< John 13 >

1 And before the Celebration of the Passover, Jesus knowing that His hour has come, that He may depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who [are] in the world—to the end He loved them.
2 And dinner having come, the Devil already having put [it] into the heart of Judas of Simon, Iscariot, that he may deliver Him up,
3 Jesus knowing that all things the Father has given to Him—into [His] hands, and that He came forth from God, and He goes to God,
4 rises from the dinner, and lays down His garments, and having taken a towel, He girded Himself;
5 afterward He puts water into the basin, and began to wash the feet of His disciples, and to wipe with the towel with which He was being girded.
6 He comes, therefore, to Simon Peter, and that one says to Him, “Lord, You—do You wash my feet?”
7 Jesus answered and said to him, “That which I do you have not known now, but you will know after these things”;
8 Peter says to Him, “You may not wash my feet—throughout the age.” Jesus answered him, “If I may not wash you, you have no part with Me”; (aiōn g165)
Petro kammakiya, “Uweza kwaa kuniosha magolo gango kamwe,” Yesu kannyangwa, “Mana itei nalowa kukuosha kwaa, kana ubile ni mahali pamope na nee.” (aiōn g165)
9 Simon Peter says to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also the hands and the head.”
Simoni Petro kammakiya, “Ngwana, kana unioshe magolo gango kichake, ila pia maboko ni ntwe wango.”
10 Jesus says to him, “He who has been bathed has no need except to wash his feet, but he is clean altogether; and you are clean, but not all”;
Yesu kaabakiya, “Yeyote ywabile ayomwi kuoga aitaji kuoga kae ila magolo gake, ni ywabile safi yega yake yoti, mwenga mwabile safi, lakini mwenga kwaa.”
11 for He knew him who is delivering Him up; because of this He said, “You are not all clean.”
Kwa mana Yesu atangite ywa apala kumsaliti; yee nga sababu abayite, mwote kwaa mwabile safi.”
12 When, therefore, He washed their feet, and took His garments, having reclined again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you?
Wakati Yesu abile atikuwabonikiya magolo gabe ni paaikite tola ngobo yake ni tama kae, atikwabakia, “Je Mutangite chelo chabile niapangia mwenga?
13 You call Me the Teacher and the LORD, and you say well, for I am;
Mwanikema nenga, “Mwalimu” ni Ngwana yee mwabaya kweli, maana nibile nyoo.
14 if then I washed your feet—the LORD and the Teacher—you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
Mana itei nenga Ngwana na Mwalimu, natiwaosha magolo yinu, mwenga pia iapalikwa kuwaosha wenge magolo yinu, mwenga pia iapalikwa kuaosha benge magolo.
15 For I gave to you an example, that, according as I did to you, you also may do;
16 truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his lord, nor an apostle greater than he who sent him;
Amini, amini, naabakiya, mmanda nga nkolo kwaa kuliko ngwana wake; wala yolo ywabile atumilwe ni nkolo kuliko yolo abile mmanda.
17 if you have known these things, you are blessed if you may do them;
Mana itei uyayowine makowe aga, ubarikilwe kugapanga.
18 I do not speak concerning you all; I have known whom I chose for Myself; but that the Writing may be fulfilled: He who is eating the bread with Me, lifted up his heel against Me.
Nabaya kwaa kuhusu mwenga mwa bote, kwa kuwa naatanga balo ambao niachawile-ila nabaya aga ili kuwa maandiko gaweze kutimia:'Ywembe ywa lyaa mkate wango atikuniinua isigino sake.'
19 From this time I tell you, before its coming to pass, that, when it may come to pass, you may believe that I AM;
Niabakiye lee nambeambe kabla ipangite nyoo ili kwamba mana lipangike, muweze kuaminiya kuwa nenga nga YWEMBE.
20 truly, truly, I say to you, he who is receiving whomsoever I may send, receives Me; and he who is receiving Me, receives Him who sent Me.”
Amini, amini, naabakiya, ywanipokyange nenga upokya ywabile nimtumile, ni yolo anipokyange nenga umpokya yolo ywanitumile nenga.”
21 Having said these things, Jesus was troubled in the spirit, and testified and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you that one of you will deliver Me up”;
Palyo Yesu abayite aga, atisumbuka muno mu'nafsi gake, atishuhudia no baya, “Amini, amini, niabakiya kuwa yumo winu alowa kunisaliti.”
22 the disciples were looking, therefore, at one another, doubting concerning of whom He speaks.
23 And there was one of His disciples reclining in the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus was loving;
Pabile mu'meza, yumo wa anapunzi bake yatiegama pakifua sa'Yesu yolo ywampendile Yesu.
24 Simon Peter, then, beckons to this one, to inquire who he may be concerning whom He speaks,
Simoni Petro annobiye mwanapunzi yoo no baya, “Tubakie ni yupi ywabile kwake ywamlongela.”
25 and that one having leaned back on the breast of Jesus, responds to Him, “Lord, who is it?”
26 Jesus answers, “It is that one to whom I, having dipped the morsel, will give it”; and having dipped the morsel, He gives [it] to Judas of Simon, Iscariot.
Boka po Yesu kanyangwa, “Ni kwake yolo nipalae chovya ipande ya mikate ni kumpeya.” Nga nyoo paabile chovya mkate, atikumpeya Yuda mwana wa Simoni Iskariote.
27 And after the morsel, then Satan entered into that one. Jesus, therefore, says to him, “What you do—do quickly”;
Na baada ya mkate, nchela atikun'jingya. Boka po Yesu kammakiya, “chelo chabile ukipala kukipanga ukipange upesi.”
28 and none of those reclining to eat knew for what intent He said this to him,
Nambeambe ntopo mundu mu'meza ywatangite sababu ya Yesu kubaya likowe lee kwake.
29 for certain [of them] were thinking, since Judas had the bag, that Jesus says to him, “Buy what we have need of for the celebration”; or that he may give something to the poor;
30 having received, therefore, the morsel, that one immediately went forth, and it was night.
Baada ya Yuda kutola mkate, atiboka panja haraka mana ibile kilo.
31 When, therefore, he went forth, Jesus says, “Now was the Son of Man glorified, and God was glorified in Him;
32 if God was glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself; indeed, He will immediately glorify Him.
Nnongo atikumtukuza mu'ywembe mwene, ni alowa kumtukuza upesi.
33 Little children, yet a little [while] am I with you; you will seek Me, and according as I said to the Jews, I also say to you now: To where I go away, you are not able to come.
34 A new command I give to you, that you love one another; according as I loved you, that you also love one another;
35 in this will all know that you are My disciples, if you may have love one to another.”
36 Simon Peter says to Him, “Lord, to where do You go away?” Jesus answered him, “To where I go away, you are not able now to follow Me, but afterward you will follow Me.”
Simoni Petro kammakiya, “Ngwana, uyenda kwaako?” Yesu kaanyangwa, “Pandu natiboka nambeambe uweza kwaa kunikengama, lakini mwalowa kunikengama baadae.”
37 Peter says to Him, “Lord, why am I not able to follow You now? I will lay down my life for You”;
Petro atikumbakiya, “Ngwana, kwa mwanja namani nikukengame kwaa hata nambeambe? Nenga nalowa kugaboywa maisha gango kwaajili yako.”
38 Jesus answered him, “You will lay down your life for Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, a rooster will not crow until you may deny Me three times.”
Yesu kanyangwa, “Je walowa kugaboywa maisha yako kwaajili yango? Amini amini niakubakiya, jogoo abeka kwaa kabla kunikanikya kwaa nenga mara tatu.”
