John 8
1 And at dawn He came again to the temple [courts],
Jesus aber ging hin nach dem Ölberge.
2 and all the people were coming to Him, and having sat down, He was teaching them;
In der Frühe aber kam Er wieder herzu in das Heiligtum, und alles Volk kam zu Ihm, und Er setzte Sich nieder und lehrte sie.
3 and the scribes and the Pharisees bring to Him a woman having been taken in adultery, and having set her in the midst,
Die Schriftgelehrten aber und die Pharisäer führten ein Weib zu Ihm, das im Ehebruch festgenommen worden, und stellen sie in die Mitte,
4 they say to Him, “Teacher, this woman was taken in the very crime [of] committing adultery,
Und sprechen zu Ihm: Lehrer, dieses Weib ist auf der Tat selbst im Ehebruch festgenommen worden.
5 and in the Law, Moses commanded us that such be stoned; You, therefore, what do You say?”
Ihm Gesetz aber hat Moses uns geboten, solche zu steinigen. Was sagst Du nun?
6 And this they said, trying Him, that they might have to accuse Him. And Jesus, having stooped down, with the finger He was writing on the ground,
Das sprachen sie aber, Ihn zu versuchen, auf daß sie Ihn anklagen könnten. Jesus aber bückte Sich nieder und schrieb mit dem Finger in die Erde.
7 and when they continued asking Him, having bent Himself back, He said to them, “The sinless of you—let him cast the first stone at her”;
Als sie aber anhielten, Ihn zu fragen, richtete Er Sich auf und sprach zu ihnen: Wer von euch ohne Sünde ist, der werfe zuerst den Stein auf sie.
8 and again having stooped down, He was writing on the ground,
Und Er bückte Sich wieder nieder und schrieb in die Erde.
9 and they having heard, and being convicted by the conscience, were going forth one by one, having begun from the elders—to the last; and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
Als sie aber das hörten und von ihrem Gewissen gerügt wurden, gingen sie einer nach den anderen hinaus, anfangend am Ältesten bis auf den Letzten. Und Jesus ward allein gelassen und das Weib in der Mitte stehend.
10 And Jesus having bent Himself back, and having seen no one but the woman, said to her, “Woman, where are those—your accusers? Did no one pass sentence on you?”
Jesus aber richtete Sich auf, und da Er niemand sah außer dem Weibe, sagte Er zu ihr: Weib, wo sind sie, deine Verkläger? Hat dich niemand verdammt?
11 And she said, “No one, Lord”; and Jesus said to her, “Neither do I pass sentence on you; be going on, and sin no more.”]]
Sie aber sagte: Niemand, Herr. Jesus aber sprach zu ihr: So verdamme Ich dich auch nicht. Gehe hin und sündige nicht mehr.
12 Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I AM the light of the world; he who is following Me will not walk in the darkness, but he will have the light of life.”
Jesus redete nun abermals zu ihnen und sprach: Ich bin das Licht der Welt. Wer Mir nachfolgt, der wird nicht im Finstern wandeln, sondern das Licht des Lebens haben.
13 The Pharisees, therefore, said to Him, “You testify of Yourself, Your testimony is not true”;
Da sagten die Pharisäer zu Ihm: Du zeugst von Dir Selbst. Dein Zeugnis ist nicht wahr.
14 Jesus answered and said to them, “And if I testify of Myself—My testimony is true, because I have known from where I came, and to where I go, and you have not known from where I come, or to where I go.
Jesus antwortete und sagte zu ihnen: Und wenn Ich auch von Mir Selbst zeuge, so ist Mein Zeugnis wahr; weil Ich weiß, von wannen Ich komme und wohin Ich gehe; ihr aber wisset nicht, von wannen Ich komme, und wohin Ich gehe.
15 You judge according to the flesh; I do not judge anyone,
Ihr richtet nach dem Fleisch; ich richte niemand.
16 and even if I do judge My judgment is true, because I am not alone, but I and the Father who sent Me;
Und wenn Ich aber richte, so ist Mein Gericht wahr; denn Ich bin nicht allein, sondern Ich und der Vater, Der Mich gesandt hat.
17 and also in your law it has been written that the testimony of two men is true;
Auch ist in eurem Gesetz geschrieben, daß zweier Menschen Zeugnis wahr ist.
18 I am [One] who is testifying of Myself, and the Father who sent Me testifies of Me.”
Ich bin, Der Ich von Mir Selbst zeuge, und der Vater, Der Mich gesandt hat, zeugt von Mir.
19 They said, therefore, to Him, “Where is Your father?” Jesus answered, “You have neither known Me nor My Father: if you had known Me, you had also known My Father.”
Da sagten sie zu Ihm: Wo ist Dein Vater? Jesus antwortete: Ihr kennt weder Mich noch Meinen Vater. Wenn ihr Mich kennetet, so kennetet ihr auch Meinen Vater.
20 Jesus spoke these sayings in the treasury, teaching in the temple, and no one seized Him, because His hour had not yet come;
Diese Reden redete Er am Schatzkasten, da Er lehrte im Heiligtum, und niemand griff Ihn, weil Seine Stunde noch nicht gekommen war.
21 therefore Jesus said again to them, “I go away, and you will seek Me, and you will die in your sin; to where I go away, you are not able to come.”
Abermals sprach nun Jesus zu ihnen: Ich gehe hin und ihr werdet Mich suchen und in eurer Sünde sterben. Wo Ich hingehe, da könnt ihr nicht hinkommen.
22 The Jews, therefore, said, “Will He kill Himself, because He says, To where I go away, you are not able to come?”
Da sagten die Juden: Will Er Sich Selbst töten, daß Er sagt: Wo Ich hingehe, da könnt ihr nicht hinkommen?
23 And He said to them, “You are from beneath, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world;
Und Er sprach zu Ihnen: Ihr seid von unten her, Ich bin von oben. Ihr seid aus dieser Welt, Ich bin nicht aus dieser Welt.
24 I said, therefore, to you, that you will die in your sins, for if you may not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.”
So habe Ich euch gesagt: Ihr werdet in euren Sünden sterben; denn so ihr nicht glaubt, daß Ich bin, so werdet ihr in euren Sünden sterben.
25 They said, therefore, to Him, “You—who are You?” And Jesus said to them, “Even what I spoke of to you at the beginning;
Da sagten sie zu Ihm: Wer bist Du denn? Und Jesus sprach zu ihnen: Was Ich euch auch von Anfang an gesagt habe.
26 many things I have to speak concerning you and to judge, but He who sent Me is true, and I—what things I heard from Him—these I say to the world.”
Ich habe viel von euch zu reden und zu richten; aber Der Mich gesandt hat, ist wahrhaftig; und was Ich von Ihm gehört habe, das spreche Ich zur Welt.
27 They did not know that He spoke to them of the Father;
Sie erkannten nicht, daß Er vom Vater zu ihnen redete.
28 Jesus, therefore, said to them, “When you may lift up the Son of Man then you will know that I AM; and I do nothing of Myself, but according as My Father taught Me, these things I speak;
Da sagte Jesus zu ihnen: Wenn ihr des Menschen Sohn erhöht habt, dann werdet ihr erkennen, daß Ich bin und nichts von Mir Selber tue, sondern wie Mich Mein Vater gelehrt hat, solches rede Ich.
29 and He who sent Me is with Me; the Father did not leave Me alone, because I always do the things pleasing to Him.”
Und Der Mich gesandt hat, ist mit Mir. Der Vater hat Mich nicht allein gelassen, weil Ich allezeit tue, was Ihm gefällig ist.
30 As He is speaking these things, many believed in Him;
Als Er so zu ihnen redete, glaubten viele an Ihn.
31 Jesus, therefore, said to the Jews who believed in Him, “If you may remain in My word, you are truly My disciples,
Da sprach Jesus zu den Juden, die an Ihn glaubten: Wenn ihr in Meinem Worte bleibt, dann seid ihr wahrhaftig Meine Jünger,
32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”
Und werdet die Wahrheit erkennen, und die Wahrheit wird euch frei machen.
33 They answered Him, “We are seed of Abraham; and we have been servants to no one at any time; how do You say—You will become free?”
Sie antworteten Ihm: Wir sind Abrahams Samen, und sind niemals jemandes Knechte gewesen. Wie sprichst Du: Ihr werdet frei werden?
34 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who is committing sin, is a servant of sin,
Jesus antwortete ihnen: Wahrlich, wahrlich, Ich sage euch: Wer die Sünde tut, der ist der Sünde Knecht.
35 and the servant does not remain in the house—throughout the age, the Son remains—throughout the age; (aiōn g165)
Der Knecht aber bleibt nicht ewiglich im Hause; der Sohn bleibt ewiglich. (aiōn g165)
36 if then the Son may make you free, in reality you will be free.
Wenn euch nun der Sohn frei macht, so werdet ihr in der Tat frei sein.
37 I have known that you are seed of Abraham, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you;
Ich weiß, daß ihr Abrahams Samen seid. Aber ihr sucht Mich zu töten, weil Mein Wort in euch nicht haftet.
38 I speak that which I have seen with My Father, and you, therefore, do that which you have seen with your father.”
Ich rede, was Ich bei Meinem Vater gesehen habe; auch ihr nun tut, was ihr bei eurem Vater gesehen habt.
39 They answered and said to Him, “Our father is Abraham”; Jesus says to them, “If you were children of Abraham, the works of Abraham you were doing;
Sie antworteten und sagten zu Ihm: Abraham ist unser Vater. Spricht zu ihnen Jesus: Wäret ihr Abrahams Kinder, tätet ihr wohl Abrahams Werke.
40 and now, you seek to kill Me—a Man who has spoken to you the truth I heard from God; Abraham did not do this;
Nun aber sucht ihr Mich zu töten, einen Menschen, der Ich die Wahrheit zu euch geredet, die Ich von Gott gehört habe. Solches hat Abraham nicht getan.
41 you do the works of your father.” They said, therefore, to Him, “We have not been born of whoredom; we have one Father—God”;
Ihr tut die Werke eures Vaters. Da sprachen sie zu Ihm: Wir sind nicht aus Buhlerei geboren. Wir haben einen Vater - Gott.
42 Jesus then said to them, “If God were your father, you were loving Me, for I came forth from God, and am come; for neither have I come of Myself, but He sent Me;
Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Wäre Gott euer Vater, dann liebtet ihr Mich; denn aus Gott bin Ich ausgegangen und komme Ich; denn Ich bin nicht von Mir Selbst gekommen, sondern Er hat Mich entsandt.
43 why do you not know My speech? Because you are not able to hear My word.
Warum erkennt ihr Meine Rede nicht? Weil ihr Mein Wort nicht hören könnt.
44 You are of a father—the Devil, and the desires of your father you will to do; he was a manslayer from the beginning, and he has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him; when one may speak the falsehood, he speaks of his own, because he is a liar—also his father.
Ihr seid aus dem Vater dem Teufel, und nach eures Vaters Begierden wollt ihr tun. Derselbige war von Anfang ein Menschenmörder, und ist nicht in der Wahrheit bestanden, weil keine Wahrheit in ihm ist. Wenn er Lüge redet, redet er aus dem Eigenen, weil er ein Lügner ist und der Vater derselben.
45 And because I say the truth, you do not believe Me.
Mir aber, weil Ich die Wahrheit rede, glaubt ihr nicht.
46 Who of you convicts Me of sin? And if I speak truth, why do you not believe Me?
Wer von euch kann Mich einer Sünde überführen? Sage Ich aber die Wahrheit, warum glaubt ihr Mir nicht?
47 He who is of God, he hears the sayings of God; because of this you do not hear, because you are not of God.”
Wer aus Gott ist, hört die Reden Gottes; darum hört ihr nicht, weil ihr nicht aus Gott seid.
48 The Jews, therefore, answered and said to Him, “Do we not say well, that You are a Samaritan, and have a demon?”
Da antworteten die Juden und sagten zu Ihm: Haben wir nicht recht gesagt, daß Du ein Samariter bist und einen Dämon hast?
49 Jesus answered, “I do not have a demon, but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me;
Jesus antwortete: Ich habe keinen Dämon, sondern Ich ehre Meinen Vater, ihr aber verunehret Mich.
50 and I do not seek My own glory; there is [One] who is seeking and is judging;
Ich suche nicht Meine Ehre; es ist einer, der sie sucht und richtet.
51 truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone may keep My word, he may not see death—throughout the age.” (aiōn g165)
Wahrlich, wahrlich, Ich sage euch: So einer Mein Wort hält, der wird den Tod nicht schauen ewiglich. (aiōn g165)
52 The Jews, therefore, said to Him, “Now we have known that You have a demon; Abraham died, and the prophets, and You say, If anyone may keep My word, he will not taste of death—throughout the age! (aiōn g165)
Da sprachen die Juden zu Ihm: Nun haben wir erkannt, daß Du einen Dämon hast; Abraham ist gestorben und die Propheten, und Du sagst: Wenn einer Mein Wort hält, der wird den Tod nicht schmecken ewiglich. (aiōn g165)
53 Are You greater than our father Abraham, who died? And the prophets died; whom do You make Yourself?”
Bist Du größer, denn unser Vater Abraham, der gestorben ist? Und die Propheten sind gestorben. Wozu machst Du Dich Selbst?
54 Jesus answered, “If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who is glorifying Me, of whom you say that He is your God;
Jesus antwortete: So Ich Mich Selbst verherrliche, so ist Meine Herrlichkeit nichts. Mein Vater ist es, Der Mich verherrlicht, von Dem ihr sagt, Er sei euer Gott.
55 and you have not known Him, and I have known Him, and if I say that I have not known Him, I will be like you—speaking falsely; but I have known Him, and I keep His word;
Und ihr habt Ihn nicht erkannt; Ich aber kenne Ihn; und so Ich sagte, Ich kenne Ihn nicht, so wäre Ich ein Lügner, wie ihr; aber Ich kenne Ihn und halte Sein Wort.
56 your father Abraham was glad that he might see My day; and he saw, and rejoiced.”
Abraham, euer Vater, frohlockte, daß er Meinen Tag sehen sollte, und er sah ihn und freute sich.
57 The Jews, therefore, said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and You have seen Abraham?”
Da sagten zu Ihm die Juden: Du hast noch keine fünfzig Jahre und hast Abraham gesehen?
58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham’s coming—I AM”;
Jesus spricht zu ihnen: Wahrlich, wahrlich, Ich sage euch: Ehe denn Abraham ward, bin Ich.
59 they took up, therefore, stones that they may cast at Him, but Jesus hid Himself, and went forth out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
Da hoben sie Steine auf, daß sie auf Ihn würfen. Jesus aber verbarg Sich und ging hinaus aus dem Heiligtum, indem Er mitten durch sie hinging; und ging so vorüber.
