disciples,
Yesu kawagambira Wayawudi walii yawamjimiriti, “Handa pamgajimila mafundu gangu hamuweri wafundwa wangu nakaka,
32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
hamuumani unakaka na unakaka hawuwapanani ulekeziwu.”
33 They answered Him, “We are seed of Abraham; and we have been servants to no one at any time; how do You say—You will become free?”
Nawomberi wamwankula, “Twenga ndo walelwa wa Aburahamu, na hatwenipati ng'o kuwera wamanda wa muntu yoseri. Gwana mana gaa kutakula, ‘Hamuweri walekiziwa?’”
34 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who is committing sin, is a servant of sin,
Yesu kawankula, “Nakaka nuwagambireni, kila muntu yakatenda vidoda ndo mmanda gwa vidoda.
35 and the servant does not remain in the house—throughout the age, the Son remains—throughout the age; (aiōn g165)
Mmanda hapeni kalikali ukaya kwa mtuwa gwakuwi pamashaka goseri, kumbiti mwana kalikala ukaya mashaka goseri. (aiōn g165)
36 if then the Son may make you free, in reality you will be free.
Mwana pakawapanana ulekeziwu, hamuweri walekiziwa nakaka.
37 I have known that you are seed of Abraham, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you;
Nuvimana handa mwenga ndo walelwa wa Aburahamu. Ata hangu, mfira kundaga kwa toziya hamjimili ndiri mafundu gangu.
38 I speak that which I have seen with My Father, and you, therefore, do that which you have seen with your father.”
Neni ntakula galii yakananguziyiti Tati, kumbiti mwenga mtenda galii yakawagambireni Tati gwenu.”
39 They answered and said to Him, “Our father is Abraham”; Jesus says to them, “If you were children of Abraham, the works of Abraham you were doing;
Womberi wamwankula, “Twenga ndo twawana gwa Aburahamu!” Yesu kawagambira, “Handa mwenga mwawana wa Aburahamu, memulitendi lihengu lyakatenditi Aburahamu,
40 and now, you seek to kill Me—a Man who has spoken to you the truth I heard from God; Abraham did not do this;
vyoseri avi vyantenditi nuwagambireni unakaka mpikaniriti kulawa kwa Mlungu, ata hangu, mwenga mfira kundaga. Aburahamu katenda hangu ndiri!
41 you do the works of your father.” They said, therefore, to Him, “We have not been born of whoredom; we have one Father—God”;
Mwenga mtenda shitwatira shiraa shilii shakatenditi Tati gwenu.” Womberi wamgambira, “Mlungu mweni ndo Tati gwetu, twenga twawana ndiri wa kunja.”
42 Jesus then said to them, “If God were your father, you were loving Me, for I came forth from God, and am come; for neither have I come of Myself, but He sent Me;
Yesu kawagambira, handa Mlungu kangaweriti Tati gwenu, munganfiriti neni, toziya neni ndawiti kwa Mlungu na vinu napanu. Niza ndiri kwa uwezu wangu namweni, ira yomberi kantumiti.
43 why do you not know My speech? Because you are not able to hear My word.
Hashi mwerewa ndiri gantakula aga? Ayi ndo toziya mweza ndiri kuwupikanira ujumbi waneni.
44 You are of a father—the Devil, and the desires of your father you will to do; he was a manslayer from the beginning, and he has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him; when one may speak the falsehood, he speaks of his own, because he is a liar—also his father.
Mwenga ndo mwawana wa tati gwenu, Shetani na mufira hera kutenda lumatamata lwa Tati gwenu. Yomberi kaweriti mlaga kwanjira mwanzu, kahera msimamu gwa nakaka, tembera nakaka kwahera mngati mwakuwi. Kila mpayu, zitakulwa kulawirirana na ntambu yakuwi ya munshimba, yomberi ndo mpayu na tati gwa mpayu.
45 And because I say the truth, you do not believe Me.
Kumbiti neni nukugambirani nakaka, toziya ayi hashi munjimira ndiri neni.
46 Who of you convicts Me of sin? And if I speak truth, why do you not believe Me?
Gani pakati penu yakaweza kulanguziya weri neni nana vidoda? Handa panuwagambira nakaka, kwa shishi munjimira ndiri?
47 He who is of God, he hears the sayings of God; because of this you do not hear, because you are not of God.”
Yakalawa kwa Mlungu kapikaniraga visoweru vya Mlungu. Mwenga, mlawa ndiri kwa Mlungu, na ayi ndo toziya ya mwenga kupikinira ndiri.
48 The Jews, therefore, answered and said to Him, “Do we not say well, that You are a Samaritan, and have a demon?”
Wayawudi wamkosiya Yesu, “Hashi, hapeni tutakuli nakaka handa gwenga ndo Msamariya na kayi gwana shamshera?”
49 Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me;
Yesu kankula, “Neni nahera shamshera, neni numgohilili Tati gwangu, kumbiti mwenga mgohalira ndiri.
50 and I do not seek My own glory; there is [One] who is seeking and is judging;
Neni nsakula ndiri ligoya lyangu namweni, kumbiti kwana yumu mweni kankusakula ligoya ali, nayomberi ndo mtoza.
51 truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone may keep My word, he may not see death—throughout the age.” (aiōn g165)
Nakaka nuwagambireni, yakagakola mafundu gangu hapeni kahowi mashaka goseri!” (aiōn g165)
52 The Jews, therefore, said to Him, “Now we have known that You have a demon; Abraham died, and the prophets, and You say, If anyone may keep My word, he will not taste of death—throughout the age! (aiōn g165)
Su, Wayawudi wamgambira, “Vinu tuvimana nakaka handa gwenga gwana washamshera! Aburahamu kahowiti na wambuyi wa Mlungu viraa wahowiti, nagwenga gutakula eti, ‘Yakajimira ujumbi waku hakalikali mashaka goseri!’ (aiōn g165)
53 Are You greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died; whom do You make Yourself?”
Tati gwetu Aburahamu kahowa, hashi gulitenda gwamkulu kuliku tati gwetu Aburahamu, ndo gwenga? Ata wambuyi wa Mlungu wahowiti. Hashi gwenga gulitenda gwa gaa?”
54 Jesus answered, “If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who is glorifying Me, of whom you say that He is your God;
Yesu kawankula, “Panilikwisa namweni, uweru wangu shintu ndiri. Yumu yakankwisa ndo Tati gwangu, kila muntu katakula Mlungu gwetu.
55 and you have not known Him, and I have known Him, and if I say that I have not known Him, I will be like you—speaking falsely; but I have known Him, and I keep His word;
Mwenga hapeni mpati kummana, kumbiti neni nummana. Na, pantankula nummana ndiri, hanuwi mpayu gambira mwenga. Kumbiti neni nummana na njimira shisoweru shakuwi.
56 your father Abraham was glad that he might see My day; and he saw, and rejoiced.”
Tati gwetu Aburahamu, kanemeleriti pakaliwoni lishaka lyangu na yomberi kaliwoniti, kanemelera.”
57 The Jews, therefore, said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and You have seen Abraham?”
Su, Wayawudi wamgambira, “Gwenga gwankali kusoka vinja lilongu muhanu, nagwenga gumwona Aburahamu?”
58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham’s coming—I AM”;
Yesu kawagambira, “Nakaka nuwagambirani, pamberi Aburahamu kangali kwiwuka, ndo Neni.”
59 they took up, therefore, stones that they may cast at Him, but Jesus hid Himself, and went forth out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
Panu wasola mabuwi wamgumangi yomberi, kumbiti Yesu kalififa, kalawa Mnumba nkulu ya Mlungu.
