< Job 12 >
1 And Job answers and says:
Eka Ayub nodwoko kama:
2 “Truly—you [are] the people, and wisdom dies with you.
“Ayie ni un joma lich kendo angʼeyo ni ka utho to rieko bende nyalo tho kodu!
3 I also have a heart like you, I am not fallen more than you, And with whom is there not like these?
Kata kamano an bende an gi paro machal gi ma un-go; kik upar ni afuwo. Uparo ni en ngʼa ma ok ongʼeyo weche ma uwachogi?
4 I am a laughter to his friend: He calls to God, and He answers him, A laughter [is] the perfect righteous one.
“Asedoko gima inyiero e dier osiepena, kata obedo ni an ngʼama kare kendo maonge ketho; to chon an ema ne Nyasaye winjo ywakna kendo dwoka!
5 A torch—despised in the thoughts of the secure Is prepared for those sliding with the feet.
Kuom mano, joma onge gi thagruok chayo joma thagore, kendo podho mar joma thagore ok lichnigi.
6 The tents of spoilers are at peace, And those provoking God have confidence, Into whose hand God has brought.
Hembe mag jomecho onge ngʼama monjo, kendo joma jaro Nyasaye winjo maber, mana ka joma otingʼo nyasachgi e lwetgi.
7 And yet, now ask [one of] the beasts, And it shows you, And a bird of the heavens, And it declares to you.
“To penj kata mana le kendo gibiro puonji, kata winy manie kor polo, to gibiro nyisi;
8 Or talk to the earth, and it shows you, And fishes of the sea recount to you:
kata wuo gi piny, to obiro puonji, kata inyalo yiene rech manie i nam mondo gipuonji.
9 Who has not known in all these, That the hand of YHWH has done this?
Mane kuom gigi duto mokia ni lwet Jehova Nyasaye ema osetimo ma?
10 In whose hand [is] the breath of every living thing, And the spirit of all flesh of man.
Ngima gimoro amora mochwe ni e lwete kaachiel gi much dhano duto.
11 Does the ear not try words? And the palate taste food for itself?
Donge it ema pimo kit weche mana kaka lep bende pimo mit chiemo?
12 With the very aged [is] wisdom, And [with] length of days [is] understanding.
Rieko donge yudore e dier joma osedak amingʼa? Koso dak amingʼa donge kelo winjo tiend weche maber?
13 With Him [are] wisdom and might, To Him [are] counsel and understanding.
“Nyasaye e wuon rieko gi teko; ngʼado rieko gi winjo tiend weche gin mage.
14 Behold, He breaks down, and it is not built up, He shuts against a man, And it is not opened.
Gima omuko mogoyo piny ok nyal ger kendo; kendo ngʼat motweyo ok nyal gony.
15 Behold, He keeps in the waters, and they are dried up, And He sends them forth, And they overturn the land.
Ka omako pige to oro mako piny; to koweyogi thuolo to giketho piny.
16 With Him [are] strength and wisdom, His the deceived and deceiver.
En e wuon teko gi loch; joma iwuondo gi joma wuondo ji gin mage kargi duto.
17 Causing counselors to go away [as] a spoil, Indeed, He makes fools of judges.
Omiyo jongʼad rieko bedo gi wichkuot kendo omiyo jongʼad bura doko joma ofuwo.
18 He has opened the bands of kings, And He binds a girdle on their loins.
Ogolo oko osimbo ma ruodhi orwako kendo otweyo pien gugru e nungogi.
19 Causing ministers to go away [as] a spoil And strong ones He overthrows.
Omiyo jodolo bedo gi wichkuot kendo omiyo joma keregi osengirore podho.
20 Turning aside the lip of the steadfast, And the reason of the aged He takes away.
Omiyo jongʼad rieko mogen dhogi lingʼ thi kendo ogolo kuom jodongo rieko mar ngʼeyo tiend weche mopondo.
21 Pouring contempt on princes, And the girdle of the mighty He made feeble.
Ochayo ruodhi kendo omayo roteke gigegi mag lweny.
22 Removing deep things out of darkness, And He brings out to light death-shade.
Ofwenyo gik matut mopondo ei mudho kendo okelo ler kuonde motimo mudho.
23 Magnifying the nations, and He destroys them, Spreading out the nations, and He quiets them.
Omiyo ogendini bedo gi teko, to bangʼe oloyogi mi otiekgi.
24 Turning aside the heart Of the heads of the people of the land, And He causes them to wander In vacancy—no way!
Omiyo jotend piny bedo mofuwo; bangʼe to gibayo abaya ma girweny nono.
25 They feel darkness, and not light, He causes them to wander as a drunkard.”
Gidangʼni ei mudho maonge ler; kendo omiyo gikwangʼ ka joma omer.”
