Jeremiah 45

1 The word that Jeremiah the prophet has spoken to Baruch son of Neriah, in his writing these words on a scroll from the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,

Das Wort, welches der Prophet Jeremia zu Baruk, dem Sohne Nerijas, redete, als er diese Worte aus dem Munde Jeremias in ein Buch schrieb, im vierten Jahre Jojakims, des Sohnes Josias, des Königs von Juda [S. Kap. 36,] indem er sprach:

2 “Thus said YHWH, God of Israel, concerning you, O Baruch:

So spricht Jehova, der Gott Israels, von dir, Baruk:

3 You have said, Woe to me, now, for YHWH has added sorrow to my pain, I have been wearied with my sighing, and I have not found rest.

Du sprichst: Wehe mir! denn Jehova hat Kummer zu meinem Schmerze gefügt; ich bin müde von meinem Seufzen, und Ruhe finde ich nicht.

4 Thus you say to him, Thus said YHWH: Behold, that which I have built I am throwing down, and that which I have planted I am plucking up, even the whole land itself.

So sollst du zu ihm sagen: So spricht Jehova: Siehe, was ich gebaut habe, breche ich ab; und was ich gepflanzt habe, reiße ich aus, und zwar das ganze Land.

5 And you seek for great things—do not seek, for behold, I am bringing calamity on all flesh—a declaration of YHWH—and I have given your life to you for a spoil, in all places to where you go.”

Und du, du trachtest nach großen Dingen für dich? Trachte nicht danach! denn siehe, ich bringe Unglück über alles Fleisch, spricht Jehova; aber ich gebe dir deine Seele zur Beute an allen Orten, wohin du ziehen wirst.
