Jeremiah 1
1 Words of Jeremiah son of Hilkiah, of the priests who [are] in Anathoth, in the land of Benjamin,
౧బెన్యామీను గోత్ర ప్రాంతంలోని అనాతోతులో నివసించే యాజకుల్లో ఒకడు, హిల్కీయా కొడుకు అయిన యిర్మీయా పలుకులు.
2 to whom the word of YHWH has been in the days of Josiah son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign,
౨ఆమోను కొడుకు యోషీయా యూదాకు రాజుగా ఉన్నప్పుడు అతని పాలనలో 13 వ సంవత్సరం యెహోవా వాక్కు యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమయ్యాడు.
3 and it is in the days of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the completion of the eleventh year of Zedekiah son of Josiah, king of Judah, until the expulsion of Jerusalem in the fifth month.
౩యోషీయా కొడుకు యెహోయాకీము యూదాకు రాజుగా ఉన్న రోజుల్లో, యోషీయా కొడుకు సిద్కియా యూదాను పాలించిన 11 వ సంవత్సరం అయిదో నెలలో యెరూషలేము ప్రజలు చెరలోకి వెళ్ళే వరకూ ఆ వాక్కు అతనికి ప్రత్యక్షమవుతూనే ఉన్నాడు.
4 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
౪యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై ఇలా చెప్పాడు,
5 “Before I form you in the belly, I have known you; and before you come forth from the womb I have separated you; I have made you a prophet to the nations.”
౫“నీ తల్లి గర్భంలో నీకు రూపం రాక ముందే నువ్వు నాకు తెలుసు. నువ్వు గర్భం నుండి బయట పడక మునుపే నేను నిన్ను ప్రతిష్ఠించాను. జనాలకు నిన్ను ప్రవక్తగా నియమించాను.”
6 And I say, “Aah! Lord YHWH! Behold, I have not known—to speak, for I [am] a youth.”
౬అందుకు నేను “అయ్యో, యెహోవా ప్రభూ, నేను చిన్న పిల్లవాణ్ణి కదా, నాకు మాట్లాడడం చేత కాదు” అన్నాను.
7 And YHWH says to me, “Do not say, I [am] a youth, for to all to whom I send you—go, and all that I command you—speak.
౭అయితే యెహోవా నాతో ఇలా అన్నాడు. “నేను పిల్లవాణ్ణి అనవద్దు. నేను నిన్ను పంపేవారందరి దగ్గరకీ నువ్వు వెళ్ళాలి. నీకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన సంగతులన్నీ వారితో చెప్పాలి.
8 Do not be afraid of their faces, for I [am] with you to deliver you,” a declaration of YHWH.
౮వారికి భయపడవద్దు. నిన్ను విడిపించడానికి నేను నీతో ఉన్నాను. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.”
9 And YHWH puts forth His hand, and strikes against my mouth, and YHWH says to me, “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.
౯అప్పుడు యెహోవా తన చేత్తో నా నోరు తాకి ఇలా అన్నాడు. “ఇదిగో, నేను నా మాటలు నీ నోటిలో ఉంచాను.
10 See, I have charged you this day concerning the nations, and concerning the kingdoms, to pluck up, and to break down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.”
౧౦పెళ్లగించడానికీ విరగగొట్టడానికీ నశింపజేయడానికీ కూలదోయడానికీ కట్టడానికీ నాటడానికీ నేను ఈ రోజు జనాల మీదా రాజ్యాల మీదా నిన్ను నియమించాను.”
11 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying, “What are you seeing, Jeremiah?” And I say, “I am seeing a rod of an almond tree.”
౧౧యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు కనబడి “యిర్మీయా, నీకేం కనబడుతున్నది?” అని అడిగాడు. అందుకు నేను “బాదం చెట్టు కొమ్మ కనబడుతున్నది” అన్నాను.
12 And YHWH says to me, “You have seen well: for I am watching over My word to do it.”
౧౨అప్పుడు యెహోవా “నువ్వు బాగా కనిపెట్టావు. నేను చెప్పిన మాటలు నెరవేర్చడానికి నాకు ఆత్రుతగా ఉంది” అన్నాడు.
13 And there is a word of YHWH to me a second time, saying, “What are you seeing?” And I say, “I am seeing a blown pot, and its face [is] from the north.”
౧౩రెండోసారి యెహోవా వాక్కు నాకు కనబడి “నీకేం కనబడుతున్నది?” అని అడగ్గా, నేను “మరుగుతున్న బాన ఒకటి నాకు కనబడుతున్నది. అది ఉత్తరం వైపుకు తిరిగి ఉంది” అన్నాను.
14 And YHWH says to me, “From the north the evil is loosed against all inhabitants of the land.
౧౪అందుకు యెహోవా ఇలా చెప్పాడు. “ఉత్తరం నుండి ఈ దేశప్రజల మీదికి వినాశనం రాబోతున్నది.
15 For behold, I am calling for all families of the kingdoms of the north,” a declaration of YHWH, “And they have come, and each put his throne at the opening of the gates of Jerusalem, and by its walls all around, and by all cities of Judah.
౧౫ఇదిగో, నేను ఉత్తర దిక్కున ఉన్న రాజ్యాల జాతులన్నిటినీ పిలుస్తాను. వారిలో ప్రతివాడూ యెరూషలేము ద్వారాల్లో, యెరూషలేము చుట్టూ ఉన్న ప్రాకారాలన్నిటికీ యూదా పట్టణాలన్నిటికీ ఎదురుగా తమ ఆసనాలు వేసుకుని కూర్చుంటారు.
16 And I have spoken My judgments with them concerning all their evil, in that they have forsaken Me, and make incense to other gods, and bow themselves to the works of their own hands.
౧౬అప్పుడు యెరూషలేము ప్రజలు నన్ను విడిచి అన్యదేవుళ్ళకు ధూపం వేసి, తమ స్వంత చేతులతో చేసిన విగ్రహాలను పూజించి చేసిన చెడుతనాన్ని బట్టి నేను వారిపై నా తీర్పులు ప్రకటిస్తాను.”
17 And you, you gird up your loins, and have arisen, and spoken to them all that I command you: do not be frightened because of them, lest I frighten you before them.
౧౭“కాబట్టి లేచి నిలబడు! నేను నీకాజ్ఞాపించినదంతా వారికి ప్రకటించు. నువ్వు వారికి భయపడ వద్దు. లేదా, నేనే నీకు వారంటే భయం పుట్టిస్తాను.
18 And I, behold, have given you this day for a fortified city, and for an iron pillar, and for bronze walls over all the land, to the kings of Judah, to its heads, to its priests, and to the people of the land;
౧౮యూదా రాజుల దగ్గరికి, అధికారుల దగ్గరికి, యాజకుల దగ్గరికి, దేశ ప్రజల దగ్గరికి, ఈ దేశంలో నీవెక్కడికి పోయినా, నిన్ను ఒక ప్రాకారం ఉన్న పట్టణంగా, ఇనప స్తంభంగా, ఇత్తడి గోడగా ఉండేలా ఈ రోజు నియమించాను.
19 and they have fought against you, and they do not prevail against you; for I [am] with you,” a declaration of YHWH, “to deliver you.”
౧౯వారు నీతో యుద్ధం చేస్తారు గాని నిన్ను కాపాడడానికి నేను నీతో ఉన్నాను కాబట్టి వారు నీపై విజయం పొందలేరు. ఇదే యెహోవా వాక్కు.”
