< John 7 >

1 And Jesus was walking after these things in Galilee, for He did not wish to walk in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill Him,
Pa aga, Yesu kaweriti kankugendagenda kulaa ku Galilaya. Kafiriti ndiri kugendagenda kumkowa wa Yudeya toziya wakulu wa Wayawudi waweriti wankufira kumlaga.
2 and the celebration of the Jews was near—that of Shelters—
Shipindi sha msambu gwa Wayawudi gwa visasa guweriti gwapakwegera.
3 His brothers, therefore, said to Him, “Depart from here, and go away to Judea, that Your disciples may also behold Your works that You do;
Su, walongu wakuwi wamgambira, “Guwuki panu gugendi Yudeya, su wafundwa waku wawoni vitwatira vyagutenda.
4 for no one does anything in secret, and himself seeks to be in public; if you do these things—reveal Yourself to the world”;
Muntu katenda ndiri vitwatira kwa kubada pakafira kamanikani kwa wantu. Toziya gutenda vitwatira avi, guleki wantu wa pasipanu poseri wavimani kuusu gwenga.”
5 for not even His brothers were believing in Him.
Ata walongu wakuwi wamjimira ndiri.
6 Jesus, therefore, says to them, “My time is not yet present, but your time is always ready;
Yesu kawagambira, “Shipindi shangu shashifaa shankali kusoka. Mwenga kila shipindi shifaa.
7 the world is not able to hate you, but it hates Me, because I testify concerning it that its works are evil.
Wantu wa pasipanu hapeni wizi kuwakalalira mwenga, neni wankalalira toziya neni ntakula kwawu kuwera matendu gakuwi gadoda.
8 You—go up to this celebration; I do not yet go up to this celebration, because My time has not yet been fulfilled”;
Mwenga mgendi kumsambu. Neni hapeni ng'endi ku msambu aku vinu, toziya saa yaneni yaifaa yankali kusoka.”
9 and saying these things to them, He remained in Galilee.
Katakuliti aga, shakapanu kendereyiti kulikala Galilaya.
10 And when His brothers went up, then also He Himself went up to the celebration, not openly, but as in secret;
Walongu wakuwi pawagenditi kala kumsambu, Yesu kagenditi viraa, kumbiti kagenditi ndiri pawamlola ira kagenditi kwa kulififa.
11 the Jews, therefore, were seeking Him in the celebration, and said, “Where is that One?”
Wakulu wa Wayawudi waweriti wankumsakula ku msambu aku. Womberi wakosiya, “Ka koshi?”
12 And there was much murmuring about Him among the multitudes, some indeed said, “He is good”; and others said, “No, but He leads the multitude astray”;
Kuweriti mapwepweziyu nentu kuusu Yesu mulipinga lya wantu. Wamonga watakuliti, “Yesu ndo muntu muheri.” Na wamonga watakuliti, “Ndala! Kankuwapayira wantu.”
13 no one, however, was speaking freely about Him, through fear of the Jews.
Kumbiti kwahera muntu yakatakuliti kuusu Yesu paweru, toziya waweriti wankuwatira wakulu wa Shiyawudi.
14 And it being now the middle of the celebration, Jesus went up to the temple, and He was teaching,
Msambu agu pagusokiti pakati na kumalirika, Yesu pakagenditi ku Numba nkulu ya Mlungu, kanjiti kufunda.
15 and the Jews were wondering, saying, “How has this One known letters—having not learned?”
Wakulu wa Shiyawudi walikangashiti nentu, walongiti, “Iwera hashi muntu ayu kerewa nentu, nayomberi kagenditi ndiri kushuli?”
16 Jesus answered them and said, “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me;
Yesu kawankula, “Shilii shanfunda shilawa kwaneni ndiri, ira shilawa kwa Mlungu, ndo mweni yakantumiti.
17 if anyone may will to do His will, he will know concerning the teaching, whether it is of God, or—[if] I speak from Myself.
Muntu yakafira kutenda galii gagafira Mlungu, haguvimani handa mafundu gangu galawa kwa Mlungu, ama neni nfunda kwa uwezu wangu namweni.
18 He who is speaking from himself seeks his own glory, but he who is seeking the glory of him who sent him, this one is true, and unrighteousness is not in him;
Muntu yakatakula kwa uwezu wakuwi mweni, kankusakula uzyumi wakuwi mweni. Kumbiti ulii yakasakula uzyumi wa ulii yakantumiti, ayu ndo mwaminika na mngati mwakuwi kwahera ufyangu woseri.
19 has not Moses given you the Law? And none of you does the Law; why do you seek to kill Me?”
Hashi, Musa kakupanana ndiri Lilagaliru? Ata hangu, kwahera ata yumu gwenu yakalijimila Lilagaliru. Hashi, mfira mndagi?”
20 The multitude answered and said, “You have a demon, who seeks to kill You?”
Lipinga lya wantu limwankula, “Gwenga gwana shamshera! Gani kafira kukulaga?”
21 Jesus answered and said to them, “I did one work, and you all wonder,
Yesu kawankula, “Kwana liuzauza limu lyantenditi, namwenga mlikangashiti.
22 because of this, Moses has given you the circumcision—not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers—and on a Sabbath you circumcise a man;
Musa kawalagaliriti mwenga muwayingiziyi jandu wana wenu, shitiba ashi sha Musa ndiri ira wambuyi wenu ndo wanjiti kushitenda shitiba ashi na mumwingiziya jandu mwana mulishaka lya Kwoyera.
23 if a man receives circumcision on a Sabbath that the Law of Moses may not be broken, are you angry with Me that I made a man all whole on a Sabbath?
Handa pamumwingiziya mwana jandu mulishaka lya Kwoyera su mleka ndiri Lilagaliru lya Musa, iwera hashi munkalalira neni toziya numponiziya muntu mulishaka lya Kwoyera?
24 Do not judge according to appearance, but the righteous judgment judge.”
Mleki kutoza kwa kunja hera, mtozi kwa shipimu sha teratera.”
25 Certain, therefore, of the Jerusalemites said, “Is this not He whom they are seeking to kill?
Wantu wamu wa Yerusalemu watakuliti, “Ndo ayu ndiri, muntu yawamsakula wamlagi?
26 And behold, He speaks freely, and they say nothing to Him; did the rulers truly know that this is the Christ?
Mloli! Kawagambira pota na kufifa, womberi watakula ndiri shintu shoseri kuusu yomberi! Hashi, iwezekana kuwera wakulu wavimana nakaka kuwera muntu ayu ndo Kristu?
27 But this One—we have known where He is from; and the Christ, when He comes, no one knows where He is from.”
Kumbiti Kristu pakaweriti kankwiza, kwahera muntu yoseri yakavimaniti kuwera Kristu hakalawili koshi, kumbiti tuvimana kuwera muntu ayu kwakalawira!”
28 Jesus cried, therefore, in the temple, teaching and saying, “You have both known Me, and you have known from where I am; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you have not known;
Yesu pakaweriti kankufunda Mnumba nkulu ya Mlungu, yomberi katakuliti kwa liziwu, “Mumana neni na muvimana kwanawa? Niza ndiri kwa uwezu wangu mweni. Ulii yakantumiti ndo mwaminika nentu, mwenga mumana ndiri,
29 and I have known Him, because I am from Him, and He sent Me.”
Kumbiti neni numumana, toziya ndawa kwakuwi, ndo mweni yakantumiti.”
30 They were seeking, therefore, to seize Him, and no one laid the hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come,
Womberi wafiliti kumkamula Yesu, kumbiti kwahera muntu yakaweza kumbata yomberi toziya saa yakuwi yankali kusoka.
31 and many out of the multitude believed in Him and said, “The Christ—when He may come—will He do more signs than these that this One did?”
Wantu wavuwa mulipinga wamjimiriti na walonga, “Kristu pakiza hakatendi mauzauza nentu kuliku aga gakatenditi muntu ayu?”
32 The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning Him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers that they may take Him;
Mafalisayu wapikiniriti wantu pawapwepa visoweru avi kuusu Yesu. Su womberi pamuhera na watambika wakulu wa Numba ya Mlungu wawatumiti wanjagila wambati Yesu.
33 Jesus, therefore, said to them, “Yet a short time I am with you, and I go away to Him who sent Me;
Yesu katakula, “Nankali namwenga kwa shipindi shididini, su hanumugenderi ulii yakantumiti.
34 you will seek Me, and you will not find; and where I am, you are not able to come.”
Hamunsakuli kumbiti hapeni mumoni, toziya hapeni mwizi pahala palii panwera.”
35 The Jews, therefore, said among themselves, “To where is this One about to go that we will not find Him? Is He about to go to the dispersion of the Greeks, and to teach the Greeks?
Wakulu wa Shiyawudi walitakuziana weni, “Muntu ayu hakagendi koshi ndo peni hapeni tumpati? Hakagendi kwa lushi zya Wagiriki ndo peni wantu wetu Wayawudi pawalikala na hakawafundi Wagiriki?
36 What is this word that He said, You will seek Me, and you will not find? And, Where I am, you are not able to come?”
Kamanisha shishi pakatakula, ‘Hatumsakuli kumbiti hapeni tumwoni na palii pahala pakawera hapeni tuwezi kusoka?’”
37 And in the last, the great day of the celebration, Jesus stood and cried, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink;
Lishaka lya kupelera lya msambu agu liweriti lishaka likulu. Yesu kagolokiti na kutakula kwa liziwu likulu, “Yakayumuluwa, kizi kwaneni,
38 he who is believing in Me, according as the Writing said, Rivers of living water will flow out of his belly”;
na yoseri yakanjimira neni kalandi. Gambira Malembu Mananagala ntambu yagalembwa, ‘Yakanjimira neni lushemba lwa mashi ga ukomu haganyiririki kulawa mumoyu mwakuwi.’”
39 and this He said of the Spirit, which those believing in Him were about to receive; for not yet was the Holy Spirit, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
Yesu katakuliti aga kuusu Rohu, ndo mweni yawamjimira yomberi hawamuwanki. Shipindi shilii, Rohu Mnanagala kaweriti kankali kusoka toziya Yesu kaweriti kankali kukwiswa.
40 Many, therefore, out of the multitude, having heard the word, said, “This is truly the Prophet”;
Wantu wamu pakati pa lipinga lilii wapikiniriti visoweru avi, watakula, “Nakaka muntu ayu ndo ulii mbuyi gwa Mlungu!”
41 others said, “This is the Christ”; and others said, “Why, does the Christ come out of Galilee?
Wamonga watakula, “Ayu ndo Kristu!” Kumbiti wamonga watakuliti, “Kristu hapeni kizi kulawa ku Galilaya!
42 Did the Writing not say that out of the seed of David, and from Beth-Lehem—the village where David was—the Christ comes?”
Malembu Mananagala galembwiti hangu kuwera Kristu hakaweri mushiyiwuku sha Mfalumi Dawudi na hakayiwuki ku Betirehemu, lushi lyakalikaliti Dawudi.”
43 A division, therefore, arose among the multitude because of Him.
Su, kulawiriti malekaniru kuusu yomberi pakati palipinga lilii lya wantu.
44 And certain of them were willing to seize Him, but no one laid hands on Him;
Wantu wamu wafiriti kumbata Yesu, kumbuti kwahera yakajeriti kumbata.
45 the officers came, therefore, to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, “Why did you not bring Him?”
Wanjagila pawawuyiti kwa Watambika wakulu na Mafalisayu, womberi wawakosiya, “Iwera hashi mumjega ndiri Yesu?”
46 The officers answered, “Never so spoke man—as this Man.”
Wanjagila wawankula, “Kwahera muntu yakapatiti nakamu kutakula gambira muntu ayu ntambu yakatakuliti!”
47 The Pharisees, therefore, answered them, “Have you also been led astray?
Mafalisayu wawakosiya, “Hashi na mwenga wakuzyangani viraa?
48 Did anyone out of the rulers believe in Him? Or out of the Pharisees?
Hashi, muwoniti kala yumu gwa wakulu wa wantu, ama yumu gwa Mafalisayu yakamjimiriti?
49 But this multitude, that is not knowing the Law, is accursed.”
Lipinga ali lya wantu livimana ndiri Lilagaliru lya Musa, lipangirwa!”
50 Nicodemus says to them—he who came by night to Him—being one of them,
Yumu gwa Mafalisayu kaweriti Nikodemu ndo mweni pakwanjira paliya kamgenderiti Yesu. Su, kawagambiriti womberi,
51 “Does our law judge the Man, if it may not hear from Him first, and know what He does?”
“Lilagaliru lyetu liweza ndiri kumtoza muntu pamberi pa kumpikinira kwanja na kuvimana shakatenda”
52 They answered and said to him, “Are you also out of Galilee? Search and see that a prophet has not risen out of Galilee”; [[
Womberi wamwankula, “Hashi, gwenga viraa gulawira Galilaya? Su kagabetuli Malembu Mananagala, nagwenga haguwoni kuwera Galilaya hapeni kalawiri mbuyi gwa Mlungu!”
53 and each one went on to his house, but Jesus went on to the Mount of Olives.
Kila muntu kagenditi ukaya.
