< Job 15 >
1 And Eliphaz the Temanite answers and says:
Na Eliphaz el topkol ac fahk,
2 “Does a wise man answer [with] vain knowledge? And fill his belly [with] an east wind?
“Kaskas wel, Job. Kom kaskas wel!
3 To reason with a word not useful? And speeches—no profit in them?
Wangin mwet lalmwetmet ku in fahk kain kas ma kom fahk ingan, Ku sifacna loangel ke kain kaskas lalfon ingan;
4 Indeed, you make reverence void, and diminish meditation before God.
Fin ac wi nunak lom an, na wangin mwet ac sangeng sin God; Wangin pac mwet ac pre nu sel.
5 For your mouth teaches your iniquity, And you choose the tongue of the cunning.
Moul koluk lom an kalem ke luman sramsram lom ingan; Kom srike na in sifacna molikomla ke kas usrnguk lom ingan.
6 Your mouth declares you wicked, and not I, And your lips testify against you.
Tia enenu nga in akkolukye kom; Kas nukewa lom ingan sifacna fahkkomyak.
7 Are you the first man born? And were you formed before the heights?
“Mea, kom nunku mu kom pa mwet se ma isusla oemeet uh? Mea, kom oasr ke pacl se God El orala fineol ah?
8 Do you hear of the secret counsel of God? And withdraw wisdom to you?
Ya kom tuh lohng ma God El akoo Elan oru ah? Mea, lalmwetmet lun mwet uh ma lom mukena?
9 What have you known, and we do not know? [What] do you understand, and it is not with us?
Kut etu nufon ma kom etu an.
10 Both the gray-headed And the very aged [are] among us—Greater than your father [in] days.
Kut eis etauk lasr sin mwet ma fiayala aunsifa — Su isusla meet liki papa tomom ah.
11 Are the comforts of God too few for you? And a gentle word [is] with you,
“God El ke akwoye kom; efu kom ku srangesr lohng? Kut sramsram in Inen God ke pusra na wo ac kulang.
12 Why does your heart take you away? And why are your eyes high?
A kom folak ac ngetnget in kasrkusrak nu sesr.
13 Do you turn your spirit against God? And have brought out words from your mouth:
Kom kasrkusrakak sin God, ac fahk kas na upa lainul.
14 What [is] man that he is pure, And that he is righteous, one born of woman?
“Mea oasr mwet ku in arulana mutal? Ya oasr mwet suwohs ye mutun God?
15 Behold, He puts no credence in His holy ones, And the heavens have not been pure in His eyes.
Finne lipufan lun God uh, El tia pacna lulalfongelos; Aok, elos tia pac mutal ye mutun God.
16 Also—surely abominable and filthy Is man drinking perverseness as water.
Ac mwet uh nim ma koluk uh oana kof uh; Aok pwaye, mwet uh arulana fohkfok, ac wangin sripa.
17 I show you—listen to me—And this I have seen and declare,
“Inge Job, wona kom in porongeyu ke ma nga etu uh.
18 Which the wise declare—And have not hid—from their fathers.
Mwet lalmwetmet elos luti nu sik ke ma pwaye Su elos eis sin papa tumalos meet ah, Ac wanginna ma lukma elos okanla.
19 To them alone was the land given, And a stranger did not pass over into their midst:
Wangin mwetsac muta in facl selos; Pwanang wangin mwet in pwanulosla liki God.
20 All [the] days of the wicked he is paining himself, And few years have been laid up for the terrible one.
“Sie mwet koluk su akkeokye mwet saya uh Ac fah mutana in keok ac mwaiok ke lusen moul lal nufon.
21 A fearful voice [is] in his ears, In peace a destroyer comes to him.
Pusra in aksangeng ac fah woi insracl, Ac mwet pisrapasr ac fah pisre ma lal ke pacl el nunku mu el mutana in misla.
22 He does not believe to return from darkness, And he watches for the sword.
Wangin finsrak lal in kaingla liki lohsr uh, Mweyen oasr cutlass se oanna akola in unilya,
23 He is wandering for bread: Where [is] it? He has known that ready at his hand Is a day of darkness.
Ac won vulture uh soano na in kangla manol. El etu lah pacl fahsru lal uh ac lohsr;
24 Adversity and distress terrify him, They prevail over him as a king ready for a boaster.
Ongoiya oan soanel in sruokilya, Oana sie tokosra su akola nu ke mweun.
25 For he stretched out his hand against God, And against the Mighty he makes himself mighty.
“Pa inge safla lun sie mwet Su srisrngi paol nu in mutun God, Ac kena lain El su Kulana.
26 He runs to Him with a neck, With thick bosses of his shields.
Mwet se ingan el ac likkekelana Ac us mwe loang natul, ac yuyang in lain God,
27 For he has covered his face with his fat, And makes vigor over [his] confidence.
El finne arulana yohk Ac ratratla ke mwe kasrup.
28 And he inhabits cities cut off, houses not dwelt in, That have been ready to become heaps.
“Pa ingan mwet se ma tuh sruokya siti pus, Ac eisla lohm ma mwet la uh kaingla liki; Tusruktu mweun ac fah kunausla siti ac lohm inge.
29 He is not rich, nor does his wealth rise, Nor does he stretch out their continuance on earth.

30 He does not turn aside from darkness, A flame dries up his tender branch, And he turns aside at the breath of His mouth!
Ac el ac fah tia ku in kaingla liki lohsr uh. El ac fah oana soko sak Su lah kac uh firiryak ke e, Ac ros kac uh ukukla ke eng uh.
31 Do not let him put credence in vanity, He has been deceived, For vanity is his exchange.
El fin wella ac lulalfongi ke ma koluk, Na el ac fah kosrani ke ma koluk.
32 It is not completed in his day, And his bending branch is not green.
Meet liki el sun pacl in safla lal, el ac uli; El ac uli oana sie lesak, ac tia ku in sifil folfolla insroa.
33 He shakes off his unripe fruit as a vine, And casts off his blossom as an olive.
El ac fah oana soko fain ma fahko kac uh mangosr na putatla; Ac oana soko sak olive ma putatla ros kac uh.
34 For the company of the profane [is] barren, And fire has consumed tents of bribery.
Ac fah wangin fwilin tulik nutin un mwet ma tia akfulatye God, Ac e ac fah furreak lohm ma musaiyukla ke mani in eyeinse.
35 To conceive misery, and to bear iniquity, Even their heart prepares deceit.”
