< John 13 >

1 And before the Celebration of the Passover, Jesus knowing that His hour has come, that He may depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who [are] in the world—to the end He loved them.
Lyaliji likanaŵe lyuŵa lyekulungwa lya Pasaka. Che Yesu achimanyililaga kuti katema kao kakutyoka pachilambo chino ni kwaula kwa Atati ŵao kaiche. Moŵa gose ŵanonyele ŵandu ŵao ŵaali pachilambo, elo, ŵanonyele kwa unonyelo wangali mbesi!
2 And dinner having come, the Devil already having put [it] into the heart of Judas of Simon, Iscariot, that he may deliver Him up,
3 Jesus knowing that all things the Father has given to Him—into [His] hands, and that He came forth from God, and He goes to God,
4 rises from the dinner, and lays down His garments, and having taken a towel, He girded Himself;
Nipele, ŵatyosile pachakulya pala, ŵawusile likoti lyakwe ni kuŵika pambali, ŵajigele chitambaa ni kulitaŵa mchiunu.
5 afterward He puts water into the basin, and began to wash the feet of His disciples, and to wipe with the towel with which He was being girded.
6 He comes, therefore, to Simon Peter, and that one says to Him, “Lord, You—do You wash my feet?”
Paŵaiche ku che Simoni Petulo, jwelejo ŵammusisye Che Yesu, “Ambuje, ana mmwe nkusaka kuungunda makongolo gangu?”
7 Jesus answered and said to him, “That which I do you have not known now, but you will know after these things”;
Che Yesu ŵajanjile, “Ngankuchimanya chingupanganya sambano, nambo chinchimanye kanyuma.”
8 Peter says to Him, “You may not wash my feet—throughout the age.” Jesus answered him, “If I may not wash you, you have no part with Me”; (aiōn g165)
Che Petulo ŵansalile Che Yesu, “Mmwe ngamungunda makongolo gangu kose.” Che Yesu ŵajanjile, “Iŵaga ngangugakunda makongolo genu, mmwejo ngamma jwakulijiganya jwangu.” (aiōn g165)
9 Simon Peter says to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also the hands and the head.”
Che Simoni Petulo ŵanjanjile, “Ambuje, mungunde, ngaŵa makongolo pe, nambo ni makono gangu ni ntwe wangu nombe nawo.”
10 Jesus says to him, “He who has been bathed has no need except to wash his feet, but he is clean altogether; and you are clean, but not all”;
Che Yesu ŵansalile, “Jwanjoje amasile kusalala, akusachilwa kulikunda mmakongolo pe. Ŵanyamwe nsalele, ikaŵe mundu jumo pe.”
11 for He knew him who is delivering Him up; because of this He said, “You are not all clean.”
Che Yesu ŵammanyilile ajula juchiŵagalauche, kwa ligongo lyo ŵatite, “Ŵanyamwe nsalele, ikaŵe mundu jumo pe.”
12 When, therefore, He washed their feet, and took His garments, having reclined again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you?
Paŵamalisisye kwakunda makongolo gao, ŵawasile likoti lyakwe, ŵatemi sooni ni kwausya, “Ana nchimanyi chele chindesile kukwenu cho?
13 You call Me the Teacher and the LORD, and you say well, for I am;
Ŵanyamwe nkuumilanga une Jwakwiganya ni Ambuje, nkuŵecheta uchenene, pakuŵa yeleyo ni indite pakuŵa.
14 if then I washed your feet—the LORD and the Teacher—you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
Nipele iŵaga uneji jundi Ambuje ni Jwakwiganya, nankundile makongolo genu ni ŵanyamwe nkuŵajilwa nkundane makongolo jwine ni jwine.
15 For I gave to you an example, that, according as I did to you, you also may do;
Nampele chitagu chi, kuti ni ŵanyamwe mpanganyeje iyoyo mpela inampanganyichisye ŵanyamwe.
16 truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his lord, nor an apostle greater than he who sent him;
Ngunsalila isyene, ngapagwa kapolo jwakumpunda mmbujegwe, atamuno ngapagwa jwakutumichila jwakumpunda jwantumile.
17 if you have known these things, you are blessed if you may do them;
Nipele iŵaga ngamanyi gelego, chinkole upile iŵaga chingatende.”
18 I do not speak concerning you all; I have known whom I chose for Myself; but that the Writing may be fulfilled: He who is eating the bread with Me, lifted up his heel against Me.
“Ginguŵecheta ga ngaŵa kwa ŵanyamwe ŵanawose. Uneji ngwamanyilila yatite pakuŵa ŵanawose unasagwile ŵala. Nambo gakusachilwa gamalile Malembelo ga Akunnungu gagakuti, ‘Mundu jwakulya chakulya pamo ni uneji amujilile nkusa.’
19 From this time I tell you, before its coming to pass, that, when it may come to pass, you may believe that I AM;
Uneji nansalile gelega sambano gakanaŵe kopochela, kuti pachigakopochele po nkulupilile kuti, ‘Uneji ndili jwelejo.’
20 truly, truly, I say to you, he who is receiving whomsoever I may send, receives Me; and he who is receiving Me, receives Him who sent Me.”
Ngunsalila isyene, mundu jwalijose juchampochele junguntuma, jwelejo akumbochela ni une, ni mundu jwakumbochela uneji akumpochela jwele jwandumile une.”
21 Having said these things, Jesus was troubled in the spirit, and testified and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you that one of you will deliver Me up”;
Che Yesu paŵamasile kuŵecheta yeleyo ŵasupwiche nnope mmbumu jao, ŵaŵechete pangasisa kuti, “Ngunsalila isyene, jumo jwenu chang'alauche!”
22 the disciples were looking, therefore, at one another, doubting concerning of whom He speaks.
Ŵakulijiganya ŵao ŵalolegene anakombole kwimanyilila kuti ŵagambaga ŵaani.
23 And there was one of His disciples reclining in the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus was loving;
Jumo jwa ŵakulijiganya ŵao juŵanonyelwe nnope ni Che Yesu, ŵatemi pachiŵandi ni Che Yesu.
24 Simon Peter, then, beckons to this one, to inquire who he may be concerning whom He speaks,
Nipele che Simoni Petulo ŵankupilile jwakulijiganya jula kunsalila, “Mwausye ana akwagamba ŵaani?”
25 and that one having leaned back on the breast of Jesus, responds to Him, “Lord, who is it?”
Jwakulijiganya jo ŵammandichile nnope Che Yesu ni kwausya, “Ambuje ana ŵaani nkwagamba?”
26 Jesus answers, “It is that one to whom I, having dipped the morsel, will give it”; and having dipped the morsel, He gives [it] to Judas of Simon, Iscariot.
27 And after the morsel, then Satan entered into that one. Jesus, therefore, says to him, “What you do—do quickly”;
Che Yuda napochelape chipande cho, ŵajinjilwe ni Shetani. Nipele Che Yesu ŵansalile, “Chinkusaka kuchipanganya, nchipanganye chitema pe!”
28 and none of those reclining to eat knew for what intent He said this to him,
Nambo ngapagwa mundu jwalijose mwa aŵala ŵaŵatemi pachakulya pala juŵaimanyilile ligongo lya kwasalila yeleyo.
29 for certain [of them] were thinking, since Judas had the bag, that Jesus says to him, “Buy what we have need of for the celebration”; or that he may give something to the poor;
Pakuŵa che Yuda ŵaliji jwakugosa mbiko, ŵakulijiganya ŵane ŵaganisisye kuti Che Yesu ŵaasalile che Yuda kuti ajaule akasume indu yaikusachilwa ku chindimba cha Pasaka, pane ŵaasalile kuti akapeleganye chachili chose kwa ŵakulaga.
30 having received, therefore, the morsel, that one immediately went forth, and it was night.
Nipele, che Yuda napochelape chipande cha nkate chila, ŵakopweche paasa. Ni kele katema ko kaliji chilo.
31 When, therefore, he went forth, Jesus says, “Now was the Son of Man glorified, and God was glorified in Him;
Che Yuda paŵakopweche, Che Yesu ŵatite, “Sambano Mwana jwa Mundu apatile ukulu, ni Akunnungu nombe apatile ukulu mwa jwelejo.
32 if God was glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself; indeed, He will immediately glorify Him.
Iŵaga ukulu wa Akunnungu uwunukwiche kwa litala lya Mwana jwa Mundu, nipele Akunnungu asyene chauunukule ukulu wa Mwana jwa Mundu, nombewo chiŵakusye chitema pe.”
33 Little children, yet a little [while] am I with you; you will seek Me, and according as I said to the Jews, I also say to you now: To where I go away, you are not able to come.
“Achiŵanangu, ndili ni ŵanyamwe kwa moŵa kanandi pe. Chimuusose, nambo sambano ngunsalila aila inaasalile achakulu ŵa Ŵayahudi kuti, ‘Kungwaula ŵanyamwe ngankombolanga kwika!’
34 A new command I give to you, that you love one another; according as I loved you, that you also love one another;
Malajisyo ga sambano ngumpanga gati nnonyelane jwine ni jwine. Mpela indite pakunnonyela ŵanyamwe, kwanti iyoyo peyo nnonyelane jwine ni jwine.
35 in this will all know that you are My disciples, if you may have love one to another.”
Mwanonyelanaga jwine ni jwine, ŵandu ŵanawose chachimanyilila kuti ŵanyamwe ndi ŵakulijiganya ŵangu.”
36 Simon Peter says to Him, “Lord, to where do You go away?” Jesus answered him, “To where I go away, you are not able now to follow Me, but afterward you will follow Me.”
Che Simoni Petulo ŵambusisye Che Yesu, “Ana Ambuje nkwenda kwapi?” Ni Che Yesu ŵajanjile, “Kungwaula sambano ngankombola kuunguya, nambo chimuunguye kanyuma.”
37 Peter says to Him, “Lord, why am I not able to follow You now? I will lay down my life for You”;
Che Petulo ŵansalile, “Ambuje, ligongo chi lichilepele kunkuya sambano? Ndili chile kuwa kwa ligongo lyenu!”
38 Jesus answered him, “You will lay down your life for Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, a rooster will not crow until you may deny Me three times.”
Isyene ngunsalila, jikanaŵe kutongola tambala chimuungane katatu!”
