< Job 28 >

1 “Surely there is a source for silver, And a place for the gold they refine;
Toe ao ty lakato fitsikaraham-bolafoty naho ty toem-pitranaham-bolamena.
2 Iron is taken from the dust, And bronze [from] the firm stone.
Akareñe an-debok’ ao ty viñe, le tranaheñe am-bongam-bato ty torisike.
3 He has set an end to darkness, And he is searching to all perfection, A stone of darkness and death-shade.
Fongore’e ty ieñe, tsikarahe’e pak’ am-para-piefera’e ao ty vato, an-kamoromoroñañe naho an-talinjon-kavilasy ao.
4 A stream has broken out from a sojourner, Those forgotten of the foot, They were low, they wandered from man.
Anokafa’e lalam-pigodañañe, lavi-pimoneñañe; andikofam-pandia, miradorado ao, mitsikadròtse lavits’ ondaty.
5 The earth! Bread comes forth from it, And its under-part is turned like fire.
Ty tane toy, ama’e ty iboaha’ ty mahakama; ambane’e ao hoe trobotroboen’ afo.
6 A place of the sapphire [are] its stones, And it has dust of gold.
Angalan-tsafira o vato’eo, naho volamena an-debo’e ao.
7 A path—a ravenous bird has not known it, Nor has an eye of the falcon scorched it,
Tsy hay o voro-pamaokeo i lalañey; tsy trea’ ty maso’ i hitikitikey.
8 Nor have the sons of pride trodden it, The fierce lion has not passed over it.
Tsy nilià’ o bibi-ly mpireñetseo; mbe tsy nipiapia ambone’e eo ty liona.
9 He sent forth his hand against the flint, He overturned mountains from the root.
Ahiti’e mb’amo vato-pilakeo ty fità’e vaho avalitaboa’e reke-bahatse o vohitseo.
10 Among rocks, he has cleaved brooks, And his eye has seen every precious thing.
Kaohe’e amo vatoo ty talàha vaho oni-pihaino’e ze atao vara.
11 He has bound overflowing rivers, And the hidden thing brings out [to] light.
Sebaña’e o torahañeo tsy hiorike; aboa’e mb’an-kazavàñe o raha nikafitseo.
12 And the wisdom—from where is it found? And where [is] this, the place of understanding?
Fe aia ty hahaoniñañe hihitse? Aia ka ty toe’ o hilalao?
13 Man has not known its arrangement, Nor is it found in the land of the living.
Tsy fohi’ondaty ty vili’e, toe tsy tendrek’ an-tane’ o veloñeo.
14 The deep has said, It [is] not in me, And the sea has said, It is not with me.
hoe i lalekey, Tsy amako atoa; le hoe i riakey, Tsy amako etoa.
15 Gold is not given for it, Nor is silver weighed—its price.
Tsy ikaloam-bolamena, vaho tsy andanjàm-bolafoty.
16 It is not valued with pure gold of Ophir, With precious onyx and sapphire,
Tsy añoharañe ami’ty volamena’ i Ofire, ndra an-tsohame sarotse ndra safira.
17 Gold and crystal do not equal it, Nor [is] its exchange a vessel of fine gold.
Tsy añirinkiriña’ ty volamena ndra ty kristaly, tsy tsalohem-panake volamena ki’e.
18 Corals and pearl are not remembered, The acquisition of wisdom [is] above rubies.
Tsy ivolañañe ty vaton-driake ndra vato-soa; ambone’ o hangeo ty fikaloan-kihitse.
19 The topaz of Cush does not equal it, It is not valued with pure gold.
Tsy oharañe ama’e ty pit-dae’ i Kose, tsy ibalibalihem-bolamena hiringiri’e.
20 And the wisdom—from where does it come? And where [is] this, the place of understanding?
Hirik’ aia arè o hihitseo? Vaho aia ty toe’ o hilalao?
21 It has been hid from the eyes of all living. And from the bird of the heavens It has been hidden.
Ie mikafits’ am-pihaino’ ze atao veloñe, vaho mietak’ amo voron-tiokeo.
22 Destruction and death have said: With our ears we have heard its fame.
Hoe ty Tsikeokeoke naho i Havilasy: fa nahatsanon-talily aze o sofi’aio.
23 God has understood its way, And He has known its place.
Arofoanan’ Añahare i lala’ey, fohi’e ka i toe’ey.
24 For He looks to the ends of the earth, He sees under the whole heavens,
Jilove’e pak’ añ’olo’ ty tane toy, vazoho’e ze he’e ambanen-dikerañe ao.
25 To make a weight for the wind, And He meted out the waters in measure.
Ie nanolora’e lanja o tiokeo, vaho nanjara’e an-kapoake o ranoo;
26 In His making for the rain a limit, And a way for the brightness of the voices,
ie nafepè’e o orañeo, naho ty lala’ o helats’ampiñeo;
27 Then He has seen and declares it, He has prepared it, and also searched it out,
Le nivazohoe’e, nitseize’e; najado’e vaho tsinikara’e.
28 And He says to man: Behold, fear of the Lord, that [is] wisdom, And to turn from evil [is] understanding.”
Le hoe re am’ondatio, Inao: Ty fañeveñañe amy Talè, Izay ro hihitse; ty fisitahañe an-karatiañe ro hilala.
