< John 7 >
1 And Jesus was walking after these things in Galilee, for He did not wish to walk in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill Him,
Masuole chu, Jisua'n Galilee rama a chaia; Juda rachamneipungeiin that rang an bôk sikin Judea rama chu chai nuom khâi mak.
2 and the celebration of the Jews was near—that of Shelters—
Judangei Kâirêng khohoi zora anâi zoia,
3 His brothers, therefore, said to Him, “Depart from here, and go away to Judea, that Your disciples may also behold Your works that You do;
masikin Jisua lâibungngei han a kôm, “Hi mun hih mâk inla, Judea rama se roh, masika han nu nûkjûi ngeiin ni sintho an mu theina rangin, an tia.
4 for no one does anything in secret, and himself seeks to be in public; if you do these things—reveal Yourself to the world”;
Ama riming inthang rang nuompu chu tutên a sintho thup ngâi mak. Hi neinunngei hih ni sin anînchu rammuol pumpuiin nu chungroi riet rese bah!” an tia.
5 for not even His brothers were believing in Him.
(A lâibungngei luon ama iem mak ngei.)
6 Jesus, therefore, says to them, “My time is not yet present, but your time is always ready;
Jisua'n an kôm, “Keima rangin chu azora diktak la tung mak. Zora pai hih nangni rangin chu adik ani.
7 the world is not able to hate you, but it hates Me, because I testify concerning it that its works are evil.
Rammuolin nangni mumâk maka, aniatachu keima chu mi mumâk ngâi, a sintho ngei ha sa mak tiin ki ril ngâi sikin.
8 You—go up to this celebration; I do not yet go up to this celebration, because My time has not yet been fulfilled”;
Khohoia nangni lei se roi, kei chu khohoia la se thei no ning, ko zora diktak ala tung loi sikin,” a tia.
9 and saying these things to them, He remained in Galilee.
Ma chong hah a ti suole khom ama chu Galilee rama a la om bang.
10 And when His brothers went up, then also He Himself went up to the celebration, not openly, but as in secret;
A lâibungngei khohoia an se suole chu Jisua khom a se sa; ânlangin chu se maka, inrûkin a se zoi.
11 the Jews, therefore, were seeking Him in the celebration, and said, “Where is that One?”
Juda rachamneipungeiin khohoia han ama an roka, “Khonmo aom?” tiin an rekel titira.
12 And there was much murmuring about Him among the multitudes, some indeed said, “He is good”; and others said, “No, but He leads the multitude astray”;
Mipuingeiin a chungroia an inkereng chichiena; senkhatin, “Miriem sa kêng,” an tia. Adang ngeiin, “Nimak, ama kêng mingei lamnôk tieng a tuong ngâi,” an tia.
13 no one, however, was speaking freely about Him, through fear of the Jews.
Hannirese Juda rachamneipungei an chi sikin tutên ânlangin chu a chungroi misîr ngam mak ngei.
14 And it being now the middle of the celebration, Jesus went up to the temple, and He was teaching,
Khohoi ha inang dôr an mang tena chu Jisua Biekina a sea mingei a minchu phut zoi.
15 and the Jews were wondering, saying, “How has this One known letters—having not learned?”
Juda rachamneipungei han an kamâm sabaka, “Hi mi hi ânchuna boi tetin kho angin mo madôr a riet thei hi!” an tia.
16 Jesus answered them and said, “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me;
Jisua'n a thuona, “Ki minchuna chong hih keima kata nimaka, aniatachu Pathien mi tîrpu renga juong kêng ani.
17 if anyone may will to do His will, he will know concerning the teaching, whether it is of God, or—[if] I speak from Myself.
Tutu khom Pathien lungdo a sin nuom kai chu hi minchuna chong hih Pathien renga juong mo, aninônchu ka rachama ko chong mo riet an tih.
18 He who is speaking from himself seeks his own glory, but he who is seeking the glory of him who sent him, this one is true, and unrighteousness is not in him;
Tukhom ama rachama chongpu chu ama roiinpuina man rang a pût ani. Hannirese, a tîrpu roiminpui rang a nuompu'n chu dikna a dôna, male ama sûnga han dikloina reng omak.
19 has not Moses given you the Law? And none of you does the Law; why do you seek to kill Me?”
Moses'n Balam nangni a pêk nimak mo? Hannirese Balam hah tutên jôm mak chei. Ithomo ni that rang nin bôk hi?” a tia.
20 The multitude answered and said, “You have a demon, who seeks to kill You?”
Mipuingei han, “Ramkhori nang a sûr ngihi! Tumo nang that rang a bôk?” tiin lokongeiin an thuona.
21 Jesus answered and said to them, “I did one work, and you all wonder,
Jisua'n an kôm, “Sininkhêl inkhat ko thoa, nin rêngin nin kamâm sabaka.
22 because of this, Moses has given you the circumcision—not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers—and on a Sabbath you circumcise a man;
Moses'n nin nâipasalngei sertan rangin chong nangni a pêka (Moses'n a phut nimaka, nin richibulngeiin kêng an phut ani), masikin Sabbathnin pasalte ser nin tan ngâi ani.
23 if a man receives circumcision on a Sabbath that the Law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with Me that I made a man all whole on a Sabbath?
Moses Balam asiet loina rangin Sabbathni khom pasalte sertan nin tho ngâi anînte, keiman Sabbathnia mi ki mindam phar sikin ithomo ku chunga nin takasi?
24 Do not judge according to appearance, but the righteous judgment judge.”
Pêntienga ânlang rang vaiin roijêk mong ungla, male adiktakin roijêk roi,” a tia.
25 Certain, therefore, of the Jerusalemites said, “Is this not He whom they are seeking to kill?
Jerusalema mi senkhatin an tia, “Hi mi hih rachamneipungeiin that ranga an pût ha nimak mo?
26 And behold, He speaks freely, and they say nothing to Him; did the rulers truly know that this is the Christ?
En ta u! Mipui rietin thurchi a misîra, male tutên rokôk mak ngei! Ama hih Messiah ani tiin rachamneipu ngeiin an riet tatak zoi mini?
27 But this One—we have known where He is from; and the Christ, when He comes, no one knows where He is from.”
Aniatachu Messiah a juong tika chu kho renga mo a juong tutên riet no ni ngei. Hi mi hi chu a hongna ei rêngin ei riet-iem ani,” an tia.
28 Jesus cried, therefore, in the temple, teaching and saying, “You have both known Me, and you have known from where I am; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you have not known;
Jisua'n Biekina a minchu lâihan rôl inringtakin a tia, “Tumo ki ni le kho renga hong mo ki ni nin riet tatak mo zoi? Ka rachama juong ni mu-ung. Mi tîrpu chu mi diktak ani. Nangnin chu ama ha riet mak choia,
29 and I have known Him, because I am from Him, and He sent Me.”
aniatachu keiman chu ama ha ki rieta, a kôm renga juong le ama mi tîr ki ni sikin,” a tia.
30 They were seeking, therefore, to seize Him, and no one laid the hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come,
Hanchu ama hah sûr rang an pût zoia, aniatachu, azora ala tung loi sikin tutên an kut musum mak ngei.
31 and many out of the multitude believed in Him and said, “The Christ—when He may come—will He do more signs than these that this One did?”
Hannirese mipui lâia mi tamtakin chu ama an iem zoi, “Messiah a juong tika hi mi hin a sin nêka tam sininkhêlngei sin thei ni mo?” an tia.
32 The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning Him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers that they may take Him;
Phariseengeiin Jisua chungroia mipuingei an inkereng chichiena chong an rieta, masikin ochaisingei le Phariseengeiin Jisua sûr rangin rungpungei an tîra.
33 Jesus, therefore, said to them, “Yet a short time I am with you, and I go away to Him who sent Me;
Jisua'n an kôm, “Chomolte nin kôm la om ka ta, masuole chu mi tîrpu kôm sêng ki tih, a tia.
34 you will seek Me, and you will not find; and where I am, you are not able to come.”
Nangnin mi rok nin ta, mi mu no tunui, ke sena ranga nin se thei loi sikin.”
35 The Jews, therefore, said among themselves, “To where is this One about to go that we will not find Him? Is He about to go to the dispersion of the Greeks, and to teach the Greeks?
Juda rachamneipungei han anni nanâkin, “Ei mu thei loina rangin khotieng mo se rang a ti? Ei mingei omna Greek khopuilienngeia sea, male Greekngei juong minchu rang a ti mini? an tia.
36 What is this word that He said, You will seek Me, and you will not find? And, Where I am, you are not able to come?”
Nangnin mi rok nin ta mi mu no tunui, ke sena ranga hong thei no tunui, a ti hih khoimo a tina?” an tia.
37 And in the last, the great day of the celebration, Jesus stood and cried, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink;
Khohoi chîn rang ni le nikhuo lupuitak ni han Jisua ândinga, rôl inringtakin, “Tukhom a tui ânrâl kai chu ko kôm hong senla ngeia, nêk rese ngei, male
38 he who is believing in Me, according as the Writing said, Rivers of living water will flow out of his belly”;
Pathien lekhabu'n ati anghan, tukhom mi iem kai chu a sûng renga ‘Ringna-pêk’ tuinârngei luong suok atih,” a tipe ngeia.
39 and this He said of the Spirit, which those believing in Him were about to receive; for not yet was the Holy Spirit, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
Mahi Jisua'n ama iem ngeiin Ratha an chang rang chungroi a misîrna ani. Ma zora han Ratha pêk la nimaka; Jisua ha roiinpuia kaithoi ala ni loi sikin.
40 Many, therefore, out of the multitude, having heard the word, said, “This is truly the Prophet”;
Mingei lâia senkhatin ha chong hah an rietin chu, “Hi mi hih Dêipu tatak kêng ani ngihi!” an tia.
41 others said, “This is the Christ”; and others said, “Why, does the Christ come out of Galilee?
Adangngeiin chu, “Ama hih Messiah kêng ani!” an tia. Hannirese adangngeiin chu, “Messiah chu Galilee ram renga hong suok no nih! an tia.
42 Did the Writing not say that out of the seed of David, and from Beth-Lehem—the village where David was—the Christ comes?”
Pathien lekhabu'n ati anghan Messiah chu Rêng David jâisuon renga nîng a ta, David omna khopui Bethlehema a suok rang ani,” an tia.
43 A division, therefore, arose among the multitude because of Him.
Masikin Jisua sikin mipuingei lâia insenna aom zoia.
44 And certain of them were willing to seize Him, but no one laid hands on Him;
Mi senkhatin sûr rang an bôka, aniatachu tutên a chunga an kut musum mak ngei.
45 the officers came, therefore, to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, “Why did you not bring Him?”
Mi rungpungei ha an hong kîr nôka, Ochaisingei le Phariseengei han an kôm, “Ithomo nin hong tuong loi?” tiin an rekel ngeia.
46 The officers answered, “Never so spoke man—as this Man.”
Mi rungpungei han an thuona, “Hipa anga thurchi misîr reng la om ngâi mak ngei!” tiin an thuona.
47 The Pharisees, therefore, answered them, “Have you also been led astray?
Phariseengeiin an kôm, “Nangni khom huongin nin om sa mo ni zoi?” tiin an rekel ngeia.
48 Did anyone out of the rulers believe in Him? Or out of the Pharisees?
“Rachamneipungei le Phariseengei lâia mi inkhat luon ama an iem zoi ti nin riet mo?
49 But this multitude, that is not knowing the Law, is accursed.”
Hi mipuingei hih Moses Balam riet mak ngei, masikin Pathien khomâksâmna nuoia om kêng an ni!”
50 Nicodemus says to them—he who came by night to Him—being one of them,
Phariseengei lâia mi inkhat Nicodemus, motona Jisua intongpui ranga sêpu ha a oma. Ama'n midangngei kôm,
51 “Does our law judge the Man, if it may not hear from Him first, and know what He does?”
“Ei Balam dungjûiin chu tukhom a chongbâi suok ei riet mân le a sintho ei mu mân chu theiloi minchang thei ngâi mak me,” a tia.
52 They answered and said to him, “Are you also out of Galilee? Search and see that a prophet has not risen out of Galilee”; [[
“Asa,” anni ngei han a kôm, “Nang khom Galilee ram renga hong mo ni ni? Pathien Lekhabungei pore inla dêipu Galilee ram renga hong suok ngâi mak ti riet ni tih,” tiin an thuona.
53 and each one went on to his house, but Jesus went on to the Mount of Olives.
