John 15
1 “I AM the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser;
我は眞の葡萄の樹、わが父は農夫なり。
2 every branch not bearing fruit in Me, He takes it away, and everyone bearing fruit, He cleanses by pruning it, that it may bear more fruit;
おほよそ我にありて果を結ばぬ枝は、父これを除き、果を結ぶものは、いよいよ果を結ばせん爲に之を潔めたまふ。
3 you are already clean, because of the word that I have spoken to you;
汝らは既に潔し、わが語りたる言に因りてなり。
4 remain in Me, and I in you, as the branch is not able to bear fruit of itself, if it may not remain in the vine, so neither you, if you may not remain in Me.
我に居れ、さらば我なんぢらに居らん。枝もし樹に居らずば、自ら果を結ぶこと能はぬごとく、汝らも我に居らずば亦 然り。
5 I AM the vine, you the branches; he who is remaining in Me, and I in him, this one bears much fruit, because apart from Me you are not able to do anything;
我は葡萄の樹、なんぢらは枝なり。人もし我にをり、我また彼にをらば、多くの果を結ぶべし。汝ら我を離るれば、何事をも爲し能はず。
6 if anyone may not remain in Me, he was cast forth outside as the branch, and was withered, and they gather them, and cast into fire, and they are burned;
人もし我に居らずば、枝のごとく外に棄てられて枯る、人々これを集め火に投げ入れて燒くなり。
7 if you may remain in Me, and My sayings may remain in you, whatever you may wish you will ask, and it will be done to you.
汝 等もし我に居り、わが言なんぢらに居らば、何にても望に隨ひて求めよ、さらば成らん。
8 In this was My Father glorified, that you may bear much fruit, and you will become My disciples.
なんぢら多くの果を結ばば、わが父は榮光を受け給ふべし、而して汝 等わが弟子とならん。
9 According as the Father loved Me, I also loved you, remain in My love;
父の我を愛し給ひしごとく、我も汝らを愛したり、わが愛に居れ。
10 if you may keep My commands, you will remain in My love, according as I have kept the commands of My Father, and remain in His love;
なんぢら若しわが誡命をまもらば、我が愛にをらん、我わが父の誡命を守りて、その愛に居るがごとし。
11 these things I have spoken to you, that My joy in you may remain, and your joy may be full.
我これらの事を語りたるは、我が喜悦の汝らに在り、かつ汝らの喜悦の滿されん爲なり。
12 This is My command, that you love one another, according as I loved you;
わが誡命は是なり、わが汝らを愛せしごとく互に相 愛せよ。
13 greater love has no one than this, that anyone may lay down his life for his friends;
人その友のために己の生命を棄つる、之より大なる愛はなし。
14 you are My friends if you may do whatever I command you;
汝 等もし我が命ずる事をおこなはば、我が友なり。
15 I no longer call you servants, because the servant has not known what his lord does, and I have called you friends, because all things that I heard from My Father, I made known to you.
今よりのち我なんぢらを僕といはず、僕は主人のなす事を知らざるなり。我なんぢらを友と呼べり、我が父に聽きし凡てのことを汝らに知らせたればなり。
16 You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you might go away, and might bear fruit, and your fruit might remain, that whatever you may ask of the Father in My Name, He may give you.
汝ら我を選びしにあらず、我なんぢらを選べり。而して汝らの往きて果を結び、且その果の殘らんために、又おほよそ我が名によりて父に求むるものを、父の賜はんために汝らを立てたり。
17 These things I command you, that you love one another;
これらの事を命ずるは、汝らの互に相 愛せん爲なり。
18 if the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before you;
世もし汝らを憎まば、汝 等より先に我を憎みたることを知れ。
19 if you were of the world, the world would have been cherishing its own, but because you are not of the world, but I chose [you] out of the world—because of this the world hates you.
汝 等もし世のものならば、世は己がものを愛するならん。汝らは世のものならず、我なんぢらを世より選びたり。この故に世は汝らを憎む。
20 Remember the word that I said to you: A servant is not greater than his lord; if they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will also keep yours;
わが汝らに「僕はその主人より大ならず」と告げし言をおぼえよ。人もし我を責めしならば、汝 等をも責め、わが言を守りしならば、汝らの言をも守らん。
21 but all these things will they do to you, because of My Name, because they have not known Him who sent Me;
すべて此 等のことを我が名の故に汝らに爲さん、それは我を遣し給ひし者を知らぬに因る。
22 if I had not come and spoken to them, they were not having sin; but now they have no pretext for their sin.
われ來りて語らざりしならば、彼ら罪なかりしならん。されど今はその罪いひのがるべき樣なし。
23 He who is hating Me, hates My Father also;
我を憎むものは我が父をも憎むなり。
24 if I did not do among them the works that no other has done, they were not having sin, and now they have both seen and hated both Me and My Father;
我もし誰もいまだ行はぬ事を彼らの中に行はざりしならば、彼ら罪なかりしならん。されど今ははや我をも我が父をも見たり、また憎みたり。
25 but—that the word may be fulfilled that was written in their law—They hated Me without a cause.
これは彼らの律法に「ひとびと故なくして我を憎めり」と録したる言の成就せん爲なり。
26 And when the Comforter may come, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth, who comes forth from the Father, He will testify of Me;
父の許より我が遣さんとする助主、すなはち父より出づる眞理の御靈のきたらんとき、我につきて證せん。
27 and you also testify, because you are with Me from the beginning.”
汝 等もまた初より我とともに在りたれば證するなり。
