John 7
1 And Jesus was walking after these things in Galilee, for He did not wish to walk in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill Him,
தத: பரம்’ யிஹூதீ³யலோகாஸ்தம்’ ஹந்தும்’ ஸமைஹந்த தஸ்மாத்³ யீஸு² ர்யிஹூதா³ப்ரதே³ஸே² பர்ய்யடிதும்’ நேச்ச²ந் கா³லீல் ப்ரதே³ஸே² பர்ய்யடிதும்’ ப்ராரப⁴த|
2 and the celebration of the Jews was near—that of Shelters—
கிந்து தஸ்மிந் ஸமயே யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ தூ³ஷ்யவாஸநாமோத்ஸவ உபஸ்தி²தே
3 His brothers, therefore, said to Him, “Depart from here, and go away to Judea, that Your disciples may also behold Your works that You do;
தஸ்ய ப்⁴ராதரஸ்தம் அவத³ந் யாநி கர்ம்மாணி த்வயா க்ரியந்தே தாநி யதா² தவ ஸி²ஷ்யா: பஸ்²யந்தி தத³ர்த²ம்’ த்வமித: ஸ்தா²நாத்³ யிஹூதீ³யதே³ஸ²ம்’ வ்ரஜ|
4 for no one does anything in secret, and himself seeks to be in public; if you do these things—reveal Yourself to the world”;
ய: கஸ்²சித் ஸ்வயம்’ ப்ரசிகாஸி²ஷதி ஸ கதா³பி கு³ப்தம்’ கர்ம்ம ந கரோதி யதீ³த்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ கர்ம்ம கரோஷி தர்ஹி ஜக³தி நிஜம்’ பரிசாயய|
5 for not even His brothers were believing in Him.
யதஸ்தஸ்ய ப்⁴ராதரோபி தம்’ ந விஸ்²வஸந்தி|
6 Jesus, therefore, says to them, “My time is not yet present, but your time is always ready;
ததா³ யீஸு²ஸ்தாந் அவோசத் மம ஸமய இதா³நீம்’ நோபதிஷ்ட²தி கிந்து யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸமய: ஸததம் உபதிஷ்ட²தி|
7 the world is not able to hate you, but it hates Me, because I testify concerning it that its works are evil.
ஜக³தோ லோகா யுஷ்மாந் ரு’தீயிதும்’ ந ஸ²க்ருவந்தி கிந்து மாமேவ ரு’தீயந்தே யதஸ்தேஷாம்’ கர்மாணி து³ஷ்டாநி தத்ர ஸாக்ஷ்யமித³ம் அஹம்’ த³தா³மி|
8 You—go up to this celebration; I do not yet go up to this celebration, because My time has not yet been fulfilled”;
அதஏவ யூயம் உத்ஸவே(அ)ஸ்மிந் யாத நாஹம் இதா³நீம் அஸ்மிந்நுத்ஸவே யாமி யதோ மம ஸமய இதா³நீம்’ ந ஸம்பூர்ண: |
9 and saying these things to them, He remained in Galilee.
இதி வாக்யம் உக்த்த்வா ஸ கா³லீலி ஸ்தி²தவாந்
10 And when His brothers went up, then also He Himself went up to the celebration, not openly, but as in secret;
கிந்து தஸ்ய ப்⁴ராத்ரு’ஷு தத்ர ப்ரஸ்தி²தேஷு ஸத்ஸு ஸோ(அ)ப்ரகட உத்ஸவம் அக³ச்ச²த்|
11 the Jews, therefore, were seeking Him in the celebration, and said, “Where is that One?”
அநந்தரம் உத்ஸவம் உபஸ்தி²தா யிஹூதீ³யாஸ்தம்’ ம்ரு’க³யித்வாப்ரு’ச்ச²ந் ஸ குத்ர?
12 And there was much murmuring about Him among the multitudes, some indeed said, “He is good”; and others said, “No, but He leads the multitude astray”;
ததோ லோகாநாம்’ மத்⁴யே தஸ்மிந் நாநாவிதா⁴ விவாதா³ ப⁴விதும் ஆரப்³த⁴வந்த: | கேசித்³ அவோசந் ஸ உத்தம: புருஷ: கேசித்³ அவோசந் ந ததா² வரம்’ லோகாநாம்’ ப்⁴ரமம்’ ஜநயதி|
13 no one, however, was speaking freely about Him, through fear of the Jews.
கிந்து யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ ப⁴யாத் கோபி தஸ்ய பக்ஷே ஸ்பஷ்டம்’ நாகத²யத்|
14 And it being now the middle of the celebration, Jesus went up to the temple, and He was teaching,
தத: பரம் உத்ஸவஸ்ய மத்⁴யஸமயே யீஸு² ர்மந்தி³ரம்’ க³த்வா ஸமுபதி³ஸ²தி ஸ்ம|
15 and the Jews were wondering, saying, “How has this One known letters—having not learned?”
ததோ யிஹூதீ³யா லோகா ஆஸ்²சர்ய்யம்’ ஜ்ஞாத்வாகத²யந் ஏஷா மாநுஷோ நாதீ⁴த்யா கத²ம் ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸோ² வித்³வாநபூ⁴த்?
16 Jesus answered them and said, “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me;
ததா³ யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யவோசத்³ உபதே³ஸோ²யம்’ ந மம கிந்து யோ மாம்’ ப்ரேஷிதவாந் தஸ்ய|
17 if anyone may will to do His will, he will know concerning the teaching, whether it is of God, or—[if] I speak from Myself.
யோ ஜநோ நிதே³ஸ²ம்’ தஸ்ய க்³ரஹீஷ்யதி மமோபதே³ஸோ² மத்தோ ப⁴வதி கிம் ஈஸ்²வராத்³ ப⁴வதி ஸ க³நஸ்தஜ்ஜ்ஞாதும்’ ஸ²க்ஷ்யதி|
18 He who is speaking from himself seeks his own glory, but he who is seeking the glory of him who sent him, this one is true, and unrighteousness is not in him;
யோ ஜந: ஸ்வத: கத²யதி ஸ ஸ்வீயம்’ கௌ³ரவம் ஈஹதே கிந்து ய: ப்ரேரயிது ர்கௌ³ரவம் ஈஹதே ஸ ஸத்யவாதீ³ தஸ்மிந் கோப்யத⁴ர்ம்மோ நாஸ்தி|
19 has not Moses given you the Law? And none of you does the Law; why do you seek to kill Me?”
மூஸா யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ வ்யவஸ்தா²க்³ரந்த²ம்’ கிம்’ நாத³தா³த்? கிந்து யுஷ்மாகம்’ கோபி தாம்’ வ்யவஸ்தா²ம்’ ந ஸமாசரதி| மாம்’ ஹந்தும்’ குதோ யதத்⁴வே?
20 The multitude answered and said, “You have a demon, who seeks to kill You?”
ததா³ லோகா அவத³ந் த்வம்’ பூ⁴தக்³ரஸ்தஸ்த்வாம்’ ஹந்தும்’ கோ யததே?
21 Jesus answered and said to them, “I did one work, and you all wonder,
ததோ யீஸு²ரவோசத்³ ஏகம்’ கர்ம்ம மயாகாரி தஸ்மாத்³ யூயம்’ ஸர்வ்வ மஹாஸ்²சர்ய்யம்’ மந்யத்⁴வே|
22 because of this, Moses has given you the circumcision—not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers—and on a Sabbath you circumcise a man;
மூஸா யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ த்வக்சே²த³விதி⁴ம்’ ப்ரத³தௌ³ ஸ மூஸாதோ ந ஜாத: கிந்து பித்ரு’புருஷேப்⁴யோ ஜாத: தேந விஸ்²ராமவாரே(அ)பி மாநுஷாணாம்’ த்வக்சே²த³ம்’ குருத²|
23 if a man receives circumcision on a Sabbath that the Law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with Me that I made a man all whole on a Sabbath?
அதஏவ விஸ்²ராமவாரே மநுஷ்யாணாம்’ த்வக்சே²தே³ க்ரு’தே யதி³ மூஸாவ்யவஸ்தா²மங்க³நம்’ ந ப⁴வதி தர்ஹி மயா விஸ்²ராமவாரே மாநுஷ: ஸம்பூர்ணரூபேண ஸ்வஸ்தோ²(அ)காரி தத்காரணாத்³ யூயம்’ கிம்’ மஹ்யம்’ குப்யத²?
24 Do not judge according to appearance, but the righteous judgment judge.”
ஸபக்ஷபாதம்’ விசாரமக்ரு’த்வா ந்யாய்யம்’ விசாரம்’ குருத|
25 Certain, therefore, of the Jerusalemites said, “Is this not He whom they are seeking to kill?
ததா³ யிரூஸா²லம் நிவாஸிந: கதிபயஜநா அகத²யந் இமே யம்’ ஹந்தும்’ சேஷ்டந்தே ஸ ஏவாயம்’ கிம்’ ந?
26 And behold, He speaks freely, and they say nothing to Him; did the rulers truly know that this is the Christ?
கிந்து பஸ்²யத நிர்ப⁴ய: ஸந் கதா²ம்’ கத²யதி ததா²பி கிமபி அ வத³ந்த்யேதே அயமேவாபி⁴ஷிக்த்தோ ப⁴வதீதி நிஸ்²சிதம்’ கிமதி⁴பதயோ ஜாநந்தி?
27 But this One—we have known where He is from; and the Christ, when He comes, no one knows where He is from.”
மநுஜோயம்’ கஸ்மாதா³க³மத்³ இதி வயம்’ ஜாநோம: கிந்த்வபி⁴ஷிக்த்த ஆக³தே ஸ கஸ்மாதா³க³தவாந் இதி கோபி ஜ்ஞாதும்’ ந ஸ²க்ஷ்யதி|
28 Jesus cried, therefore, in the temple, teaching and saying, “You have both known Me, and you have known from where I am; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you have not known;
ததா³ யீஸு² ர்மத்⁴யேமந்தி³ரம் உபதி³ஸ²ந் உச்சை: காரம் உக்த்தவாந் யூயம்’ கிம்’ மாம்’ ஜாநீத²? கஸ்மாச்சாக³தோஸ்மி தத³பி கிம்’ ஜாநீத²? நாஹம்’ ஸ்வத ஆக³தோஸ்மி கிந்து ய: ஸத்யவாதீ³ ஸஏவ மாம்’ ப்ரேஷிதவாந் யூயம்’ தம்’ ந ஜாநீத²|
29 and I have known Him, because I am from Him, and He sent Me.”
தமஹம்’ ஜாநே தேநாஹம்’ ப்ரேரித அக³தோஸ்மி|
30 They were seeking, therefore, to seize Him, and no one laid the hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come,
தஸ்மாத்³ யிஹூதீ³யாஸ்தம்’ த⁴ர்த்தும் உத்³யதாஸ்ததா²பி கோபி தஸ்ய கா³த்ரே ஹஸ்தம்’ நார்பயத்³ யதோ ஹேதோஸ்ததா³ தஸ்ய ஸமயோ நோபதிஷ்ட²தி|
31 and many out of the multitude believed in Him and said, “The Christ—when He may come—will He do more signs than these that this One did?”
கிந்து ப³ஹவோ லோகாஸ்தஸ்மிந் விஸ்²வஸ்ய கதி²தவாந்தோ(அ)பி⁴ஷிக்த்தபுருஷ ஆக³த்ய மாநுஷஸ்யாஸ்ய க்ரியாப்⁴ய: கிம் அதி⁴கா ஆஸ்²சர்ய்யா: க்ரியா: கரிஷ்யதி?
32 The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning Him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers that they may take Him;
தத: பரம்’ லோகாஸ்தஸ்மிந் இத்த²ம்’ விவத³ந்தே பி²ரூஸி²ந: ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகாஞ்சேதி ஸ்²ருதவந்தஸ்தம்’ த்⁴ரு’த்வா நேதும்’ பதா³திக³ணம்’ ப்ரேஷயாமாஸு: |
33 Jesus, therefore, said to them, “Yet a short time I am with you, and I go away to Him who sent Me;
ததோ யீஸு²ரவத³த்³ அஹம் அல்பதி³நாநி யுஷ்மாபி⁴: ஸார்த்³த⁴ம்’ ஸ்தி²த்வா மத்ப்ரேரயிது: ஸமீபம்’ யாஸ்யாமி|
34 you will seek Me, and you will not find; and where I am, you are not able to come.”
மாம்’ ம்ரு’க³யிஷ்யத்⁴வே கிந்தூத்³தே³ஸ²ம்’ ந லப்ஸ்யத்⁴வே ரத்ர ஸ்தா²ஸ்யாமி தத்ர யூயம்’ க³ந்தும்’ ந ஸ²க்ஷ்யத²|
35 The Jews, therefore, said among themselves, “To where is this One about to go that we will not find Him? Is He about to go to the dispersion of the Greeks, and to teach the Greeks?
ததா³ யிஹூதீ³யா: பரஸ்பரம்’ வக்த்துமாரேபி⁴ரே அஸ்யோத்³தே³ஸ²ம்’ ந ப்ராப்ஸ்யாம ஏதாத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ கிம்’ ஸ்தா²நம்’ யாஸ்யதி? பி⁴ந்நதே³ஸே² விகீர்ணாநாம்’ யிஹூதீ³யாநாம்’ ஸந்நிதி⁴ம் ஏஷ க³த்வா தாந் உபதே³க்ஷ்யதி கிம்’?
36 What is this word that He said, You will seek Me, and you will not find? And, Where I am, you are not able to come?”
நோ சேத் மாம்’ க³வேஷயிஷ்யத² கிந்தூத்³தே³ஸ²ம்’ ந ப்ராப்ஸ்யத² ஏஷ கோத்³ரு’ஸ²ம்’ வாக்யமித³ம்’ வத³தி?
37 And in the last, the great day of the celebration, Jesus stood and cried, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink;
அநந்தரம் உத்ஸவஸ்ய சரமே(அ)ஹநி அர்தா²த் ப்ரதா⁴நதி³நே யீஸு²ருத்திஷ்ட²ந் உச்சை: காரம் ஆஹ்வயந் உதி³தவாந் யதி³ கஸ்²சித் த்ரு’ஷார்த்தோ ப⁴வதி தர்ஹி மமாந்திகம் ஆக³த்ய பிவது|
38 he who is believing in Me, according as the Writing said, Rivers of living water will flow out of his belly”;
ய: கஸ்²சிந்மயி விஸ்²வஸிதி த⁴ர்ம்மக்³ரந்த²ஸ்ய வசநாநுஸாரேண தஸ்யாப்⁴யந்தரதோ(அ)ம்ரு’ததோயஸ்ய ஸ்ரோதாம்’ஸி நிர்க³மிஷ்யந்தி|
39 and this He said of the Spirit, which those believing in Him were about to receive; for not yet was the Holy Spirit, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
யே தஸ்மிந் விஸ்²வஸந்தி த ஆத்மாநம்’ ப்ராப்ஸ்யந்தீத்யர்தே² ஸ இத³ம்’ வாக்யம்’ வ்யாஹ்ரு’தவாந் ஏதத்காலம்’ யாவத்³ யீஸு² ர்விப⁴வம்’ ந ப்ராப்தஸ்தஸ்மாத் பவித்ர ஆத்மா நாதீ³யத|
40 Many, therefore, out of the multitude, having heard the word, said, “This is truly the Prophet”;
ஏதாம்’ வாணீம்’ ஸ்²ருத்வா ப³ஹவோ லோகா அவத³ந் அயமேவ நிஸ்²சிதம்’ ஸ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதீ³|
41 others said, “This is the Christ”; and others said, “Why, does the Christ come out of Galilee?
கேசித்³ அகத²யந் ஏஷஏவ ஸோபி⁴ஷிக்த்த: கிந்து கேசித்³ அவத³ந் ஸோபி⁴ஷிக்த்த: கிம்’ கா³லீல் ப்ரதே³ஸே² ஜநிஷ்யதே?
42 Did the Writing not say that out of the seed of David, and from Beth-Lehem—the village where David was—the Christ comes?”
ஸோபி⁴ஷிக்த்தோ தா³யூதோ³ வம்’ஸே² தா³யூதோ³ ஜந்மஸ்தா²நே பை³த்லேஹமி பத்தநே ஜநிஷ்யதே த⁴ர்ம்மக்³ரந்தே² கிமித்த²ம்’ லிகி²தம்’ நாஸ்தி?
43 A division, therefore, arose among the multitude because of Him.
இத்த²ம்’ தஸ்மிந் லோகாநாம்’ பி⁴ந்நவாக்யதா ஜாதா|
44 And certain of them were willing to seize Him, but no one laid hands on Him;
கதிபயலோகாஸ்தம்’ த⁴ர்த்தும் ஐச்ச²ந் ததா²பி தத்³வபுஷி கோபி ஹஸ்தம்’ நார்பயத்|
45 the officers came, therefore, to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, “Why did you not bring Him?”
அநந்தரம்’ பாதா³திக³ணே ப்ரதா⁴நயாஜகாநாம்’ பி²ரூஸி²நாஞ்ச ஸமீபமாக³தவதி தே தாந் அப்ரு’ச்ச²ந் குதோ ஹேதோஸ்தம்’ நாநயத?
46 The officers answered, “Never so spoke man—as this Man.”
ததா³ பதா³தய: ப்ரத்யவத³ந் ஸ மாநவ இவ கோபி கதா³பி நோபாதி³ஸ²த்|
47 The Pharisees, therefore, answered them, “Have you also been led astray?
தத: பி²ரூஸி²ந: ப்ராவோசந் யூயமபி கிமப்⁴ராமிஷ்ட?
48 Did anyone out of the rulers believe in Him? Or out of the Pharisees?
அதி⁴பதீநாம்’ பி²ரூஸி²நாஞ்ச கோபி கிம்’ தஸ்மிந் வ்யஸ்²வஸீத்?
49 But this multitude, that is not knowing the Law, is accursed.”
யே ஸா²ஸ்த்ரம்’ ந ஜாநந்தி த இமே(அ)த⁴மலோகாஏவ ஸா²பக்³ரஸ்தா: |
50 Nicodemus says to them—he who came by night to Him—being one of them,
ததா³ நிகதீ³மநாமா தேஷாமேகோ ய: க்ஷணதா³யாம்’ யீஸோ²: ஸந்நிதி⁴ம் அகா³த் ஸ உக்த்தவாந்
51 “Does our law judge the Man, if it may not hear from Him first, and know what He does?”
தஸ்ய வாக்யே ந ஸ்²ருதே கர்ம்மணி ச ந விதி³தே (அ)ஸ்மாகம்’ வ்யவஸ்தா² கிம்’ கஞ்சந மநுஜம்’ தோ³ஷீகரோதி?
52 They answered and said to him, “Are you also out of Galilee? Search and see that a prophet has not risen out of Galilee”; [[
ததஸ்தே வ்யாஹரந் த்வமபி கிம்’ கா³லீலீயலோக: ? விவிச்ய பஸ்²ய க³லீலி கோபி ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதீ³ நோத்பத்³யதே|
53 and each one went on to his house, but Jesus went on to the Mount of Olives.
தத: பரம்’ ஸர்வ்வே ஸ்வம்’ ஸ்வம்’ க்³ரு’ஹம்’ க³தா: கிந்து யீஸு² ர்ஜைதுநநாமாநம்’ ஸி²லோச்சயம்’ க³தவாந்|
