Joel 3
1 “For behold, in those days, and in that time, When I turn back [to] the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
Denn fürwahr, in jenen Tagen und in jener Zeit, wo ich das Geschick Judas und Jerusalems wandeln werde,
2 Then I have gathered all the nations, And caused them to go down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, And I have been in judgment with them there, Concerning My people and My inheritance—Israel, Whom they scattered among nations, And My land they have apportioned.
will ich alle Nationen versammeln und sie in das Tal Josaphat hinunterführen, um dort mit ihnen ins Gericht zu gehen wegen meines Volks und meines Erbteils Israel, weil sie es unter die Heiden versprengt und mein Land zerstückt haben;
3 And for My people they cast a lot, And they give the young man for a harlot, And have sold the young woman for wine, That they may drink.
weil sie die Angehörigen meines Volkes verlosten, den Knaben für eine Hure hingaben und das Mädchen um Wein verhandelten und zechten.
4 And also, what [are] you to Me, O Tyre and Sidon, And all circuits of Philistia? Are you rendering repayment to Me? And if you are giving repayment to Me, Swiftly, quickly, I return your repayment on your head.
Was habt ihr doch an mir zu suchen, Tyrus und Sidon und all' ihr Bezirke Philistäas! Wollt ihr mir etwa heimzahlen, was man euch zugefügt hat, oder wolltet ihr mir etwas zufügen? In schnellster Eile lasse ich euer Thun auf euer haupt zurückfallen.
5 In that My silver and My gold you took, And My desirable things that are good, You have brought into your temples.
Habt ihr mir doch mein Silber und mein Gold geraubt und meine schönsten Kleinodien in eure Tempel gebracht.
6 And sons of Judah, and sons of Jerusalem, You have sold to the sons of Javan, To put them far off from their border.
Judäer und Jerusalemer habt ihr an die Jonier verkauft, um sie weit von ihrer Heimat zu entfernen.
7 Behold, I am stirring them up out of the place To where you have sold them, And I have turned back your repayment on your head,
Fürwahr, ich werde sie aufstören von dem Ort, wohin ihr sie verkauftet, und werde euer Tun auf euer Haupt zurückfallen lassen.
8 And have sold your sons and your daughters Into the hand of the sons of Judah, And they have sold them to Sabeans, To a nation far off, for YHWH has spoken.”
Ich verkaufe euer Söhne und eure Töchter den Judäern, die werden sie den Sabäern, einer weitentlegenen Nation verkaufen, denn Jahwe hat es geredet.
9 Proclaim this among nations, Sanctify a war, stir up the mighty ones, Come near, come up, let all the men of war.
Laßt den Aufruf unter den Nationen ergehen: Rüstet euch zum heiligen Krieg! Feuert die Helden an! Alle Kriegsmänner sollen anrücken und zu Felde ziehen!
10 Beat your plowshares to swords, And your pruning-hooks to javelins, Let the weak say, “I [am] mighty.”
Schmiedet eure Karste zu Schwertern um und eure Winzermesser zu Lanzen! Der Schwächling rufe: Ein Held bin ich!
11 Hurry, and come in, all you nations around, And be gathered together, There cause to come down, O YHWH, Your mighty ones.
Eilt herbei und kommt, all' ihr Völker ringsum, zum Sammelplatz! - Dorthin laß, Jahwe, deine Helden niederfahren!
12 “Let the nations wake and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, For there I sit to judge all the nations around.
Die Völker sollen sich anfeuern und heranziehen in das Tal Josaphat; denn dort will ich über alle die Völker ringsum zu Gerichte sitzen.
13 Send forth a sickle, For harvest has ripened, Come in, come down, for the press has been filled, Winepresses have overflowed, For great [is] their wickedness.”
Legt die Sichel an, denn die Ernte ist gereift; kommt und stampft, denn die Kelter ist angefüllt, die Kufen strömen über, denn ihre Missethat ist groß!
14 Multitudes, multitudes [are] in the Valley of Decision, For near [is] the Day of YHWH in the Valley of Decision.
Scharen an Scharen erscheinen im Thale der Entscheidung; denn nahe bevor steht der Tag Jahwes im Thale der Entscheidung.
15 Sun and moon have been black, And stars have gathered up their shining.
Sonne und Mond haben sich verfinstert, und die Sterne ihren Glanz verloren.
16 And YHWH roars from Zion, And gives forth His voice from Jerusalem, And the heavens and earth have shaken, And YHWH [is] a refuge to His people, And a stronghold to sons of Israel.
Jahwe aber brüllt vom Zion her und aus Jerusalem läßt er seine Stimme erschallen, sodaß Himmel und Erde erzittern aber eine Zuflucht ist Jahwe seinem Volk und eine feste Burg den Israeliten.
17 “And you have known that I [am] your God YHWH, Dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain, And Jerusalem has been holy, And strangers do not pass over into it again.”
Ihr sollt inne werden, daß ich Jahwe, euer Gott, bin, der ich auf dem Zion wohne, meinem heiligen Berge! Jerusalem aber wird heilig sein, und Fremde werden es nie mehr durchziehen.
18 And it has come to pass in that day, The mountains drop down juice, And the hills flow [with] milk, And all streams of Judah go [with] water, And a fountain from the house of YHWH goes forth, And has watered the Valley of Shittim.
Dann werden an jenem Tage die Berge von Most triefen; die Hügel von Milch überfließen, und alle Bäche Judas von Wasser überfließen. Eine Quelle wird im Tempel Jahwes entspringen und das Akazienthal bewässern.
19 “Egypt becomes a desolation, And Edom becomes a desolation, a wilderness, For violence [to] sons of Judah, Whose innocent blood they shed in their land.
Ägypten wird zur Wüste werden und Edom zu einer wüsten Trist, wegen der Frevelthat an den Judäern, weil sie unschuldiges Blut in ihrem Lande vergossen.
20 And Judah dwells for all time, And Jerusalem to generation and generation.
Juda aber wird immerdar bewohnt sein, und Jerusalem bis auf die spätesten Geschlechter.
21 And I have declared their blood innocent, [That] I did not declare innocent, And YHWH is dwelling in Zion!”
Ich werde ihr Blut rächen, das ich noch nicht gerächt habe, und Jahwe bleibt auf dem Zion wohnen!
