< Job 12 >
1 And Job answers and says:
Jòb pran lapawòl, li di:
2 “Truly—you [are] the people, and wisdom dies with you.
-Apa nou k'ap pale pou pèp la! Mouri nou mouri, bon konprann kaba!
3 I also have a heart like you, I am not fallen more than you, And with whom is there not like these?
Men, mwen menm tou, mwen gen lespri menm jan avè nou. Mwen pa pi mal pase nou. Sa nou sot di la a, tout moun konnen l'.
4 I am a laughter to his friend: He calls to God, and He answers him, A laughter [is] the perfect righteous one.
Koulye a, menm zanmi m' ap pase m' nan rizib. Y'ap ri m', mwen menm yon moun Bondye pa gen anyen pou l' repwoche, yon moun Bondye te konn reponn lè m' rele l'.
5 A torch—despised in the thoughts of the secure Is prepared for those sliding with the feet.
Se konsa, moun ki pa nan pwoblèm meprize moun ki nan lafliksyon. Yo wè yon moun k'ap tonbe, yo ba l' bourad fè l' tonbe pi vit.
6 The tents of spoilers are at peace, And those provoking God have confidence, Into whose hand God has brought.
Piyajè yo byen trankil lakay yo. Moun k'ap fè Bondye fache yo ap viv alèz. Bondye yo se fòs ponyèt yo.
7 And yet, now ask [one of] the beasts, And it shows you, And a bird of the heavens, And it declares to you.
Manyè fè ti koze ak zannimo yo, ak zwezo yo. Yo gen anpil bagay pou yo moutre nou.
8 Or talk to the earth, and it shows you, And fishes of the sea recount to you:
Bèt k'ap trennen sou vant va ban nou leson, pwason nan lanmè va di nou sa yo konnen.
9 Who has not known in all these, That the hand of YHWH has done this?
Pa gen yonn ladan yo ki pa konnen se Bondye ki fè tout bagay ak men li.
10 In whose hand [is] the breath of every living thing, And the spirit of all flesh of man.
Bondye gen nanm tout sa ki vivan nan men li. Wi, lavi tout moun nan men li.
11 Does the ear not try words? And the palate taste food for itself?
Bèl pawòl fè plezi zòrèy menm jan bon manje gou nan bouch.
12 With the very aged [is] wisdom, And [with] length of days [is] understanding.
Yo di se vye granmoun ki gen konesans, se laj ki bay bon konprann.
13 With Him [are] wisdom and might, To Him [are] counsel and understanding.
Men, Bondye gen konesans, lèfini li gen pouvwa. Li gen bon konprann, lèfini li fè sa li vle.
14 Behold, He breaks down, and it is not built up, He shuts against a man, And it is not opened.
Lè Bondye kraze yon bagay, pesonn pa ka refè l'. Lè li mete yon moun nan prizon, pesonn pa ka lage l'.
15 Behold, He keeps in the waters, and they are dried up, And He sends them forth, And they overturn the land.
Lè li pa bay lapli, sèk tonbe sou latè. Lè li bay lapli, dlo fè dega toupatou.
16 With Him [are] strength and wisdom, His the deceived and deceiver.
Bondye gen fòs, li konn sa l'ap fè. Ni moun k'ap bay manti, ni moun k'ap pran manti, se anba ponyèt li yo ye.
17 Causing counselors to go away [as] a spoil, Indeed, He makes fools of judges.
Li fè moun k'ap bay konsèy yo pèdi tèt yo. Li fè chèf yo aji tankou moun fou.
18 He has opened the bands of kings, And He binds a girdle on their loins.
Li wete tout pouvwa nan men wa yo. Li mare yon tanga nan ren yo jete yo nan prizon.
19 Causing ministers to go away [as] a spoil And strong ones He overthrows.
Li fè prèt yo mache pye atè. Li mete gwo zotobre atè!
20 Turning aside the lip of the steadfast, And the reason of the aged He takes away.
Li fèmen bouch moun k'ap bay bon konsèy. Li fè granmoun yo depale.
21 Pouring contempt on princes, And the girdle of the mighty He made feeble.
Li fè pase grannèg yo nan betiz. Li wete pouvwa gwo chèf yo nan men yo.
22 Removing deep things out of darkness, And He brings out to light death-shade.
Li klere twou fon kote ki fè nwa a, li mete twou lanmò a aklè.
23 Magnifying the nations, and He destroys them, Spreading out the nations, and He quiets them.
Li fè nasyon yo fè pwogrè, lèfini, li fè yo deperi. Li fè yon pèp pran elan, lèfini, li fè l' disparèt.
24 Turning aside the heart Of the heads of the people of the land, And He causes them to wander In vacancy—no way!
Li fè chèf pèp yo pèdi tèt yo, li fè yo moute desann nan dezè, san yo pa konn kote yo prale.
25 They feel darkness, and not light, He causes them to wander as a drunkard.”
Y'ap tatonnen nan fènwa, y'ap titibe tankou moun sou.
