< Jeremiah 45 >
1 The word that Jeremiah the prophet has spoken to Baruch son of Neriah, in his writing these words on a scroll from the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,
Mesaj ke Jérémie, pwofèt la, te pale a Baruc, fis a Nérija, lè l te fin ekri pawòl sila yo nan yon liv selon dikte Jérémie, nan katriyèm ane Jojakim, fis a Josias, wa Juda a, lè l te di:
2 “Thus said YHWH, God of Israel, concerning you, O Baruch:
Konsa pale SENYÈ a, Bondye Israël la a ou menm, O Baruc:
3 You have said, Woe to me, now, for YHWH has added sorrow to my pain, I have been wearied with my sighing, and I have not found rest.
‘Ou te di: “Ah! Malè a mwen menm! Paske SENYÈ a te mete tristès nan doulè m; mwen fatige ak plent mwen yo e mwen pa jwenn repo.’”
4 Thus you say to him, Thus said YHWH: Behold, that which I have built I am throwing down, and that which I have planted I am plucking up, even the whole land itself.
“Se konsa ou dwe pale li, ‘Konsa pale SENYÈ a: “Gade byen, sa ke M te bati a, Mwen prèt pou demoli li, e sa ke M te plante a, Mwen prèt pou rache li; sa vle di, tout peyi a.”
5 And you seek for great things—do not seek, for behold, I am bringing calamity on all flesh—a declaration of YHWH—and I have given your life to you for a spoil, in all places to where you go.”
Men ou menm, èske w ap chache gwo bagay pou ou menm? Pa chache, paske gade byen, Mwen va mennen dezas sou tout chè,’ deklare SENYÈ a: “Men Mwen va kite ou chape ak lavi ou a, nenpòt kote ou ale.”
