John 14
1 “Do not let your heart be troubled, believe in God, believe also in Me;
Nermutiž se srdce vaše. Věříte v Boha, i ve mne věřte.
2 in the house of My Father are many rooms; and if not, I would have told you; I go on to prepare a place for you;
V domě Otce mého příbytkové mnozí jsou. Byť nebylo tak, pověděl bych vám.
3 and if I go on and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you to Myself, that where I am you also may be;
Jduť, abych vám připravil místo. A když odejdu, a připravím vám místo, zase přijdu, a poberu vás k sobě samému, abyste, kde jsem já, i vy byli.
4 and to where I go away you have known, and the way you have known.”
A kam já jdu, víte, i cestu víte.
5 Thomas says to Him, “Lord, we have not known to where You go away, and how are we able to know the way?”
Dí jemu Tomáš: Pane, nevíme, kam jdeš. A kterak můžeme cestu věděti?
6 Jesus says to him, “I AM the way, and the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, if not through Me;
Dí jemu Ježíš: Já jsem ta cesta, i pravda, i život. Žádný nepřichází k Otci než skrze mne.
7 if you had known Me, you would also have known My Father, and from this time you have known Him, and have seen Him.”
Byste znali mne, také i Otce mého znali byste; a již nyní jej znáte, a viděli jste ho.
8 Philip says to Him, “Lord, show to us the Father, and it is enough for us”;
Řekl jemu Filip: Pane, ukaž nám Otce, a dostiť jest nám.
9 Jesus says to him, “Such [a] long time am I with you, and you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; and how do you say, Show to us the Father?
Dí jemu Ježíš: Tak dlouhý čas s vámi jsem, a nepoznal jsi mne? Filipe, kdož vidí mne, vidí Otce, a kterakž ty pravíš: Ukaž nám Otce?
10 Do you not believe that I [am] in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The sayings that I speak to you, I do not speak from Myself, and the Father who is abiding in Me does the works Himself;
Nevěříš, že já v Otci a Otec ve mně jest? Slova, kteráž já mluvím vám, sám od sebe nemluvím, ale Otec ve mně přebývaje, onť činí skutky.
11 believe Me, that I [am] in the Father, and the Father in Me; and if not, because of the works themselves, believe Me.
Věřtež mi, že jsem já v Otci a Otec ve mně; aneb aspoň pro ty samy skutky věřte mi.
12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who is believing in Me, the works that I do—that one will also do, and greater than these he will do, because I go on to My Father;
Amen, amen pravím vám: Kdož věří ve mne, skutky, kteréž já činím, i on činiti bude, a větší nad ty činiti bude; nebo já jdu k Otci svému.
13 and whatever you may ask in My Name, I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son;
A jestliže byste co prosili ve jménu mém, toť učiním, aby oslaven byl Otec v Synu.
14 if you ask anything in My Name I will do [it].
Budete-li zač prositi ve jménu mém, jáť učiním.
15 If you love Me, keep My commands,
Milujete-li mne, přikázaní mých ostříhejte.
16 and I will ask the Father, and He will give to you another Comforter, that He may remain with you throughout the age: (aiōn g165)
A jáť prositi budu Otce, a jiného Utěšitele dá vám, aby s vámi zůstal na věky, (aiōn g165)
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world is not able to receive, because it does not see nor know [this] One, and you know [this] One, because [this] One remains with you, and will be in you.
Toho Ducha pravdy, jehož svět nemůže přijíti. Nebo nevidí ho, aniž ho zná, ale vy znáte jej, neboť u vás přebývá, a v vás bude.
18 I will not leave you bereaved, I come to you;
Neopustímť vás sirotků, přijduť k vám.
19 yet a little [while] and the world beholds Me no more, and you behold Me, because I live, and you will live;
Ještě maličko, a svět mne více neuzří, ale vy uzříte mne; nebo já živ jsem, i vy živi budete.
20 in that day you will know that I [am] in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you;
V ten den vy poznáte, že já jsem v Otci svém, a vy ve mně, a já v vás.
21 he who is having My commands, and is keeping them, that one it is who is loving Me, and he who is loving Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will manifest Myself to him.”
Kdož by měl přikázaní má, a ostříhal jich, onť jest ten, kterýž mne miluje. A kdož mne miluje, milován bude od Otce mého, a jáť jej budu milovati, a zjevím jemu samého sebe.
22 Judas says to Him (not the Iscariot), “Lord, what has come to pass, that You are about to manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”
Řekl jemu Judas, ne onen Iškariotský: Pane, jakž jest to, že sebe nám zjeviti chceš, a ne světu?
23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone may love Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and We will make [an] abode with him;
Odpověděl Ježíš a řekl jemu: Miluje-li mne kdo, slova mého ostříhati bude, a Otec můj bude jej milovati, a k němu přijdeme, a příbytek u něho učiníme.
24 he who is not loving Me does not keep My words; and the word that you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.
Kdožť nemiluje mne, slov mých neostříhá; a slovo, kteréž slyšíte, neníť mé, ale toho, kterýž mne poslal, Otcovo.
25 These things I have spoken to you, remaining with you,
Toto mluvil jsem vám, u vás přebývaje.
26 and the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all things that I said to you.
Utěšitel pak, ten Duch svatý, kteréhož pošle Otec ve jménu mém, onť vás naučí všemu, a připomeneť vám všecko, což jsem koli mluvil vám.
27 Peace I leave to you; My peace I give to you. Not according as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.
Pokoj zůstavuji vám, pokoj svůj dávám vám; ne jako svět dává, já dávám vám. Nermutiž se srdce vaše, ani strachuj.
28 You heard that I said to you, I go away, and I come to you. If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced that I said, I go on to the Father, because My Father is greater than I.
Slyšeli jste, že já řekl jsem vám: Jdu, a zase přijdu k vám. Kdybyste mne milovali, radovali byste se jistě, že jsem řekl: Jdu k Otci; nebo Otec větší jest nežli já.
29 And now I have said [it] to you before it comes to pass, that when it may come to pass, you may believe.
A nyní pověděl jsem vám, prvé než by se stalo, abyste, když se stane, uvěřili.
30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world comes, and he has nothing in Me;
Již nemnoho mluviti budu s vámi; neboť jde kníže tohoto světa, ale nemáť nic na mně.
31 but that the world may know that I love the Father, and according as the Father gave Me command, so I do; arise, we may go from here.”
Ale aby poznal svět, že miluji Otce, a jakož mi přikázal Otec, tak činím. Vstaňte, poďme odtud.
