< Job 22 >
1 And Eliphaz the Temanite answers and says:
Eka Elifaz ja-Teman nodwoko niya,
2 “Is a man profitable to God, Because a wise man is profitable to himself?
“Dhano adhana to konyo Nyasaye gangʼo? Kata bed ni ngʼato riek mogik, angʼo ma dokonygo Nyasaye?
3 Is it a delight to the Mighty One That you are righteous? Is it gain, That you make your ways perfect?
Ere ohala ma Jehova Nyasaye Maratego yudo kibedo ngʼat makare? Koso iparo ni ka yoregi oriere, to mano konye gangʼo?
4 Because of your reverence Does He reason [with] you? He enters with you into judgment:
“Iparo ni Nyasaye kwedi kendo kumi nikech in ngʼama kare?
5 Is your wickedness not abundant? And there is no end to your iniquities.
Donge otimoni kamano nikech timbegi kod richo misetimo ngʼeny?
6 For you take a pledge of your brother for nothing, And you strip off the garments of the naked.
Ne ikawo lep oweteni kaka gir singo miweyogi duk; eka mondo gichuli mwandu mane gikawo kuomi.
7 You do not cause the weary to drink water, And you withhold bread from the hungry.
Ne ituono joma ool pi modho kendo ne ipando chiemo ne joma odenyo,
8 As for the man of arm—he has the earth, And the accepted of face—he dwells in it.
ne itimo kamano kata obedo nine in ngʼama duongʼ, ne in gi lopi iwuon midakie, kendo ji noluori.
9 You have sent widows away empty, And the arms of the fatherless are bruised.
Ne ok ikonyo mon ma chwogi otho kendo nyithind kiye bende ne ithago.
10 Therefore snares [are] all around you, And sudden fear troubles you.
Mano emomiyo obadho oluori moketi diere kendo masira mabiro apoya ochomi.
11 Or darkness—you do not see, And abundance of waters covers you.
Mano emomiyo mudho olwori ma ok inyal neno kendo chandruok malich olwori.
12 Is God not high [in] the heavens? And see the summit of the stars, That they are high.
“Donge Nyasaye odak e polo malo? Donge en malo moyombo nyaka sulwe man malo mogik?
13 And you have said, How has God known? Does He judge through thickness?
To eka in iwacho ni, ‘Nyasaye to ongʼeyo angʼo? Ere kaka onyalo ngʼadonwa bura to boche polo oime?
14 Thick clouds [are] a secret place to Him, And He does not see, And He habitually walks [above] the circle of the heavens.
Boche mogingore oime, omiyo ok onyal nenowa seche mowuotho koni gi koni e kor polo.’
15 Do you observe the path of the age, That men of iniquity have trodden,
Idwaro siko e yore machon kuonde ma joma richo osewuothe,
16 Who have been cut down unexpectedly? A flood is poured out on their foundation.
ma gin joma ne kargi olal nono kapok ndalogi ochopo kendo ma mise margi ne ohula oywero modhigo?
17 Those saying to God, Turn aside from us, And what does the Mighty One do to them?
Negiwachone Nyasaye ni, ‘Wewa mos!’ En angʼo ma Jehova Nyasaye Maratego nyalo timonwa?
18 And He has filled their houses [with] good (And the counsel of the wicked Has been far from me).
To eka Nyasaye ema ne opongʼo utegi gi gik mabeyo, omiyo an apogora gi rieko ma joma timbegi richo ngʼado.
19 The righteous see and they rejoice, And the innocent mocks at them:
Joma kare neno masira to pod gimor amora, to joma pok otimo gimoro amora marach jarogi, kagiwacho niya,
20 Surely our substance has not been cut off, And fire has consumed their excellence.
‘Adier, wasikwa osetieki, kendo mach osewangʼo mwandugi motieko pep!’
21 Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace, Thereby your increase [is] good.
“Chiwri ni Nyasaye mondo ibed kode gi kwe, ma biro miyo idhi nyime maber.
22 Please receive a law from His mouth, And set His sayings in your heart.
Rwak puonj mowuok e dhoge kendo kan wechene e chunyi.
23 If you return to the Mighty you are built up, You put iniquity far from your tents.
Ka idok ir Jehova Nyasaye Maratego, to ibiro geri kendo. Ka igolo timbe maricho mabor gi dalani,
24 So as to set a defense on the dust, And a covering on a rock of the valleys.
kendo ka ikawo kitegi ma nengogi tek ka gima nono kendo ok ikwano dhahabu magi mabeyo mokuny Ofir ka gima gin lwendni manie rogo,
25 And the Mighty has been your defense, And silver [is] strength to you.
eka Jehova Nyasaye Maratego nobed dhahabu mari, kendo nobedni fedha maberie mogik.
26 For then you delight yourself on the Mighty, And lift up your face to God,
Adier, iniyud mor kuom Jehova Nyasaye Maratego kendo inichom wangʼi kuom Nyasaye.
27 You make supplication to Him, And He hears you, And you complete your vows.
Inilame kendo enowinji, kendo inichop singruok duto mane itimo.
28 And you decree a saying, And it is established to you, And light has shone on your ways.
Gimoro amora michano timo biro dhi maber, kendo yoreni miluwo nobed maber.
29 For they have made low, And you say, Lift up. And He saves the bowed down of eyes.
Ka ji jaro jowetegi kendo ikwayo Jehova Nyasaye ni, ‘Resgi!’ to Jehova biro reso joma ijarogo.
30 He delivers the one [who is] not innocent, Indeed, he has been delivered By the cleanness of your hands.”
Obiro resi kata ngʼama onge ketho; ngʼat ma kamano ibiro reso nikech in ngʼama kare.”
