< Job 15 >

1 And Eliphaz the Temanite answers and says:
And he answered Eliphaz the Temanite and he said.
2 “Does a wise man answer [with] vain knowledge? And fill his belly [with] an east wind?
¿ A wise [person] does he answer knowledge of wind so may he fill? east wind belly his.
3 To reason with a word not useful? And speeches—no profit in them?
Does he argue? with a word [which] not it is of use and words [which] not anyone profits by them.
4 Indeed, you make reverence void, and diminish meditation before God.
Also you you annul fear so you may diminish meditation before God.
5 For your mouth teaches your iniquity, And you choose the tongue of the cunning.
For it teaches iniquity your mouth your so you may choose [the] tongue of crafty [people].
6 Your mouth declares you wicked, and not I, And your lips testify against you.
It condemns as guilty you own mouth your and not I and own lips your they testify against you.
7 Are you the first man born? And were you formed before the heights?
¿ First human being were you born and before [the] hills were you brought forth?
8 Do you hear of the secret counsel of God? And withdraw wisdom to you?
¿ In [the] council of God do you listen and you may restrain? to yourself wisdom.
9 What have you known, and we do not know? [What] do you understand, and it is not with us?
What? do you know and not we know do you understand? and not [is] with us it.
10 Both the gray-headed And the very aged [are] among us—Greater than your father [in] days.
Both [the] gray haired as well as [the] aged [are] among us [those] old more than father your days.
11 Are the comforts of God too few for you? And a gentle word [is] with you,
¿ [too] little For you [are] [the] consolations of God and a word to gentleness with you.
12 Why does your heart take you away? And why are your eyes high?
Why? does it carry away you heart your and why? do they flash! eyes your.
13 Do you turn your spirit against God? And have brought out words from your mouth:
That you will turn against God spirit your and you will bring out from mouth your words.
14 What [is] man that he is pure, And that he is righteous, one born of woman?
What? [is] a person that he will be pure and that he will be righteous [one] born of a woman.
15 Behold, He puts no credence in His holy ones, And the heavens have not been pure in His eyes.
There! (in holy [ones] his *Q(K)*) not he trusts and [the] heavens not they are pure in view his.
16 Also—surely abominable and filthy Is man drinking perverseness as water.
Indeed? for [one who] is abhorrent and [one who] is corrupt a person [who] drinks like water unrighteousness.
17 I show you—listen to me—And this I have seen and declare,
I will tell you listen to me and what I have seen and I will recount.
18 Which the wise declare—And have not hid—from their fathers.
[that] which Wise [people] they have told and not they have hidden from ancestors their.
19 To them alone was the land given, And a stranger did not pass over into their midst:
To them to alone them it was given the land and not he passed a stranger in midst their.
20 All [the] days of the wicked he is paining himself, And few years have been laid up for the terrible one.
All [the] days of a wicked [person] he [is] writhing in pain and [the] number of years [which] they have been stored up for ruthless [person].
21 A fearful voice [is] in his ears, In peace a destroyer comes to him.
[the] sound of Dread [is] in ears his in peace a destroyer he will come to him.
22 He does not believe to return from darkness, And he watches for the sword.
Not he believes to return from darkness (and [is] watched *Q(k)*) he to [the] sword.
23 He is wandering for bread: Where [is] it? He has known that ready at his hand Is a day of darkness.
[is] wandering He for food where? he knows - that [has been] prepared in hand his a day of darkness.
24 Adversity and distress terrify him, They prevail over him as a king ready for a boaster.
They terrify him anxiety and distress it overpowers him like a king - ready for battle.
25 For he stretched out his hand against God, And against the Mighty he makes himself mighty.
For he has stretched out against God hand his and to [the] Almighty he behaves proudly.
26 He runs to Him with a neck, With thick bosses of his shields.
He runs against him with a neck with [the] thickness of [the] bosses of shields his.
27 For he has covered his face with his fat, And makes vigor over [his] confidence.
For he has covered face his with fat his and he has made fat on loins.
28 And he inhabits cities cut off, houses not dwelt in, That have been ready to become heaps.
And he dwelt - cities destroyed houses [which] not people will dwell themselves which they are destined for heaps of stones.
29 He is not rich, nor does his wealth rise, Nor does he stretch out their continuance on earth.
Not he will be rich and not it will endure wealth his and not it will stretch out to the land property their.
30 He does not turn aside from darkness, A flame dries up his tender branch, And he turns aside at the breath of His mouth!
Not he will depart - from darkness young shoot[s] his it will dry up a flame so he may depart by [the] breath of mouth his.
31 Do not let him put credence in vanity, He has been deceived, For vanity is his exchange.
May not he trust (in worthlessness *Q(K)*) he has been led astray for worthlessness it will be recompense his.
32 It is not completed in his day, And his bending branch is not green.
On not day his it will be completed and palm branch his not it will grow luxuriant.
33 He shakes off his unripe fruit as a vine, And casts off his blossom as an olive.
He will wrong like vine unripe grape[s] his and he will shed like olive tree blossom his.
34 For the company of the profane [is] barren, And fire has consumed tents of bribery.
For a company of [the] godless [is] barren and fire it consumes [the] tents of a bribe.
35 To conceive misery, and to bear iniquity, Even their heart prepares deceit.”
They conceive trouble and they give birth to wickedness and belly their it prepares deceit.
