< Job 8 >
1 And Bildad the Shuhite answers and says:
and to answer Bildad [the] Shuhite and to say
2 “Until when do you speak these things? And a strong wind—sayings of your mouth?
till where? to speak these and spirit: breath mighty word lip your
3 Does God pervert judgment? And does the Mighty One pervert justice?
God to pervert justice and if Almighty to pervert righteousness
4 If your sons have sinned before Him, And He sends them away, By the hand of their transgression,
if son: child your to sin to/for him and to send: let go them in/on/with hand: power transgression their
5 If you seek for God early, And make supplication to the Mighty,
if you(m. s.) to seek to(wards) God and to(wards) Almighty be gracious
6 If you [are] pure and upright, Surely now He wakes for you, And has completed The habitation of your righteousness.
if pure and upright you(m. s.) for now to rouse upon you and to complete pasture righteousness your
7 And your beginning has been small, And your latter end is very great.
and to be first: beginning your little and end your to increase much
8 For inquire, please, of a former generation, And prepare for a search of their fathers,
for to ask please to/for generation first: previous and to establish: right to/for search father their
9 For we [are] of yesterday, and we do not know, For our days [are] a shadow on earth.
for yesterday we and not to know for shadow day our upon land: country/planet
10 Do they not show you—speak to you, And from their heart bring forth words?
not they(masc.) to show you to say to/for you and from heart their to come out: speak speech
11 Does a rush rise without a marsh? A reed increase without water?
to rise up reed in/on/with not swamp to grow meadow without water
12 While it [is] in its budding—uncropped, Even before any herb it withers.
still he in/on/with greenery his not to pluck and to/for face: before all grass to wither
13 So [are] the paths of all forgetting God, And the hope of the profane perishes,
so way all to forget God and hope profane to perish
14 Whose confidence is loathsome, And the house of a spider his trust.
which to cut off loin his and house: home spider confidence his
15 He leans on his house—and it does not stand, He takes hold on it—and it does not abide.
to lean upon house: home his and not to stand: stand to strengthen: hold in/on/with him and not to arise: establish
16 He [is] green before the sun, And over his garden his branch goes out.
fresh he/she/it to/for face: before sun and upon garden his shoot his to come out: issue
17 His roots are wrapped by a heap, He looks for a house of stones.
upon heap root his to interweave place stone to see
18 If [one] destroys him from his place, Then it has feigned concerning him, I have not seen you!
if to swallow up him from place his and to deceive in/on/with him not to see: see you
19 Behold, this [is] the joy of His way, And from the dust others spring up.
look! he/she/it rejoicing way: conduct his and from dust another to spring
20 Behold, God does not reject the perfect, Nor takes hold on the hand of evildoers.
look! God not to reject complete and not to strengthen: hold in/on/with hand: power be evil
21 While He fills your mouth with laughter, And your lips with shouting,
till to fill laughter lip your and lips your shout
22 Those hating you put on shame, And the tent of the wicked is not!”
to hate you to clothe shame and tent wicked nothing he
