< Job 41 >

1 “Do you draw leviathan with a hook? And do you let down his tongue with a rope?
“Ǹjẹ́ ìwọ le è fi ìwọ̀ fa Lefitani jáde? Tàbí ìwọ lè fi okùn so ahọ́n rẹ̀ mọ́lẹ̀?
2 Do you put a reed in his nose? And pierce his jaw with a thorn?
Ìwọ lè fi okùn bọ̀ ọ́ ní í mú, tàbí fi ìwọ̀ ẹ̀gún gun ní ẹ̀rẹ̀kẹ́?
3 Does he multiply supplications to you? Does he speak tender things to you?
Òun ha jẹ́ bẹ ẹ̀bẹ̀ fún àánú lọ́dọ̀ rẹ ní ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ bí òun ha bá ọ sọ̀rọ̀ pẹ̀lẹ́?
4 Does he make a covenant with you? Do you take him for a perpetual servant?
Òun ha bá ọ dá májẹ̀mú bí? Ìwọ ó ha máa mú ṣe ẹrú láéláé bí?
5 Do you play with him as a bird? And do you bind him for your girls?
Ìwọ ha lè ba sáré bí ẹni pé ẹyẹ ni, tàbí ìwọ ó dè é fún àwọn ọmọbìnrin ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀?
6 (Companions feast on him, They divide him among the merchants!)
Ẹgbẹ́ àwọn apẹja yóò ha máa tà á bí? Wọn ó ha pín láàrín àwọn oníṣòwò?
7 Do you fill his skin with barbed irons? And his head with fish-spears?
Ìwọ ha lè fi ọ̀kọ̀-irin gun awọ rẹ̀, tàbí orí rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú ọ̀kọ̀ ìpẹja.
8 Place your hand on him, Remember the battle—do not add!
Fi ọwọ́ rẹ lé e lára, ìwọ ó rántí ìjà náà, ìwọ kì yóò sì ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ mọ́.
9 Behold, the hope of him is found a liar, Also, is one not cast down at his appearance?
Kíyèsi, ìgbìyànjú láti mú un ní asán; ní kìkì ìrí rẹ̀ ara kì yóò ha rọ̀ ọ́ wẹ̀sì?
10 None so fierce that he awakes him, And who [is] he [who] stations himself before Me?
Kò sí ẹni aláyà lílé tí ó lè ru sókè. Ǹjẹ́ ta ni ó lè dúró níwájú mi.
11 Who has brought before Me and I repay? Under the whole heavens it [is] Mine.
Ta ni ó kọ́kọ́ ṣe fún mi, tí èmi ìbá fi san án fún un? Ohunkóhun ti ń bẹ lábẹ́ ọ̀run gbogbo, tèmi ni.
12 I do not keep silent concerning his parts, And the matter of might, And the grace of his arrangement.
“Èmi kì yóò fi ẹ̀yà ara Lefitani, tàbí ipá rẹ, tàbí ìhámọ́ra rẹ tí ó ní ẹwà pamọ́.
13 Who has uncovered the face of his clothing? Who enters within his double bridle?
Ta ni yóò lè rídìí aṣọ àpáta rẹ̀? Tàbí ta ni ó lè súnmọ́ ọ̀nà méjì eyín rẹ̀?
14 Who has opened the doors of his face? Around his teeth [are] terrible.
Ta ni ó lè ṣí ìlẹ̀kùn iwájú rẹ̀? Àyíká ẹ̀yin rẹ ni ìbẹ̀rù ńlá.
15 A pride—strong ones of shields, Shut up—a close seal.
Ìpẹ́ lílé ní ìgbéraga rẹ̀; ó pàdé pọ̀ tímọ́tímọ́ bí àmì èdìdì.
16 They draw near to one another, And air does not enter between them.
Èkínní fi ara mọ́ èkejì tó bẹ́ẹ̀ tí afẹ́fẹ́ kò lè wọ àárín wọn.
17 They adhere to one another, They stick together and are not separated.
Èkínní fi ara mọ́ èkejì rẹ̀; wọ́n lè wọ́n pọ̀ tí a kò lè mọ̀ wọ́n.
18 His sneezings cause light to shine, And his eyes [are] as the eyelids of the dawn.
Nípa sí sin rẹ̀ ìmọ́lẹ̀ á mọ́, ojú rẹ̀ a sì dàbí ìpéǹpéjú òwúrọ̀.
19 Flames go out of his mouth, sparks of fire escape.
Láti ẹnu rẹ ni ọ̀wọ́-iná ti jáde wá, ìpẹ́pẹ́ iná a sì ta jáde.
20 Smoke goes forth out of his nostrils, As a blown pot and reeds.
Láti ihò imú rẹ ni èéfín ti jáde wá, bí ẹni pé láti inú ìkòkò tí a fẹ́ iná ìfèéfèé lábẹ́ rẹ̀.
21 His breath sets coals on fire, And a flame goes forth from his mouth.
Èémí rẹ̀ tiná bọ ẹ̀yin iná, ọ̀wọ́-iná sì ti ẹnu rẹ̀ jáde.
22 Strength lodges in his neck, And grief exults before him.
Ní ọrùn rẹ̀ ní agbára kù sí, àti ìbànújẹ́ àyà sì padà di ayọ̀ níwájú rẹ̀.
23 The flakes of his flesh have adhered—Firm on him—it is not moved.
Jabajaba ẹran rẹ̀ dìjọ pọ̀, wọ́n múra gírí fún ara wọn, a kò lè sí wọn ní ipò.
24 His heart [is] firm as a stone, Indeed, firm as the lower piece.
Àyà rẹ̀ dúró gbagidi bí òkúta, àní, ó le bi ìyá ọlọ.
25 The mighty are afraid at his rising, From his breakings they keep themselves free.
Nígbà tí ó bá gbé ara rẹ̀ sókè, àwọn alágbára bẹ̀rù; nítorí ìbẹ̀rù ńlá, wọ́n dààmú.
26 The sword of his overtaker does not stand, Spear, dart, and breastplate.
Ọ̀kọ̀ tàbí idà, tàbí ọfà, ẹni tí ó ṣá a kò lè rán an.
27 He reckons iron as straw, bronze as rotten wood.
Ó ká irin sí ibi koríko gbígbẹ àti idẹ si bi igi híhù.
28 The son of the bow does not cause him to flee, Stones of the sling are turned into stubble by him.
Ọfà kò lè mú un sá; òkúta kànnakánná lọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀ dàbí àgékù koríko.
29 Darts have been reckoned as stubble, And he laughs at the shaking of a javelin.
Ó ka ẹṣin sí bí àgékù ìdì koríko; ó rẹ́rìn-ín sí mímì ọ̀kọ̀.
30 Sharp points of clay [are] under him, He spreads gold on the mire.
Òkúta mímú ń bẹ nísàlẹ̀ abẹ́ rẹ̀, ó sì tẹ́ ohun mímú ṣóńṣó sórí ẹrẹ̀.
31 He causes the deep to boil as a pot, He makes the sea as a pot of ointment.
Ó mú ibú omi hó bí ìkòkò; ó sọ̀ agbami òkun dàbí kólòbó ìkunra.
32 He causes a path to shine after him, One thinks the deep to be hoary.
Ó mú ipa ọ̀nà tan lẹ́yìn rẹ̀; ènìyàn a máa ka ibú sí ewú arúgbó.
33 There is not on the earth his like, That is made without terror.
Lórí ilẹ̀ ayé kò sí ẹni tí ó dàbí rẹ̀, tí a dá láìní ìbẹ̀rù.
34 He sees every high thing, He [is] king over all sons of pride.”
Ó bojú wo ohun gíga gbogbo, ó sì nìkan jásí ọba lórí gbogbo àwọn ọmọ ìgbéraga.”
