Jeremiah 43
1 And it comes to pass, when Jeremiah finishes speaking to all the people all the words of their God YHWH, with which their God YHWH has sent him to them—all these words—
Jeremias teilte dem gesamten Volk all diese Worte von dem Herrn, ihrem Gotte, mit; denn der Herr, ihr Gott, hatte ihn damit an sie gesandt. Er teilte all diese Worte bis zu Ende mit.
2 that Azariah son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan son of Kareah, and all the proud men, speak to Jeremiah, saying, “You are speaking falsehood; our God YHWH has not sent you to say, Do not enter Egypt to sojourn there;
Da sprach Azarja, Maasejas Sohn, und Karechs Sohn, Jochanan, und all die Männer sprachen, arg sich überschreiend, zu Jeremias: "Nicht wahr ist, was du sprichst! Dich schickt der Herr, unser Gott, nicht mit der Weisung her: 'Ihr sollt nicht nach Ägypten zieh'n, um dort als Gäste zu verweilen!'
3 for Baruch son of Neriah is moving you against us, in order to give us up into the hand of the Chaldeans, to put us to death, and to remove us to Babylon.”
Nein, Baruch, des Neria Sohn, reizt gegen uns dich auf. Er will uns den Chaldäern überliefern, daß man uns töte oder uns nach Babel bringe."
4 And Johanan son of Kareah, and all the heads of the forces, and all the people, have not listened to the voice of YHWH, to dwell in the land of Judah;
So hörten denn Jochanan, Karechs Sohn, und alle Heeresobersten, sowie das ganze Volk nicht des Herren Stimme, daß sie im Judaland geblieben wären.
5 and Johanan son of Kareah, and all the heads of the forces, take all the remnant of Judah who have turned from all the nations to where they were driven to sojourn in the land of Judah,
Vielmehr nahm Karechs Sohn, Jochanan, und alle Heeresobersten den ganzen Rest von Juda; er war zurückgekehrt aus all den Völkern, wohin sie sich zerstreut, um in dem Judaland zu bleiben,
6 the men, and the women, and the infant, and the daughters of the king, and every person that Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, had left with Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch son of Neriah,
die Männer, Weiber, Kinder, die Königstöchter und alle anderen Personen. Sie hatte Nebuzaradan, der Leibwache Oberster, bei Achikams Sohn und Saphans Enkel, Gedalja, zurückgelassen, auch den Propheten Jeremias, und Nerias Sohn, Baruch.
7 and they enter the land of Egypt, for they have not listened to the voice of YHWH, and they come as far as Tahpanhes.
So zogen sie ins Land Ägypten, im Ungehorsam gegen des Herren Stimme. Sie kamen bis Tachpanches.
8 And there is a word of YHWH to Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,
Darauf erging das Wort des Herrn an Jeremias zu Tachpanches, also lautend:
9 “Take great stones in your hand, and you have hidden them in the clay in the brick-kiln, that [is] at the opening of the house of Pharaoh in Tahpanhes, before the eyes of the men of Judah,
"In deine Hand nimm große Steine! Vergrabe sie im Boden, wohl bedeckt, am Eingang zu des Pharaos Haus dort zu Tachpanches in Gegenwart jüdischer Männer!
10 and you have said to them, Thus said YHWH of Hosts, God of Israel: Behold, I am sending, and I have taken Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and I have set his throne above these stones that I have hid, and he has stretched out his pavilion over them,
Und sprich zu ihnen: 'So spricht der Heeresscharen Herr, Gott Israels: Ich hole her den Babelkönig, Nebukadrezar, meinen Knecht, und stelle seinen Thron auf diese Steine, die ich allhier versenken ließ. Er spannt sein Teppichzelt darüber.
11 and he has come, and struck the land of Egypt—those who [are] for death to death, and those who [are] for captivity to captivity, and those who [are] for the sword to the sword.
Er kommt und schlägt Ägypterland. Wer für die Pest bestimmt, verfällt der Pest, dem Kerker, wer dem Kerker, dem Schwerte, wer dem Schwerte zugewiesen.
12 And I have kindled a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt, and it has burned them, and he has taken them captive, and covered himself with the land of Egypt, as the shepherd covers himself with his garment, and he has gone forth there in peace;
Ich lasse Feuer an die Häuser der ägyptischen Götter legen, und dies verbrennt sie samt den Tempeln. So säubert er das Land Ägypten, wie sein Gewand der Hirte säubert, und unversehrt zieht er von dannen.
13 and he has broken the standing pillars of the house of the sun, that [is] in the land of Egypt, and he burns the houses of the gods of Egypt with fire.”
Und dann zertrümmert er des Sonnenhauses Obelisken in Ägypten; die Häuser der ägyptischen Götter brennt er nieder.'"
