Job 26
1 And Job answers and says:
Job vastasi ja sanoi:
2 “How you have helped the powerless, Saved an arm not strong!
"Kuinka oletkaan auttanut voimatonta, tukenut heikkoa käsivartta!
3 How you have given counsel to the unwise, And made known wise plans in abundance.
Kuinka oletkaan neuvonut taitamatonta ja ilmituonut paljon ymmärrystä!
4 With whom have you declared words? And whose breath came forth from you?
Kenelle oikein olet puheesi pitänyt, ja kenen henki on sinusta käynyt?
5 The Rephaim are formed, Also their inhabitants beneath the waters.
Haamut alhaalla värisevät, vetten ja niiden asukasten alla.
Paljaana on tuonela hänen edessänsä, eikä ole manalalla peitettä. (Sheol h7585)
7 Stretching out the north over desolation, Hanging the earth on nothing,
Pohjoisen hän kaarruttaa autiuden ylle, ripustaa maan tyhjyyden päälle.
8 Binding up the waters in His thick clouds, And the cloud is not burst under them.
Hän sitoo vedet pilviinsä, eivätkä pilvet halkea niiden alla.
9 Taking hold of the face of the throne, Spreading His cloud over it.
Hän peittää valtaistuimensa näkyvistä, levittää pilvensä sen ylitse.
10 He has placed a limit on the waters, To the boundary of light with darkness.
Hän on vetänyt piirin vetten pinnalle, siihen missä valo päättyy pimeään.
11 Pillars of the heavens tremble, And they wonder because of His rebuke.
Taivaan patsaat huojuvat ja hämmästyvät hänen nuhtelustaan.
12 By His power He has quieted the sea, And by His understanding struck the proud.
Voimallansa hän kuohutti meren, ja taidollansa hän ruhjoi Rahabin.
13 He beautified the heavens by His Spirit, His hand has formed the fleeing serpent.
Hänen henkäyksestään kirkastui taivas; hänen kätensä lävisti kiitävän lohikäärmeen.
14 Behold, these [are] the borders of His way, and how little a matter is heard of Him, and who understands the thunder of His might?”
Katso, nämä ovat ainoastaan hänen tekojensa äärten häämötystä, ja kuinka hiljainen onkaan kuiskaus, jonka hänestä kuulemme! Mutta kuka käsittää hänen väkevyytensä jylinän?"
