John 14
1 “Do not let your heart be troubled, believe in God, believe also in Me;
Não se turbe o vosso coração: crêdes em Deus, crêde tambem em mim.
2 in the house of My Father are many rooms; and if not, I would have told you; I go on to prepare a place for you;
Na casa de meu Pae ha muitas moradas; senão, eu vol-o teria dito; vou preparar-vos logar.
3 and if I go on and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you to Myself, that where I am you also may be;
E, se eu fôr, e vos preparar logar, virei outra vez, e vos levarei para mim mesmo, para que onde eu estiver estejaes vós tambem.
4 and to where I go away you have known, and the way you have known.”
E já sabeis para onde vou, e sabeis o caminho.
5 Thomas says to Him, “Lord, we have not known to where You go away, and how are we able to know the way?”
Disse-lhe Thomé: Senhor, nós não sabemos para onde vaes; e como podemos saber o caminho?
6 Jesus says to him, “I AM the way, and the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, if not through Me;
Disse-lhe Jesus: Eu sou o caminho, e a verdade e a vida. Ninguem vem ao Pae, senão por mim.
7 if you had known Me, you would also have known My Father, and from this time you have known Him, and have seen Him.”
Se vós me conhecesseis a mim, tambem conhecerieis a meu Pae; e já desde agora o conheceis, e o tendes visto.
8 Philip says to Him, “Lord, show to us the Father, and it is enough for us”;
Disse-lhe Philippe: Senhor, mostra-nos o Pae, e isso nos basta.
9 Jesus says to him, “Such [a] long time am I with you, and you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; and how do you say, Show to us the Father?
Disse-lhe Jesus: Estou ha tanto tempo comvosco, e não me tendes conhecido, Philippe? quem me vê a mim vê o Pae: e como dizes tu: Mostra-nos o Pae?
10 Do you not believe that I [am] in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The sayings that I speak to you, I do not speak from Myself, and the Father who is abiding in Me does the works Himself;
Não crês tu que eu estou no Pae, e que o Pae está em mim? As palavras que eu vos digo não as digo de mim mesmo, mas o Pae, que está em mim, é quem faz as obras
11 believe Me, that I [am] in the Father, and the Father in Me; and if not, because of the works themselves, believe Me.
Crêde-me que estou no Pae, e que o Pae está em mim: crêde-me, ao menos, por causa das mesmas obras.
12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who is believing in Me, the works that I do—that one will also do, and greater than these he will do, because I go on to My Father;
Na verdade, na verdade vos digo que aquelle que crê em mim tambem fará as obras que eu faço, e as fará maiores do que estas; porque eu vou para meu Pae
13 and whatever you may ask in My Name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son;
E tudo quanto pedirdes em meu nome eu o farei, para que o Pae seja glorificado no Filho.
14 if you ask anything in My Name I will do [it].
Se pedirdes alguma coisa em meu nome, eu o farei.
15 If you love Me, keep My commands,
Se me amaes, guardae os meus mandamentos.
16 and I will ask the Father, and He will give to you another Comforter, that He may remain with you throughout the age: (aiōn g165)
E eu rogarei ao Pae, e elle vos dará outro Consolador, para que fique comvosco para sempre: (aiōn g165)
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world is not able to receive, because it does not see nor know [this] One, and you know [this] One, because [this] One remains with you, and will be in you.
O Espirito de verdade, que o mundo não pode receber, porque não o vê nem o conhece: mas vós o conheceis, porque habita comvosco, e estará em vós.
18 I will not leave you bereaved, I come to you;
Não vos deixarei orphãos; voltarei para vós.
19 yet a little [while] and the world beholds Me no more, and you behold Me, because I live, and you will live;
Ainda um pouco, e o mundo não me verá mais, porém vós me vereis; porque eu vivo, e vós vivereis.
20 in that day you will know that I [am] in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you;
N'aquelle dia conhecereis que estou em meu Pae, e vós em mim, e eu em vós.
21 he who is having My commands, and is keeping them, that one it is who is loving Me, and he who is loving Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him.”
Aquelle que tem os meus mandamentos e os guarda esse é o que me ama; e aquelle que me ama será amado de meu Pae, e eu o amarei, e me manifestarei a elle.
22 Judas says to Him (not the Iscariot), “Lord, what has come to pass, that You are about to manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”
Disse-lhe Judas (não o Iscariotes): Senhor, d'onde vem que te has de manifestar a nós, e não ao mundo?
23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone may love Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and We will make [an] abode with him;
Jesus respondeu, e disse-lhe: Se alguem me ama, guardará a minha palavra, e meu Pae o amará, e viremos para elle, e faremos n'elle morada.
24 he who is not loving Me does not keep My words; and the word that you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.
Quem me não ama não guarda as minhas palavras; e a palavra que ouvistes não é minha, mas do Pae que me enviou.
25 These things I have spoken to you, remaining with you,
Tenho-vos dito estas coisas, estando ainda comvosco.
26 and the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all things that I said to you.
Mas aquelle Consolador, o Espirito Sancto, que o Pae enviará em meu nome, esse vos ensinará todas as coisas, e vos fará lembrar de tudo quanto vos tenho dito.
27 Peace I leave to you; My peace I give to you. Not according as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.
Deixo-vos a paz, a minha paz vos dou: não vol-a dou como o mundo a dá. Não se turbe o vosso coração, nem se atemorize.
28 You heard that I said to you, I go away, and I come to you. If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced that I said, I go on to the Father, because My Father is greater than I.
Ouvistes que eu vos disse: Vou, e venho para vós. Se me amasseis, certamente exultarieis por ter dito: Vou para o Pae; porque meu Pae é maior do que eu.
29 And now I have said [it] to you before it comes to pass, that when it may come to pass, you may believe.
Eu vol-o disse agora antes que aconteça, para que, quando acontecer, vós acrediteis.
30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world comes, and he has nothing in Me;
Já não fallarei muito comvosco; porque já se approxima o principe d'este mundo, e nada tem em mim.
31 but that the world may know that I love the Father, and according as the Father gave Me command, so I do; arise, we may go from here.”
Mas para que o mundo saiba que eu amo o Pae, e que faço como o Pae me mandou, levantae-vos, vamo-nos d'aqui.
