< Job 27 >
1 And Job adds to lift up his allegory and says:
Job mah a thuih ih patahhaih lok to thuih patomh poe;
2 “God lives! He turned aside my judgment, And the Mighty—He made my soul bitter.
ka toenghaih ang lak pae ving; ka hinghaih patangkhangsak, Thacak Sithaw loe hing pongah,
3 For all the while my breath [is] in me, And the wind of God in my nostrils.
ka hinghaih takhi ka takpum thungah oh nathung, Sithaw ih takhi ka hnaqong thungah oh nathung,
4 My lips do not speak perverseness, And my tongue does not utter deceit.
ka pahni mah kahoih ai hmuen to thui mak ai, ka palai mah alinghaih lok thui mak ai.
5 Defilement to me—if I justify you, Until I expire I do not turn aside my integrity from me.
Nang loe na toeng tiah, thuih han ih lok to Sithaw mah pakaa nasoe; ka duek khoek to ka toenghaih ka pahnawt sut mak ai.
6 On my righteousness I have laid hold, And I do not let it go, My heart does not reproach me while I live.
Ka toenghaih to kacakah ka patawnh, ka prawt ving mak ai; ka hing thung ka palung mah kai hae kasae thui mak ai.
7 My enemy is as the wicked, And my withstander as the perverse.
Ka misanawk loe kasae kami ah om o nasoe loe, kai tuk han angthawk kaminawk loe katoeng ai kami ah om o nasoe.
8 For what [is] the hope of the profane, When He cuts off? When God casts off his soul?
Angsah cop kami loe duek moe, Sithaw mah a hinghaih lak pae ving naah, oephaih timaw tawn vop tih?
9 [Does] God hear his cry, When distress comes on him?
Anih nuiah raihaih phak naah, Sithaw mah anih qahhaih lok to tahngai pae maw?
10 Does he delight himself on the Mighty? Call God at all times?
Anih loe Thacak Sithaw khaeah anghoe thai tih maw? Anih mah Sithaw to kawk khing tih maw?
11 I show you by the hand of God, That which [is] with the Mighty I do not hide.
Sithaw thacakhaih to kang patuek han; Thacak Sithaw poekhaih thuih hanah kang phat mak ai.
12 Behold, you—all of you—have seen, And why [is] this—you are altogether vain?
Khenah, nangmacae mah roe na hnuk o boeh; tipongah kavang ai lok to na thuih o loe?
13 This [is] the portion of wicked man with God, And the inheritance of terrible ones They receive from the Mighty.
Sithaw mah kasae kami han paek ih taham, kasae kami mah Thacak Sithaw khae hoi hnuk han koi qawk loe hae tiah oh;
14 If his sons multiply—a sword [is] for them. And his offspring [are] not satisfied [with] bread.
anih ih caanawk loe pop o parai cadoeh, sumsen hoi hum han ih ni oh o; anih ih caa patoeng kaminawk doeh caaknaek kakhawt ah tawn o mak ai.
15 His remnant are buried in death, And his widows do not weep.
Kahing kanghmat kaminawk loe duekhaih mah muek tih; a zu lamhmainawk loe qah o thai mak ai.
16 If he heaps up silver as dust, And prepares clothing as clay,
Anih mah sumkanglung to maiphu baktiah tapop moe, khukbuennawk to tangphrung long baktiah sah langlacadoeh,
17 He prepares—and the righteous puts [it] on, And the innocent apportions the silver.
a tawnh ih hmuen to katoeng kami mah ni angkhuk tih, zaehaih tawn ai kami mah phoisa to pazet tih.
18 He has built his house as a moth, And as a shelter a watchman has made.
A sak ih im doeh bongpaha tabu baktiah om ueloe, misa toephaih im baktiah ni om tih.
19 He lies down rich, and he is not gathered, He has opened his eyes, and he is not.
Hmuenmae angraeng kami iih han angsong naah loe, hmuennawk tawn mang let mak ai boeh; anih mah mik padai naah, hmuenmaenawk anghmat o boih.
20 Terrors overtake him as waters, By night a whirlwind has stolen him away.
Zitthok hmuen mah anih to tuipui baktiah uem ueloe, khoving ah takhi sae mah hmut boih tih.
21 An east wind takes him up, and he goes, And it frightens him from his place,
Ni angyae bang ih takhi mah anih to hmuh moe, anghmat ving; a ohhaih ahmuen hoiah kaham takhi sae mah hmuh ving.
22 And it casts at him, and does not spare, He diligently flees from its hand.
Anih loe Sithaw ih ban thung hoiah loih han koeh, toe Sithaw mah tahmenhaih tawn ai ah anih to danpaek tih.
23 It claps its hands at him, And it hisses at him from his place.”
To naah kaminawk mah ban tabaeng o thui tih, anih kawng kasae thui o ueloe, a ohhaih ahmuen hoiah haek o ving tih.
