Jeremiah 34
1 The word that has been to Jeremiah from YHWH—and Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and all his force, and all kingdoms of the land of the dominion of his hand, and all the peoples are fighting against Jerusalem, and against all its cities—saying:
Das Wort, das von Jehovah geschah an Jirmejahu, während Nebuchadnezzar, der König Babels, und all seine Streitmacht und alle Königreiche der Erde unter der Herrschaft seiner Hand, und alle Völker stritten wider Jerusalem und wider alle seine Städte, sprechend:
2 “Thus said YHWH, God of Israel: Go, and you have spoken to Zedekiah king of Judah, and have said to him, Thus said YHWH: Behold, I am giving this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he has burned it with fire,
So spricht Jehovah, der Gott Israels: Gehe hin und sprich zu Zidkijahu, dem König Jehudahs, und sprich zu ihm: So spricht Jehovah: Siehe, Ich gebe diese Stadt in die Hand des Königs von Babel, daß er sie mit Feuer verbrenne.
3 and you do not escape out of his hand, for you are certainly caught, and you are given into his hand, and your eyes see the eyes of the king of Babylon, and his mouth speaks with your mouth, and you enter Babylon.
Und du wirst nicht aus seiner Hand entrinnen, sondern erfaßt und in seine Hand gegeben werden, und deine Augen sollen die Augen des Königs von Babel sehen, und sein Mund soll zu deinem Munde reden, und du sollst gen Babel kommen.
4 Only, hear a word of YHWH, O Zedekiah king of Judah—thus said YHWH to you: You do not die by sword,
Höre nur das Wort Jehovahs, Zidkijahu, König von Jehudah! So spricht Jehovah über dich: Du sollst nicht sterben durch das Schwert;
5 you die in peace, and with the burnings of your fathers, the former kings who have been before you, so they make a burning for you; and, Oh, lord, they lament for you, for the word I have spoken—a declaration of YHWH.”
In Frieden sollst du sterben und mit dem Brande deiner Väter, den früheren Königen, die vor dir waren, so werden sie auch dir einen verbrennen und um dich klagen: Wehe, Herr! Denn ein Wort habe Ich geredet, spricht Jehovah.
6 And Jeremiah the prophet speaks all these words to Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem,
Und Jirmejahu, der Prophet, redete zu Zidkijahu, dem König Judahs, alle diese Worte in Jerusalem;
7 and the forces of the king of Babylon are fighting against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that are left—against Lachish, and against Azekah, for these have been left among the cities of Judah, cities of fortresses.
Und die Streitmacht des Königs von Babel stritt wider Jerusalem und wider alle die übrigen Städte Jehudahs, wider Lachisch und wider Asekah, denn sie waren als feste Städte verblieben unter Jehudahs Städten.
8 The word that has been to Jeremiah from YHWH, after the making of a covenant by King Zedekiah with all the people who [are] in Jerusalem, to proclaim liberty to them,
Das Wort, das an Jirmejahu von Jehovah geschah, nachdem der König Zidkijahu mit allem Volk in Jerusalem einen Bund geschlossen, daß sie Freilassung wollten ausrufen:
9 to each send out his manservant, and each his maidservant—the Hebrew and the Hebrewess—free, so as not to lay service on them—on any Jew, a brother, a man;
Daß jeder Mann seinen Knecht und jeder Mann seine Dienstmagd, Hebräer und Hebräerin, frei entsende, so daß kein Mann unter ihnen einen Juden, seinen Bruder, knechte.
10 and all the heads listen, and all the people who have come into the covenant to each send forth his manservant and each his maidservant free, so as not to lay service on them anymore, indeed, they listen, and send them away;
Und alle Obersten und alles Volk, so den Bund eingegangen waren, gehorchten, daß jeder Mann seinen Knecht und jeder Mann seine Dienstmagd frei entsandte, daß sie sie nicht mehr knechteten. Und sie gehorchten und entsandten sie.
11 and they turn afterward, and cause the menservants and the maidservants to return, whom they had sent forth free, and they subdue them for menservants and for maidservants.
Und hernach wandten sie sich zurück und brachten die Knechte und die Dienstmägde, die sie frei entsandt hatten, zurück; und unterwarfen sie sich zu Knechten und Dienstmägden.
12 And there is a word of YHWH to Jeremiah from YHWH, saying,
Und es geschah das Wort Jehovahs an Jirmejahu von Jehovah, sprechend:
13 “Thus said YHWH, God of Israel: I made a covenant with your fathers in the day of My bringing them forth from the land of Egypt, from a house of servants, saying,
So spricht Jehovah, der Gott Israels: Ich hatte mit euren Vätern einen Bund geschlossen am Tage, da Ich sie herausbrachte aus dem Lande Ägypten, aus dem Hause der Knechte, und gesprochen:
14 At the end of seven years you each send forth his brother, the Hebrew, who is sold to you, and has served you six years, indeed, you have sent him forth from you free: and your fathers did not listen to Me, nor inclined their ear.
Am Ende von sieben Jahren sollt ihr entsenden jeder Mann seinen Bruder, den Hebräer, der sich dir verkauft hat und dir sechs Jahre diente, und ihn frei von dir entsenden; aber eure Väter hörten nicht auf Mich und neigten nicht ihr Ohr.
15 And today you turn back and you do that which is right in My eyes, to each proclaim liberty to his neighbor, and you make a covenant before Me in the house over which My Name is called.
Und ihr waret diesen Tag zurückgekehrt, und hattet getan, was recht in Meinen Augen ist, daß ihr Freilassung jeder Mann seinem Genossen ausrufen ließet, und vor Mir in dem Hause, über dem Mein Name genannt wird, einen Bund geschlossen habt.
16 And you turn back, and defile My Name, and you each cause his manservant and each his maidservant, whom he had sent forth free (at their pleasure), to return, and you subdue them to be for menservants and for maidservants to you.”
Ihr aber seid zurückgekehrt und habt entweiht Meinen Namen, und habt jeder Mann seinen Knecht und jeder Mann seine Dienstmagd, die ihr frei entsandt hattet, nach ihrem Wunsche, zu euch zurückgebracht und euch unterworfen, daß sie euch Knechte und Dienstmägde wären.
17 Therefore, thus said YHWH: “You have not listened to Me to proclaim freedom, each to his brother, and each to his neighbor; behold, I am proclaiming to you liberty,” a declaration of YHWH, “to the sword, to the pestilence, and to the famine, and I have given you for a trembling to all kingdoms of the earth.
Darum spricht also Jehovah: Ihr habt nicht auf Mich gehört, daß ihr Freilassung, jeder Mann für seinen Bruder und jeder Mann für seinen Genossen, ließet ausrufen. Siehe, Ich rufe euch Freilassung aus, spricht Jehovah, für das Schwert, für Pest und für Hungersnot; und mache euch zum Schrecknis für alle Königreiche der Erde.
18 And I have given the men who are transgressing My covenant, who have not established the words of the covenant that they have made before Me, by the calf, that they have cut in two, and pass through between its pieces—
Und mache die Männer, die überschritten Meinen Bund, weil sie nicht bestätigten die Worte des Bundes, den sie vor Mir geschlossen, wie das Kalb, das sie entzweischnitten und zwischen seinen Stücken durchgegangen.
19 heads of Judah, and heads of Jerusalem, the officers, and the priests, and all the people of the land who had passed through between the pieces of the calf—
Die Obersten Jehudahs und die Obersten Jerusalems, die Verschnittenen und die Priester und alles Volk des Landes, die zwischen des Kalbes Stücken durchgegangen,
20 indeed, I have given them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those seeking their soul, and their carcass has been for food to the bird of the heavens, and to the beast of the earth.
Und gebe sie in ihrer Feinde Hand und in die Hand derer, die ihnen nach der Seele trachten, daß ihre Leichname den Vögeln des Himmels und dem Getier der Erde zur Speise werden.
21 And I give Zedekiah king of Judah and his heads into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those seeking their soul, and into the hand of the forces of the king of Babylon that are going up from off you.
Und Zidkijahu, Jehudahs König, und seine Obersten gebe Ich in ihrer Feinde Hand und in die Hand derer, die ihnen nach der Seele trachten und in die Hand der Streitmacht des Königs von Babel, die von euch hinaufgezogen ist.
22 Behold, I am commanding,” a declaration of YHWH, “and have brought them back to this city, and they have fought against it, and captured it, and burned it with fire, and I make the cities of Judah a desolation—without inhabitant.”
Siehe, Ich gebiete, spricht Jehovah, und bringe sie zurück zu dieser Stadt, auf daß sie streiten wider sie und sie erobern und mit Feuer verbrennen, und Jehudahs Städte gebe Ich zur Verwüstung, daß niemand darinnen wohnt.
