< Job 15 >
1 And Eliphaz the Temanite answers and says:
Ipapo Erifazi muTemani akapindura akati:
2 “Does a wise man answer [with] vain knowledge? And fill his belly [with] an east wind?
“Ko, munhu akachenjera angapindura zvisina njere here, kana kuzadza dumbu rake nemhepo inopisa yokumabvazuva?
3 To reason with a word not useful? And speeches—no profit in them?
Ko, angakakavara namashoko asina maturo, kana namashoko asina basa here?
4 Indeed, you make reverence void, and diminish meditation before God.
Asi unotorwisa umwari uye unodzivisa kunamata Mwari.
5 For your mouth teaches your iniquity, And you choose the tongue of the cunning.
Chivi chako chinorunzira muromo wako; uye unotevera rurimi rwavanyengeri.
6 Your mouth declares you wicked, and not I, And your lips testify against you.
Muromo wako pachako ndiwo unokupa mhosva, kwete wangu, miromo yako pachako inokupupurira zvakaipa.
7 Are you the first man born? And were you formed before the heights?
“Ko, ndiwe munhu wakatanga kuzvarwa here? Ko, iwe wakazvarwa makomo asati avapo here?
8 Do you hear of the secret counsel of God? And withdraw wisdom to you?
Unoteererawo here panokurukurwa mazano aMwari? Unoti uchenjeri ndohwako woga kanhi?
9 What have you known, and we do not know? [What] do you understand, and it is not with us?
Chiiko chaunoziva chatisingazivi isu? Kunzwisisa kwaunako ndokweiko kwatisinawo isu?
10 Both the gray-headed And the very aged [are] among us—Greater than your father [in] days.
Vane bvudzi rakachena navatana vakwegura vari kudivi redu, varume vatochembera kupinda baba vako.
11 Are the comforts of God too few for you? And a gentle word [is] with you,
Ko, kunyaradza kwaMwari hakuna kukukwanira here, iro shoko rakataurwa kwauri zvine unyoro?
12 Why does your heart take you away? And why are your eyes high?
Ko, mwoyo wako wakurasireiko, uye meso ako anobwairireiko,
13 Do you turn your spirit against God? And have brought out words from your mouth:
zvokuti unoitira Mwari hasha ugobudisa mashoko akadai kubva mumuromo mako?
14 What [is] man that he is pure, And that he is righteous, one born of woman?
“Munhu chiiko, zvokuti angava akanaka, kana munhu akazvarwa nomukadzi, kuti angava akarurama?
15 Behold, He puts no credence in His holy ones, And the heavens have not been pure in His eyes.
Kana Mwari akasavimba navatsvene vake, kunyange dai matenga akasava akachena pamberi pake,
16 Also—surely abominable and filthy Is man drinking perverseness as water.
ko, kuzoti munhu, ane uori uye akaora, anonwa zvakaipa semvura!
17 I show you—listen to me—And this I have seen and declare,
“Nditeerere ndigokutsanangurira; rega ndikuudze zvandakaona,
18 Which the wise declare—And have not hid—from their fathers.
zvakataurwa navanhu vakachenjera, vasingavanzi chinhu chavakagamuchira kubva kumadzibaba avo,
19 To them alone was the land given, And a stranger did not pass over into their midst:
ivo voga vakapiwa nyika pasina mutorwa akapfuura napakati pavo:
20 All [the] days of the wicked he is paining himself, And few years have been laid up for the terrible one.
Murume akaipa anotambudzika nokurwadziwa pamazuva ake ose, makore ose outsinye akachengeterwa iye.
21 A fearful voice [is] in his ears, In peace a destroyer comes to him.
Maungira anotyisa anozadza nzeve dzake; pazvinenge zvaita sezvakanaka, vapambi vanomurwisa.
22 He does not believe to return from darkness, And he watches for the sword.
Anorasikirwa netariro yokupunyuka parima; munondo ndiwo waakatarirwa.
23 He is wandering for bread: Where [is] it? He has known that ready at his hand Is a day of darkness.
Anofamba-famba achiita sechokudya zvamagora; anoziva kuti zuva rerima raswedera.
24 Adversity and distress terrify him, They prevail over him as a king ready for a boaster.
Kutambudzika nokurwadziwa zvinomuzadza nokutya; zvinomukunda, samambo agadzirira kurwisa,
25 For he stretched out his hand against God, And against the Mighty he makes himself mighty.
nokuti anokungira Mwari chibhakera chake uye anozvikudza pamusoro paWamasimba Ose,
26 He runs to Him with a neck, With thick bosses of his shields.
achimhanyira kwaari asingatyi ane nhoo hobvu, yakasimba.
27 For he has covered his face with his fat, And makes vigor over [his] confidence.
“Kunyange chiso chake chakafukidzwa namafuta uye chiuno chake chakafuta nenyama,
28 And he inhabits cities cut off, houses not dwelt in, That have been ready to become heaps.
iye achagara mumaguta akaparadzwa nomudzimba dzisingagarwi nomunhu, dzimba dzokoromoka kuva marara.
29 He is not rich, nor does his wealth rise, Nor does he stretch out their continuance on earth.
Haachazovazve mupfumi uye pfuma yake haingagari, kana nepfuma yake haingazadzi nyika.
30 He does not turn aside from darkness, A flame dries up his tender branch, And he turns aside at the breath of His mouth!
Haangapunyuki rima; murazvo uchasvavisa mabukira ake, uye kufema kwomuromo waMwari kuchamurasira kure.
31 Do not let him put credence in vanity, He has been deceived, For vanity is his exchange.
Ngaarege kuzvinyengera nokuvimba nezvisina maturo, nokuti haana chaachawana pazviri.
32 It is not completed in his day, And his bending branch is not green.
Acharipirwa zvakazara nguva yake isati yasvika, uye matavi ake haangawandi.
33 He shakes off his unripe fruit as a vine, And casts off his blossom as an olive.
Achafanana nomuzambiringa wabvisirwa mazambiringa asati aibva, kufanana nomuti womuorivhi wodonhedza maruva awo.
34 For the company of the profane [is] barren, And fire has consumed tents of bribery.
Nokuti ungano yavasingadi Mwari ichashaya zvibereko, uye moto uchaparadza matende avaya vanofarira fufuro.
35 To conceive misery, and to bear iniquity, Even their heart prepares deceit.”
Vanobata mimba yokutambudzika vagozvara zvakaipa; dumbu ravo rinogadzira kunyengera.”
