< Job 11 >

1 And Zophar the Naamathite answers and says:
Epi Tsophar, Naamatit la, te reponn:
2 “Is a multitude of words not answered? And is a man of lips justified?
“Èske fòs kantite pawòl sa yo dwe pase san repons? Eske yon nonm pale anpil vin akite?
3 Your boastings make men keep silent, You scorn, and none is causing blushing!
Èske se akoz ògèy ou ke moun ta dwe rete san pale? Lè ou moke, èske nanpwan moun ki pou fè ou wont?
4 And you say, My discourse [is] pure, And I have been clean in Your eyes.
Paske ou te di ‘Lenstriksyon pa m san fot, e mwen inosan nan zye Ou.’
5 And yet, O that God had spoken! And opens His lips with you.
Men fòk Bondye ta pale e ouvri bouch Li kont ou,
6 And declares to you secrets of wisdom, for counsel has foldings. And know that God forgets of your iniquity for you.
pou montre ou sekrè a sajès! Paske sajès ki bon gen de bò. Alò, konnen byen ke Bondye pa t egzije tout sa inikite ou merite.
7 Do you find out God by searching? To perfection find out the Mighty One?
“Èske ou kab dekouvri pwofondè a Bondye? Èske ou kab twouve lizyè a Toupwisan an?
8 Heights of the heavens—what [can] you do? Deeper than Sheol—what [can] you know? (Sheol h7585)
Yo wo tankou syèl la; kisa ou kab fè? Yo pi fon ke sejou lanmò yo, kisa ou kab konnen? (Sheol h7585)
9 Its measure [is] longer than earth, and broader than the sea.
Mezi li pi long ke latè, e pi laj pase lanmè.
10 If He passes on, and shuts up, and assembles, Who then reverses it?
Si Li pase pa la, oswa fèmen la nèt, oswa konvoke yon asanble, kilès kap anpeche Li?
11 For He has known men of vanity, And He sees iniquity, And one does not consider [it]!
Paske Li konnen moun ki fò, e Li wè inikite menm san fè ankèt.
12 And empty man is bold, And man is born [as] the colt of a wild donkey.
Yon moun ensanse va vin entèlijan lè pòtre a yon bourik mawon fèt kon yon moun.
13 If you have prepared your heart, And have spread out your hands to Him,
“Si ou ta vle vin bon, dirije kè ou e lonje men ou vè Li.
14 If iniquity [is] in your hand, put it far off, And do not let perverseness dwell in your tents.
Si se inikite ki nan men ou, mete l byen lwen. Pa kite mechanste demere nan tant pa ou.
15 For then you lift up your face from blemish, And you have been firm, and do not fear.
Konsa, anverite, ou ta kab leve figi ou wo san tach. Wi, ou va fidèl nèt e pa oblije gen lakrent.
16 For you forget misery, As waters passed away you remember.
Konsa ou va bliye twoub ou a. Ou va sonje l tankou dlo ki fin pase. Se konsa ou ta kab sonje li.
17 And age rises above the noon, You fly—you are as the morning.
Lavi ou va pi klè ke midi; malgre gen fènwa a, lap tankou maten.
18 And you have trusted because there is hope, And searched—in confidence you lie down,
Ou va vin gen konfyans, akoz gen espwa. Epi ou va gade toupatou e repoze ou an sekirite.
19 And you have rested, And none is causing trembling, And many have begged [at] your face;
Ou va kouche dòmi e okenn moun pa p deranje ou. Wi, anpil moun va mande favè ou.
20 And the eyes of the wicked are consumed, And refuge has perished from them, And their hope [is] a breathing out of soul!”
Men zye a mechan yo va gate, e p ap gen chape pou yo. Pou yo, espwa va pou yo kab rann dènye souf yo.”
