< John 5 >
1 After these things there was a celebration of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
Mgbe nke a gasịrị, otu mmemme ndị Juu ruru, Jisọs agaa Jerusalem.
2 and there is in Jerusalem by the sheep-[gate] a pool that is called in Hebrew Bethesda, having five porches,
Ma otu ọdọ mmiri nta dị nʼime Jerusalem nʼakụkụ Ọnụ ụzọ ama Atụrụ. Aha ọdọ mmiri ahụ nʼasụsụ Hibru bụ Betsaida, nke nwere mgbe ọnụ ụzọ ise.
3 in these were lying a great multitude of the ailing, blind, lame, withered, [[waiting for the moving of the water,
Nʼime ya ka igwe ndị ahụ na-esighị ike na-edina; ndị ìsì, ndị ngwụrọ, na ndị akụkụ ahụ ha kpọnwụrụ akpọnwụ, ha na-eche mgbe mmiri ahụ ga-enugharị.
4 for a messenger at a set time was going down in the pool, and was troubling the water, the first then having gone in after the troubling of the water, became whole of whatever sickness he was held.]]
Nʼihi na mmụọ ozi Onyenwe anyị na-agbadata site na mgbe ruo na mgbe gbarụọ mmiri ahụ. Onye ọrịa ọbụla buru ụzọ daba nʼime mmiri ahụ ma a gbarụọ ya, ka a na-agwọ ihe ọbụla bụ ọrịa ya.
5 And there was a certain man there being in ailment thirty-eight years,
Otu nwoke nọ nʼebe ahụ bụ onye nọrọla nʼọrịa iri afọ atọ na asatọ.
6 him Jesus having seen lying, and having known that he is already a long time, He says to him, “Do you wish to become whole?”
Mgbe Jisọs hụrụ ya, matakwa na ọ nọọla nʼọnọdụ a ogologo oge, ọ jụrụ ya sị, “Ị chọrọ ka a gwọọ gị ọrịa?”
7 The ailing man answered Him, “Lord, I have no man, that, when the water may be troubled, he may put me into the pool, and while I am coming, another goes down before me.”
Onye ọrịa ahụ zara, “Nna m ukwu, enweghị m onye ọbụla ga-enyere m aka kuba m nʼime ọdọ mmiri a ma a gbarụọ ya, mgbe o bụla m chọrọ ka m danye, onye ọzọ na-eburu m ụzọ danye.”
8 Jesus says to him, “Rise, take up your pallet, and be walking”;
Jisọs gwara ya, “Bilie, chilie ute gị jegharịa.”
9 and immediately the man became whole, and he took up his pallet, and was walking, and it was a Sabbath on that day,
Nʼotu oge ahụ, ahụ dịrị nwoke ahụ mma, ọ chịlịri ute ya, malite ijegharị. Ihe a mere nʼụbọchị izuike.
10 the Jews then said to him that has been healed, “It is a Sabbath; it is not lawful to you to take up the pallet.”
Ma ndị Juu gwara nwoke ahụ a gwọrọ ọrịa, “Taa bụ ụbọchị izuike, o megidere iwu na ị ga-ebu ute gị.”
11 He answered them, “He who made me whole—that One said to me, Take up your pallet, and be walking”;
Ma ọ zaghachiri ha, “Nwoke ahụ mere ka ahụ dị m mma sịrị m, ‘Chilie ute gị laa.’”
12 they questioned him, then, “Who is the Man who is saying to you, Take up your bed and be walking?”
13 But he that was healed had not known who He is, for Jesus moved away, a multitude being in the place.
Ma nwoke ahụ a gwọrọ amataghị onye ọ bụ nʼihi na Jisọs zoro onwe ya banye nʼetiti igwe mmadụ.
14 After these things, Jesus finds him in the temple and said to him, “Behold, you have become whole; sin no more, lest something worse may happen to you.”
Emesịa, Jisọs hụrụ ya nʼime ụlọnsọ ukwu sị ya, “Lee, e mela ka ahụ dị gị mma, emehiekwala ọzọ ka nke dị njọ karịa nke a hapụ ịbịakwasị gị.”
15 The man went away, and told the Jews that it is Jesus who made him whole,
Nwoke a siri nʼebe ahụ pụọ gaa gwa ndị Juu na ọ bụ Jisọs gwọrọ ya.
16 and because of this were the Jews persecuting Jesus, and seeking to kill Him, because these things He was doing on a Sabbath.
17 And Jesus answered them, “My Father works until now, and I work”;
Jisọs sịrị ha, “Nna m na-arụ ọrụ mgbe niile ruo ugbu a, mụ onwe m kwa, ana m arụ ọrụ.”
18 because of this, then, were the Jews seeking the more to kill Him, because not only was He breaking the Sabbath, but He also called God His own Father, making Himself equal to God.
Nʼihi nke a, ndị Juu chọsịrị ike igbu ya.
19 Jesus therefore responded and said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son is not able to do anything of Himself, if He may not see the Father doing anything; for whatever things He may do, these also the Son does in like manner;
Jisọs zara ha sị, “Nʼezie, nʼezie agwa m unu, o nweghị ihe ọbụla Ọkpara pụrụ ime nʼonwe ya; naanị ihe o nwere ike ime bụ ihe ọ hụrụ Nna ya na-eme, nʼihi na ihe ọbụla Nna ahụ na-eme ka Ọkpara ya na-emekwa.
20 for the Father cherishes the Son, and shows to Him all things that He Himself does; and greater works than these He will show Him, that you may wonder.
21 For as the Father raises the dead, and makes alive, so also the Son makes alive whom He wills;
22 for neither does the Father judge anyone, but all the judgment He has given to the Son,
Nna anaghị ekpe onye ọbụla ikpe, kama o nyefere ikpe niile nʼaka Ọkpara.
23 that all may honor the Son according as they honor the Father; he who is not honoring the Son, does not honor the Father who sent Him.
Ka mmadụ niile nye Ọkpara ahụ nsọpụrụ dị ka ha na-asọpụrụ Nna ahụ. Onye ọbụla nke na-adịghị asọpụrụ Ọkpara ahụ adịghị asọpụrụ Nna nke zitere ya.
24 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who is hearing My word, and is believing Him who sent Me, has continuous life, and he does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. (aiōnios )
“Nʼezie, nʼezie agwa m unu, onye ọbụla na-anụ okwu m ma kwerekwa nʼonye zitere m nwere ndụ ebighị ebi, a gaghị amakwa ya ikpe, ọ gafeela site nʼọnwụ banye na ndụ. (aiōnios )
25 Truly, truly, I say to you, [that] there comes an hour, and it now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those having heard will live;
Nʼezie, nʼezie agwa m unu, oge na-abịa, ọ bịakwala ugbu a mgbe ndị nwụrụ anwụ ga-anụ olu Ọkpara Chineke, ndị ahụ nụrụ ya ga-adịkwa ndụ.
26 for as the Father has life in Himself, so He gave also to the Son to have life in Himself,
Dị ka Nna ahụ nwere ndụ nʼime onwe ya, otu a ka o nyekwara Ọkpara ahụ ike inwe ndụ nʼime onwe ya.
27 and authority He gave Him also to do judgment, because He is Son of Man.
O nyekwala ya ikike ikpe ikpe nʼihi na ọ bụ Nwa nke Mmadụ.
28 Do not wonder at this, because there comes an hour in which all those in the tombs will hear His voice,
“Ka nke a hapụ iju unu anya, nʼihi na oge na-abịa, mgbe ndị niile nọ nʼili ha ga-anụ olu ya
29 and they will come forth; those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced evil things to a resurrection of judgment.
ma pụta, ndị mere ihe dị mma ga-ebili dịrị ndụ. Ma ndị mere ihe ọjọọ ga-ebili bụrụ ndị a ga-ama ikpe.
30 I am not able of Myself to do anything; according as I hear I judge, and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of the Father who sent Me.
Enweghị m ike ime ihe ọbụla nʼonwe m, ikpe m na-ekpe bụ naanị dị ka m nụrụ, ikpe m bụkwa nke ziri ezi, nʼihi na anaghị m eme ihe ga-amasị m, kama ọ bụ ihe ga-amasị onye ahụ zitere m.
31 If I testify concerning Myself, My testimony is not true;
“Ọ bụrụ na m na-agba ama banyere onwe m, ama m abụghị eziokwu.
32 there is another who is testifying concerning Me, and I have known that the testimony that He testifies concerning Me is true;
33 you have sent to John, and he has testified to the truth.
“Unu zigaara Jọn ndị ozi, ọ gbakwaala ama maka eziokwu ahụ.
34 But I do not receive testimony from man, but these things I say that you may be saved;
35 he was the burning and shining lamp, and you willed to be glad, for an hour, in his light.
Ọ bụ oriọna nke na-enwu na-amụkekwa, unu họrọkwara ịṅụrị ọṅụ nʼìhè ya nʼoge nta.
36 But I have the testimony greater than John’s, for the works that the Father gave Me, that I might finish them, the works themselves that I do, they testify concerning Me, that the Father has sent Me.
“Ma e nwere m ama dị ukwuu karịa nke Jọn, nʼihi na ọrụ ahụ ya bụ Nna nyere m ka m rụchapụ, bụkwa nke m na-arụ, na-agbara m ama na ọ bụ Nna ahụ zitere m.
37 And the Father who sent Me has testified Himself concerning Me; you have neither heard His voice at any time, nor have you seen His appearance;
38 and you do not have His word remaining in you, because you do not believe Him whom He sent.
Okwu ya anọkwaghị nʼime unu nʼihi na unu ekweghị nʼonye o zitere.
39 You search the Writings, because you think in them to have continuous life, and these are they that are testifying concerning Me; (aiōnios )
Unu na-enyocha akwụkwọ nsọ nʼihi na unu chere na unu ga-esite na ha nwee ndụ ebighị ebi maọbụ ha na-agba ama banyere m. (aiōnios )
40 and you do not will to come to Me, that you may have life;
Ma unu jụrụ ịbịakwute m ka unu nwee ndụ.
41 I do not receive glory from man,
“Anaghị m anabata otuto nke ụmụ mmadụ.
42 but I have known you, that you do not have the love of God in yourselves.
43 I have come in the Name of My Father, and you do not receive Me; if another may come in his own name, him you will receive;
44 how are you able—you—to believe, receiving glory from one another, and the glory that [is] from God alone you do not seek?
Olee otu unu ga-esi kwere ebe unu na-anara otuto site nʼaka ibe unu, ma unu adịghị achọ otuto nke si nʼaka onye naanị ya bụ Chineke?
45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father; there is [one] who is accusing you, Moses—in whom you have hoped;
“Unu echela na m ga-ebo unu ebubo nʼihu Nna ahụ. Onye ga-ebo unu ebubo bụ Mosis, bụ onye unu tụkwasịrị obi na ya.
46 for if you were believing Moses, you would have been believing Me, for he wrote concerning Me;
Ọ bụrụ na unu kwenyeere Mosis, unu gakwara ekwere na m, nʼihi na o dere banyere m.
47 but if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My sayings?”
Ma ebe unu na-ekweghị nʼihe o dere, olee otu unu ga-esi kwere nʼihe m kwuru?”
