< John 13 >

1 And before the Celebration of the Passover, Jesus knowing that His hour has come, that He may depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who [are] in the world—to the end He loved them.
Mutambo wePasika wakanga uchigere kusvika. Jesu akanga achiziva kuti nguva yakanga yasvika yokuti iye abve panyika uye kuti aende kuna Baba. Sezvo akanga achida vake avo vakanga vari munyika, akavaratidza zvino kuzara kworudo rwake.
2 And dinner having come, the Devil already having put [it] into the heart of Judas of Simon, Iscariot, that he may deliver Him up,
Kudya kwamadekwana kwakanga kwava kugoverwa, uye dhiabhori akanga aisa mumwoyo maJudhasi Iskarioti, mwanakomana waSimoni, pfungwa yokuti apandukire Jesu.
3 Jesus knowing that all things the Father has given to Him—into [His] hands, and that He came forth from God, and He goes to God,
Jesu akanga achiziva kuti Baba vakanga vaisa zvinhu zvose pasi pesimba rake, uye kuti akanga abva kuna Mwari uye kuti aidzokerazve kuna Mwari,
4 rises from the dinner, and lays down His garments, and having taken a towel, He girded Himself;
saka akasimuka pakudya, akabvisa nguo yake yokunze, uye akamonera tauro muchiuno chake.
5 afterward He puts water into the basin, and began to wash the feet of His disciples, and to wipe with the towel with which He was being girded.
Shure kwaizvozvo, akadira mvura mudhishi akatanga kushambidza tsoka dzavadzidzi vake, achidziomesa netauro rakanga rakamonerwa muchiuno chake.
6 He comes, therefore, to Simon Peter, and that one says to Him, “Lord, You—do You wash my feet?”
Akasvika pana Simoni Petro, iye akati kwaari, “Ishe muri kuda kushambidza tsoka dzangu here?”
7 Jesus answered and said to him, “That which I do you have not known now, but you will know after these things”;
Jesu akapindura achiti, “Iwe hausi kuziva zvandiri kuita iye zvino, asi uchazvinzwisisa pashure.”
8 Peter says to Him, “You may not wash my feet—throughout the age.” Jesus answered him, “If I may not wash you, you have no part with Me”; (aiōn g165)
Simoni Petro akati, “Kwete, imi hamungatongoshambidzi tsoka dzangu.” Jesu akapindura akati, “Kana ndikasakushambidza, hauna mugove neni.” (aiōn g165)
9 Simon Peter says to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also the hands and the head.”
Ipapo Simoni Petro akati, “Ishe, ngadzirege kuva tsoka dzangu bedzi asi maoko angu nomusoro wanguwo!”
10 Jesus says to him, “He who has been bathed has no need except to wash his feet, but he is clean altogether; and you are clean, but not all”;
Jesu akapindura akati, “Munhu anenge amboshamba muviri wose, anongoda bedzi kushamba tsoka dzake, muviri wake wose wakachena. Imi makachena, kunyange zvazvo musiri mose vakachena.”
11 for He knew him who is delivering Him up; because of this He said, “You are not all clean.”
Nokuti aiziva kuti ndiani aizomupandukira, ndokusaka akati, havasi vose vakanga vakachena.
12 When, therefore, He washed their feet, and took His garments, having reclined again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you?
Akati apedza kushambidza tsoka dzavo, akapfeka nguo dzake akadzokera panzvimbo yake. Akavabvunza akati, “Munonzwisisa here zvandaita kwamuri?
13 You call Me the Teacher and the LORD, and you say well, for I am;
Munondidaidza kuti ‘Mudzidzisi’ uye ndizvozvo chaizvo, nokuti ndizvo zvandiri.
14 if then I washed your feet—the LORD and the Teacher—you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
Zvino kana ini, Ishe wenyu noMudzidzisi wenyu, ndashambidza tsoka dzenyu, nemiwo munofanira kushambidzana tsoka dzenyu.
15 For I gave to you an example, that, according as I did to you, you also may do;
Ndakupai muenzaniso kuti muite sezvandakuitirai imi.
16 truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his lord, nor an apostle greater than he who sent him;
Ndinokuudzai chokwadi kuti, muranda haasi mukuru kuna tenzi wake, uye atumwa haasi mukuru kupfuura amutuma.
17 if you have known these things, you are blessed if you may do them;
Zvino zvamava kuziva zvinhu izvi, mucharopafadzwa kana mukazviita.
18 I do not speak concerning you all; I have known whom I chose for Myself; but that the Writing may be fulfilled: He who is eating the bread with Me, lifted up his heel against Me.
“Handirevi izvi kwamuri mose; ini ndinoziva avo vandakasarudza. Asi uku ndiko kuzadzisa Rugwaro runoti, ‘Uyo anogovana neni chingwa andisimudzira chitsitsinho chake kuti azorwa neni.’
19 From this time I tell you, before its coming to pass, that, when it may come to pass, you may believe that I AM;
“Ndiri kukuudzai iye zvino zvisati zvaitika, kuitira kuti pazvinoitika mugozotenda kuti ndini Iye.
20 truly, truly, I say to you, he who is receiving whomsoever I may send, receives Me; and he who is receiving Me, receives Him who sent Me.”
Ndinokuudzai chokwadi kuti, ani naani anogamuchira ini anogamuchira iye akandituma.”
21 Having said these things, Jesus was troubled in the spirit, and testified and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you that one of you will deliver Me up”;
Shure kwokutaura izvozvo, Jesu akatambudzika mumweya uye akapupura achiti, “Ndinokuudzai chokwadi, mumwe wenyu achandipandukira.”
22 the disciples were looking, therefore, at one another, doubting concerning of whom He speaks.
Vadzidzi vake vakatarisana vachida kuziva kuti ndiani airehwa pakati pavo.
23 And there was one of His disciples reclining in the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus was loving;
Mumwe wavo, mudzidzi aidikanwa naJesu, akanga akasendamira paari.
24 Simon Peter, then, beckons to this one, to inquire who he may be concerning whom He speaks,
Simoni Petro akaninira kumudzidzi uyu akati, “Vabvunzei kuti vanoreva ani.”
25 and that one having leaned back on the breast of Jesus, responds to Him, “Lord, who is it?”
Akasendamirazve pana Jesu, akamubvunza akati, “Ishe, ndianiko?”
26 Jesus answers, “It is that one to whom I, having dipped the morsel, will give it”; and having dipped the morsel, He gives [it] to Judas of Simon, Iscariot.
Jesu akati, “Ndiye wandichapa chimedu chechingwa kana ndachiseva mundiro.” Ipapo, akaseva chimedu chechingwa, akachipa kuna Judhasi Iskarioti, mwanakomana waSimoni.
27 And after the morsel, then Satan entered into that one. Jesus, therefore, says to him, “What you do—do quickly”;
Judhasi achangodya chingwa ichi, Satani akabva apinda maari. Jesu akati kuna Judhasi, “Zvaunoda kuita, ita nokukurumidza,”
28 and none of those reclining to eat knew for what intent He said this to him,
asi hapana munhu akanga ari pakudya akanzwisisa kuti sei Jesu akanga ataura izvozvo kwaari.
29 for certain [of them] were thinking, since Judas had the bag, that Jesus says to him, “Buy what we have need of for the celebration”; or that he may give something to the poor;
Sezvo Judhasi aiva mubati wemari, vamwe vakafunga kuti Jesu aimuudza kuti andotenga zvimwe zvaidikanwa pamutambo, kana kupa varombo chimwe chinhu.
30 having received, therefore, the morsel, that one immediately went forth, and it was night.
Judhasi akati achangodya chingwa, akabuda panze. Uye hwaiva usiku.
31 When, therefore, he went forth, Jesus says, “Now was the Son of Man glorified, and God was glorified in Him;
Akati aenda, Jesu akati, “Zvino Mwanakomana woMunhu akudzwa uye Mwari akudzwa maari.
32 if God was glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself; indeed, He will immediately glorify Him.
Kana Mwari akudzwa maari, Mwari achakudza Mwanakomana maari uye achamukudza pakarepo.
33 Little children, yet a little [while] am I with you; you will seek Me, and according as I said to the Jews, I also say to you now: To where I go away, you are not able to come.
“Vana vangu, ndichava nemi kwechinguva chiduku chete. Muchanditsvaka, uye sezvandaudza vaJudha, saizvozvo ndinokuudzai zvino kuti: Kwandinoenda, imi hamugoni kuuyako.
34 A new command I give to you, that you love one another; according as I loved you, that you also love one another;
“Ndinokupai murayiro mutsva wokuti: Dananai. Sezvo ndakakudai, saizvozvo munofanira kudanana.
35 in this will all know that you are My disciples, if you may have love one to another.”
Nokuda kwaizvozvo, vanhu vose vachaziva kuti muri vadzidzi vangu kana mune rudo pakati penyu.”
36 Simon Peter says to Him, “Lord, to where do You go away?” Jesus answered him, “To where I go away, you are not able now to follow Me, but afterward you will follow Me.”
Simoni Petro akamubvunza akati, “Ishe, muri kuendepiko?” Jesu akapindura akati, “Kwandinoenda, imi hamugoni kutevera, asi muchazotevera pashure.”
37 Peter says to Him, “Lord, why am I not able to follow You now? I will lay down my life for You”;
Petro akati, “Ishe seiko ndisingakwanisi kukuteverai iye zvino? Ndichakufirai ini.”
38 Jesus answered him, “You will lay down your life for Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, a rooster will not crow until you may deny Me three times.”
Ipapo Jesu akapindura akati, “Uchandifira here? Ndinokuudza chokwadi kuti, jongwe risati rarira, uchandiramba katatu!”
