Job 37
1 “Also, my heart trembles at this, And it moves from its place.
Sobre isto tambem treme o meu coração, e salta do seu logar.
2 Listen diligently to the trembling of His voice, Indeed, the sound goes forth from His mouth.
Attentamente ouvi o movimento da sua voz, e o sonido que sae da sua bocca.
3 He directs it under the whole heavens, And its light [is] over the skirts of the earth.
Elle o envia por debaixo de todos os céus, e a sua luz até aos confins da terra.
4 A voice roars after it—He thunders with the voice of His excellence, And He does not hold them back, When His voice is heard.
Depois d'isto brama com grande voz, troveja com a sua alta voz; e, ouvida a sua voz, não tarda com estas coisas.
5 God thunders with His voice wonderfully, Doing great things and we do not know.
Com a sua voz troveja Deus maravilhosamente: faz grandes coisas, e nós as não comprehendemos.
6 For He says to snow: Be [on] the earth. And the small rain and great rain of His power.
Porque á neve diz: Está sobre a terra: como tambem ao aguaceiro e á sua forte chuva.
7 Into the hand of every man he seals, For the knowledge by all men of His work.
Elle sella as mãos de todo o homem, para que conheça todos os homens de sua obra.
8 And the beast enters into [its] lair, And it continues in its habitations.
E as bestas entram nos seus esconderijos e ficam nas suas cavernas.
9 From the inner chamber comes a windstorm, And from scatterings winds—cold,
Da recamara sae o pé de vento, e dos ventos dispersivos o frio.
10 From the breath of God is frost given, And the breadth of waters is constricted,
Pelo assopro de Deus se dá a geada, e as largas aguas se endurecem.
11 Indeed, by filling He presses out a cloud, [and] His light scatters a cloud.
Tambem com a humidade carrega as grossas nuvens, e esparge a nuvem da sua luz.
12 And it is turning itself around by His counsels, For their doing all He commands them, On the face of the habitable earth.
Então ellas, segundo o seu prudente conselho, se tornam pelas espheras, para que façam tudo quanto lhes ordena sobre a superficie do mundo habitavel,
13 Whether for a rod, or for His land, Or for kindness—He causes it to come.
Seja que por vara, ou para a sua terra, ou por beneficencia as faça vir.
14 Hear this, O Job, Stand and consider the wonders of God.
A isto, ó Job, inclina os teus ouvidos: põe-te em pé, e considera as maravilhas de Deus.
15 Do you know when God places them, And caused the light of His cloud to shine?
Porventura sabes tu quando Deus considera n'ellas, e faz resplandecer a lua da sua nuvem?
16 Do you know the balancings of a cloud? The wonders of the Perfect in knowledge?
Tens tu noticia do equilibrio das grossas nuvens e das maravilhas de aquelle que é perfeito nos conhecimentos,
17 How your garments [are] warm, In the quieting of the earth from the south?
Ou de como os teus vestidos aquecem, quando do sul ha calma sobre a terra?
18 You have made an expanse with Him For the clouds—strong as a hard mirror!
Ou estendeste com elle os céus, que estão firmes como espelho fundido?
19 Let us know what we say to Him, We do not set in array because of darkness.
Ensina-nos o que lhe diremos; porque nós nada poderemos pôr em boa ordem, por causa das trevas.
20 Is it declared to Him that I speak? If a man has spoken, surely he is swallowed up.
Ou ser-lhe-hia contado, quando eu assim fallasse? dir-lhe-ha alguem isso? pois será devorado.
21 And now, they have not seen the light, It [is] bright in the clouds, And the wind has passed by and cleanses them.
E agora se não pode olhar para o sol, quando resplandece nos céus; passando e purificando-os o vento.
22 It comes from the golden north, Fearful splendor [is] beside God.
O esplendor de oiro vem do norte: pois em Deus ha uma tremenda magestade.
23 The Mighty! We have not found Him out, High in power and judgment, He does not answer! And abundant in righteousness,
Ao Todo-poderoso não podemos alcançar; grande é em potencia; porém a ninguem opprime em juizo e grandeza de justiça.
24 Therefore men fear Him, He does not see any of the wise of heart.”
Por isso o temem os homens: elle não respeita aos sabios de coração.
