Job 22
1 And Eliphaz the Temanite answers and says:
तब इलिफ़ज़ तेमानी ने जवाब दिया,
2 “Is a man profitable to God, Because a wise man is profitable to himself?
क्या कोई इंसान ख़ुदा के काम आ सकता है? यक़ीनन 'अक़्लमन्द अपने ही काम का है।
3 Is it a delight to the Mighty One That you are righteous? Is it gain, That you make your ways perfect?
क्या तेरे सादिक़ होने से क़ादिर — ए — मुतलक को कोई ख़ुशी है? या इस बात से कि तू अपनी राहों को कामिल करता है उसे कुछ फ़ायदा है?
4 Because of your reverence Does He reason [with] you? He enters with you into judgment:
क्या इसलिए कि तुझे उसका ख़ौफ़ है, वह तुझे झिड़कता और तुझे 'अदालत में लाता है?
5 Is your wickedness not abundant? And there is no end to your iniquities.
क्या तेरी शरारत बड़ी नहीं? क्या तेरी बदकारियों की कोई हद है?
6 For you take a pledge of your brother for nothing, And you strip off the garments of the naked.
क्यूँकि तू ने अपने भाई की चीज़ें बे वजह गिरवी रख्खी, नंगों का लिबास उतार लिया।
7 You do not cause the weary to drink water, And you withhold bread from the hungry.
तूने थके माँदों को पानी न पिलाया, और भूखों से रोटी को रोक रखा।
8 As for the man of arm—he has the earth, And the accepted of face—he dwells in it.
लेकिन ज़बरदस्त आदमी ज़मीन का मालिक बना, और 'इज़्ज़तदार आदमी उसमें बसा।
9 You have sent widows away empty, And the arms of the fatherless are bruised.
तू ने बेवाओं को ख़ाली चलता किया, और यतीमों के बाज़ू तोड़े गए।
10 Therefore snares [are] all around you, And sudden fear troubles you.
इसलिए फंदे तेरी चारों तरफ़ हैं, और नागहानी ख़ौफ़ तुझे सताता है।
11 Or darkness—you do not see, And abundance of waters covers you.
या ऐसी तारीकी कि तू देख नहीं सकता, और पानी की बाढ़ तुझे छिपाए लेती है।
12 Is God not high [in] the heavens? And see the summit of the stars, That they are high.
क्या आसमान की बुलन्दी में ख़ुदा नहीं? और तारों की बुलन्दी को देख वह कैसे ऊँचे हैं।
13 And you have said, How has God known? Does He judge through thickness?
फिर तू कहता है, कि 'ख़ुदा क्या जानता है? क्या वह गहरी तारीकी में से 'अदालत करेगा?
14 Thick clouds [are] a secret place to Him, And He does not see, And He habitually walks [above] the circle of the heavens.
पानी से भरे हुए बादल उसके लिए पर्दा हैं कि वह देख नहीं सकता; वह आसमान के दाइरे में सैर करता फिरता है।
15 Do you observe the path of the age, That men of iniquity have trodden,
क्या तू उसी पुरानी राह पर चलता रहेगा, जिस पर शरीर लोग चले हैं?
16 Who have been cut down unexpectedly? A flood is poured out on their foundation.
जो अपने वक़्त से पहले उठा लिए गए, और सैलाब उनकी बुनियाद को बहा ले गया।
17 Those saying to God, Turn aside from us, And what does the Mighty One do to them?
जो ख़ुदा से कहते थे, 'हमारे पास से चला जा, 'और यह कि, 'क़ादिर — ए — मुतलक़ हमारे लिए कर क्या सकता है?'
18 And He has filled their houses [with] good (And the counsel of the wicked Has been far from me).
तोभी उसने उनके घरों को अच्छी अच्छी चीज़ों से भर दिया — लेकिन शरीरों की मशवरत मुझ से दूर है।
19 The righteous see and they rejoice, And the innocent mocks at them:
सादिक़ यह देख कर ख़ुश होते हैं, और बे गुनाह उनकी हँसी उड़ाते हैं।
20 Surely our substance has not been cut off, And fire has consumed their excellence.
और कहते हैं, कि यक़ीनन वह जो हमारे ख़िलाफ़ उठे थे कट गए, और जो उनमें से बाक़ी रह गए थे, उनको आग ने भस्म कर दिया है।
21 Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace, Thereby your increase [is] good.
“उससे मिला रह, तो सलामत रहेगा; और इससे तेरा भला होगा।
22 Please receive a law from His mouth, And set His sayings in your heart.
मैं तेरी मिन्नत करता हूँ, कि शरी'अत को उसी की ज़बानी क़ुबूल कर और उसकी बातों को अपने दिल में रख ले।
23 If you return to the Mighty you are built up, You put iniquity far from your tents.
अगर तू क़ादिर — ए — मुतलक़ की तरफ़ फिरे तो बहाल किया जाएगा। बशर्ते कि तू नारास्ती को अपने ख़ेमों से दूर कर दे।
24 So as to set a defense on the dust, And a covering on a rock of the valleys.
तू अपने ख़ज़ाने' को मिट्टी में, और ओफ़ीर के सोने को नदियों के पत्थरों में डाल दे,
25 And the Mighty has been your defense, And silver [is] strength to you.
तब क़ादिर — ए — मुतलक़ तेरा ख़ज़ाना, और तेरे लिए बेश क़ीमत चाँदी होगा।
26 For then you delight yourself on the Mighty, And lift up your face to God,
क्यूँकि तब ही तू क़ादिर — ए — मुतलक़ में मसरूर रहेगा, और ख़ुदा की तरफ़ अपना मुँह उठाएगा।
27 You make supplication to Him, And He hears you, And you complete your vows.
तू उससे दुआ करेगा, वह तेरी सुनेगा; और तू अपनी मिन्नतें पूरी करेगा।
28 And you decree a saying, And it is established to you, And light has shone on your ways.
जिस बात को तू कहेगा, वह तेरे लिए हो जाएगी और नूर तेरी राहों को रोशन करेगा।
29 For they have made low, And you say, Lift up. And He saves the bowed down of eyes.
जब वह पस्त करेंगे, तू कहेगा, 'बुलन्दी होगी। और वह हलीम आदमी को बचाएगा।
30 He delivers the one [who is] not innocent, Indeed, he has been delivered By the cleanness of your hands.”
वह उसको भी छुड़ा लेगा, जो बेगुनाह नहीं है; हाँ वह तेरे हाथों की पाकीज़गी की वजह से छुड़ाया जाएगा।”
