Jeremiah 32
1 The word that has been to Jeremiah from YHWH in the tenth year of Zedekiah king of Judah—it [is] the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar—
Năm thứ mười về đời vua Sê-đê-kia nước Giu-đa, có lời Đức Giê-hô-va phán cho Giê-rê-mi. Aáy là năm thứ mười tám về đời vua Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa.
2 And then the forces of the king of Babylon are laying siege against Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet has been shut up in the court of the prison that [is] in the house of the king of Judah,
Bấy giờ đạo binh của vua Ba-by-lôn vây thành Giê-ru-sa-lem; còn tiên tri Giê-rê-mi thì đã bị giam nơi hành lang lính canh trong cung vua Giu-đa.
3 where Zedekiah king of Judah has shut him up, saying, “Why are you prophesying, saying, Thus said YHWH: Behold, I am giving this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he has captured it;
Vì Sê-đê-kia, vua Giu-đa, đã giam người, nói rằng: Làm sao ngươi nói tiên tri rằng: Đức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Nầy, ta sẽ phó thành nầy vào tay vua Ba-by-lôn, người sẽ chiếm lấy;
4 and Zedekiah king of Judah does not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but is certainly given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and his mouth has spoken with his mouth, and his eyes see his eyes,
Sê-đê-kia, vua Giu-đa, sẽ chẳng tránh khỏi tay người Canh-đê, nhưng chắc sẽ bị nộp trong tay vua Ba-by-lôn, sẽ nói cùng vua ấy miệng đối miệng, mắt nhìn mắt;
5 and he leads Zedekiah [to] Babylon, and there he is until My inspecting him—a declaration of YHWH—because you fight with the Chaldeans, you do not prosper.”
vua ấy sẽ bắt Sê-đê-kia về Ba-by-lôn, người sẽ ở đó cho đến chừng nào ta thăm viếng nó, Đức Giê-hô-va phán vậy; các ngươi dầu đánh với người Canh-đê sẽ chẳng được may mắn?
6 And Jeremiah says, “A word of YHWH has been to me, saying,
Giê-rê-mi nói: Có lời của Đức Giê-hô-va phán cho tôi rằng:
7 Behold, Hanameel son of Shallum, your uncle, is coming to you, saying, Buy my field that [is] in Anathoth for yourself, for the right of redemption [is] yours to buy.”
Nầy, Ha-na-mê-ên, con trai Sa-lum chú ngươi, sẽ đến nơi ngươi mà nói rằng: Hãy mua ruộng của ta tại A-na-tốt; vì ngươi có phép chuộc để mua lấy.
8 And Hanameel, my uncle’s son, comes to me, according to the word of YHWH, to the court of the prison, and says to me, “Please buy my field that [is] in Anathoth, that [is] in the land of Benjamin, for the right of possession [is] yours, and redemption yours—buy [it] for yourself.” And I know that it [is] the word of YHWH,
Ha-na-mê-ên, con trai chú tôi, bèn theo lời Đức Giê-hô-va, đến thăm tôi trong hành lang lính canh, và nói rằng: Ta xin ngươi hãy mua ruộng của ta ở A-na-tốt, trong đất Bên-gia-min, vì ngươi có phép hưởng gia tài và chuộc lấy, khá mua lấy cho mình. Bấy giờ tôi nhìn biết rằng ấy là lời của Đức Giê-hô-va.
9 and I buy the field that [is] in Anathoth from Hanameel, my uncle’s son, and I weigh the money to him—seventeen shekels of silver.
Vậy tôi mua ruộng ở A-na-tốt của Ha-na-mê-ên, con trai chú tôi, và tôi cân mười bảy siếc-lơ bạc cho người.
10 And I write in a scroll, and seal, and cause witnesses to testify, and weigh the silver in balances;
Tôi viết khế và niêm phong, mời người làm chứng và cân bạc trong cái cân.
11 and I take the purchase scroll, the sealed one, according to law and custom, and the open one;
Tôi liền lấy tờ khế bán, cả khế đã niêm phong theo lề luật và thói tục, và khế để ngỏ nữa.
12 and I give the purchase scroll to Baruch son of Neriah, son of Maaseiah, before the eyes of Hanameel, my uncle’s son, and before the eyes of the witnesses, those writing in the purchase scroll, before the eyes of all the Jews who are sitting in the court of the prison.
Tôi trao khế mua cho Ba-rúc, con trai Nê-ri-gia, cháu Ma-a-sê-gia, trước mặt Ha-na-mê-ên, con trai chú tôi, và trước mặt những kẻ làm chứng có ký tên vào khế nữa, cũng ở trước mặt mọi người Giu-đa đang ngồi trong hành lang lính canh.
13 And I charge Baruch before their eyes, saying,
Đoạn, tại trước mặt họ tôi dặn Ba-rúc rằng:
14 “Thus said YHWH of Hosts, God of Israel: Take these scrolls, this purchase scroll, both the sealed one and the open one, and you have put them in an earthen vessel, that they may remain many days.
Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, phán như vầy: Hãy lấy những tờ khế nầy, khế mua niêm phong, và khế để ngỏ, và để trong một cái bình đất, đặng những tờ khế ấy còn được lâu ngày.
15 For thus said YHWH of Hosts, God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards are bought in this land again.”
Vì Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, phán như vầy: Người ta sẽ còn mua nhà, ruộng, và vườn nho trong đất nầy.
16 And I pray to YHWH after my giving the purchase scroll to Baruch son of Neriah, saying,
Khi tôi đã trao tờ khế mua cho Ba-rúc, con trai Nê-ri-gia, thì tôi cầu nguyện cùng Đức Giê-hô-va rằng:
17 “Aah! Lord YHWH, behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power, and by Your outstretched arm; there is nothing too wonderful for You:
Oâi! Hỡi Chúa Giê-hô-va! Chính Ngài đã dùng quyền phép lớn và cánh tay giơ ra mà làm nên trời và đất; chẳng có sự gì là khó quá cho Ngài cả.
18 doing kindness to thousands, and repaying iniquity of fathers into the bosom of their sons after them; God, the great, the mighty, YHWH of Hosts [is] His Name;
Ngài to sự thương xót ra cho muôn vàn, báo trả sự gian ác ông cha vào mình con cháu nối sau. Ngài là Đức Chúa Trời lớn, là Đấng toàn năng, danh Ngài là Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân.
19 great in counsel, and mighty in act, in that Your eyes are open on all the ways of the sons of Adam, to give to each according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings;
Mưu mô Ngài lớn lao, và công việc thì có phép tắc. Mắt Ngài mở soi trên mọi đường lối con trai loài người, đặng báo cho mỗi người theo đường lối nó, và theo quả của việc làm.
20 in that you have done signs and wonders in the land of Egypt to this day, and in Israel, and among men, and You make for Yourself a name as [at] this day.
Ngài đã làm nên những dấu lại sự lạ trong đất Ê-díp-tô, cho đến ngày nay, trong Y-sơ-ra-ên cũng như trong những người khác, Ngài đã được danh tiếng như mình hiện có.
21 And You bring forth Your people Israel from the land of Egypt, with signs and with wonders, and by a strong hand, and by an outstretched arm, and by great fear,
Ngài đã dùng dấu lạ, sự lạ, tay mạnh, và cánh tay giơ ra cùng sự kinh khiếp lớn mà đem dân Y-sơ-ra-ên mình ra khỏi đất Ê-díp-tô.
22 and you give to them this land that you swore to their fathers to give to them, a land flowing with milk and honey,
Ngài ban cho họ đất nầy, là đất đượm sữa và mật, mà Ngài đã thề ban cho tổ phụ họ xưa kia.
23 and they come in, and possess it, and they have not listened to Your voice, and have not walked in Your law, all that which You laid a charge on them to do they have not done, and You proclaim all this calamity [to] them.
Họ đã vào lấy đất nầy làm sản nghiệp, nhưng không vâng theo tiếng Ngài, không bước theo luật Ngài, chẳng hề làm một điều gì về mọi sự mà Ngài đã dặn phải làm. Vì vậy Ngài đã giáng mọi tai vạ nầy trên họ.
24 Behold, the [siege] mounds have come to the city to capture it, and the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans who are fighting against it, because of the sword, and the famine, and the pestilence; and that which You have spoken has come to pass, and behold, You are seeing.
Nầy, những đồn lũy! chúng nó đã bước tới thành, để chiếm lấy nó. Vì cớ gươm dao, đói kém, ôn dịch, nên thành bị nộp trong tay người Canh-đê đang tranh chiến với nó. Điều Ngài phán thì đã xảy đến, và nầy, Ngài thấy!
25 Yet You have said to me, O Lord YHWH, Buy the field for yourself with money, and cause witnesses to testify—and the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans!”
Hỡi Chúa Giê-hô-va, Ngài đã phán cùng tôi rằng: Hãy dùng giá bạc mua ruộng nầy, và mời những người làm chứng. Mà kìa, thành đã nộp trong tay người Canh-đê!
26 And the word of YHWH is to Jeremiah, saying,
Có lời Đức Giê-hô-va được phán cho Giê-rê-mi như vầy:
27 “Behold, I [am] YHWH, God of all flesh: is anything too wonderful for Me?”
Nầy, ta là Giê-hô-va, Đức Chúa Trời của mọi xác thịt; có sự gì khó quá cho ta chăng?
28 Therefore, thus said YHWH: “Behold, I am giving this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he has captured it.
Vậy nên, Đức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Nầy, ta sẽ phó thành nầy vào tay người Canh-đê, vào tay Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, vua Ba-by-lôn, người sẽ chiếm lấy.
29 And the Chaldeans who are fighting against this city have come in, and they have set this city on fire, and have burned it—and the houses on whose roofs they made incense to Ba‘al, and poured out drink-offerings to other gods, so as to provoke Me to anger.
Những người Canh-đê đang đánh thành nầy thì sẽ đến, đặt lửa và đốt đi, đốt luôn những nhà mà người ta dâng hương cho Ba-anh tại trên mái, và làm lễ quán cho các thần khác, đặng chọc giận ta.
30 For the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have been doing only evil in My eyes from their youth; for the sons of Israel are surely provoking Me with the work of their hands,” a declaration of YHWH.
Vả, con cái Y-sơ-ra-ên và con cái Giu-đa, từ thuở còn trẻ, chỉ làm điều dữ trước mặt ta; vì con cái Y-sơ-ra-ên chỉ lấy việc làm của tay mình mà chọc giận ta, Đức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.
31 “For this city has been a cause of My anger and a cause of My fury, even from the day that they built it, and to this day—to turn it aside from before My face,
Thành nầy đã làm cớ cho ta giận và tức, từ ngày đã xây lên cho đến ngày nay. Vậy nên, ta muốn cất nó đi khỏi trước mặt ta,
32 because of all the evil of the sons of Israel, and of the sons of Judah that they have done, so as to provoke Me—they, their kings, their heads, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
vì cớ mọi điều ác mà con cái Y-sơ-ra-ên và con cái Giu-đa đã làm đặng chọc giận ta, chúng nó, vua, quan trưởng, thầy tế lễ, kẻ tiên tri chúng nó, người Giu-đa và dân cư Giê-ru-sa-lem nữa.
33 And they turn the neck to Me, and not the face, and teaching them, rising early and teaching, and they are not listening to accept instruction.
Chúng nó không xây mặt lại ta, trở xây lưng lại. Dầu ta đã dạy chúng nó, dậy sớm mà răn bảo, nhưng chúng nó không nghe, chẳng nhận sự dạy dỗ.
34 And they set their abominations in the house over which My Name is called, so as to defile it.
Chúng nó đã để những vật gớm ghiếc trong nhà được xưng bởi danh ta, để làm cho ô uế.
35 And they build the high places of Ba‘al that [are] in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come up on My heart to do this abomination, so as to cause Judah to sin.
Chúng nó đã xây các nơi cao của Ba-anh trong nơi trũng con trai Hi-nôm, khiến con trai con gái mình qua lửa, dâng cho Mô-lóc, là điều ta không truyền dạy; ta chẳng hề nghĩ đến rằng chúng nó có thể phạm một sự gớm ghiếc dường ấy mà làm cho Giu-đa phạm tội.
36 And now, therefore, thus said YHWH, God of Israel, concerning this city, of which you are saying, It has been given into the hand of the king of Babylon by sword, and by famine, and by pestilence:
Nên bấy giờ, về thành nầy, mà các ngươi nói rằng nó đã phó trong tay vua Ba-by-lôn bởi gươm dao, đói kém, ôn dịch, thì Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời của Y-sơ-ra-ên, phán như vầy:
37 Behold, I am gathering them out of all the lands to where I have driven them in My anger, and in My fury, and in great wrath, and I have brought them back to this place, and have caused them to dwell confidently;
Nầy, ta sẽ thâu nhóm chúng nó từ mọi nước mà ta đã nhân giận, thạnh nộ, tức mình quá mà đuổi chúng nó đến; ta sẽ đem chúng nó về trong chỗ nầy, khiến chúng nó ở yên ổn.
38 and they have been to Me for a people, and I am to them for God;
Chúng nó sẽ làm dân ta, và ta sẽ làm Đức Chúa Trời chúng nó.
39 and I have given to them one heart and one way, to fear Me all the days, for the good of them and their sons after them:
Ta sẽ ban cho chúng nó một lòng một đường lối như nhau, hầu cho kính sợ ta đời đời, để chúng nó và con cháu nối sau đều được phước.
40 and I have made a perpetual covenant for them, in that I do not turn back from after them for My doing them good, and I put My fear in their heart, so as not to turn aside from me;
Ta sẽ lập giao ước đời đời với chúng nó rằng: ta sẽ không xây khỏi chúng nó để làm phước cho; và ta sẽ đặt sự kính sợ ta vào lòng, để chúng nó không còn lìa khỏi ta.
41 and I have rejoiced over them to do them good, and have planted them in this land in truth, with all my heart, and with all My soul.”
Ta sẽ lấy làm vui mà làm phước cho, và chắc hết lòng hết linh hồn trồng chúng nó trong đất nầy.
42 For thus said YHWH: “As I brought to this people all this great calamity, so I am bringing on them all the good that I am speaking concerning them;
Đức Giê-hô-va phán: Như ta đã giáng mọi tai vạ lớn trên dân nầy, ta cũng sẽ giáng cho mọi sự lành ta đã hứa.
43 and the field has been bought in this land of which you are saying, It [is] a desolation, without man and beast, it has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans.
Người ta sẽ mua ruộng trong đất nầy mà các ngươi nói rằng: Aáy là một nơi hoang vu, không có loài người, cũng không có loài thú, đã bị nộp trong tay người Canh-đê.
44 They buy fields with money, so as to write in a scroll, and to seal, and to cause witnesses to testify, in the land of Benjamin, and in outskirts of Jerusalem, and in cities of Judah, and in cities of the hill-country, and in cities of the low country, and in cities of the south, for I return their captivity,” a declaration of YHWH.
Người ta sẽ dùng giá bạc mua ruộng tại đó, viết khế bán, niêm phong lại, mời người làm chứng, trong đất Bên-gia-min và chung quanh Giê-ru-sa-lem, trong các thành Giu-đa và trong các thành miền núi, trong các thành đồng bằng và các thành phương nam. Vì ta sẽ khiến những phu tù trở về, Đức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.
