Jeremiah 28

1 And it comes to pass, in that year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah son of Azur the prophet, who [is] of Gibeon, has spoken to me in the house of YHWH, before the eyes of the priests, and all the people, saying,

Stalo se pak léta toho, na počátku kralování Sedechiáše krále Judského, léta totiž čtvrtého, měsíce pátého, mluvil ke mně Chananiáš syn Azurův, prorok, kterýž byl z Gabaon, v domě Hospodinově, před očima kněží i všeho lidu, řka:

2 “Thus spoke YHWH of Hosts, God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon;

Takto praví Hospodin zástupů, Bůh Izraelský, řka: Polámal jsem jho krále Babylonského.

3 within two years of days I am bringing back to this place all the vessels of the house of YHWH that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has taken from this place, and carries to Babylon,

Po dvou letech já navrátím zase na místo toto všecka nádobí domu Hospodinova, kteráž pobral Nabuchodonozor král Babylonský z místa tohoto, a zavezl je do Babylona.

4 and Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the expulsion of Judah, who are entering Babylon, I am bringing back to this place—a declaration of YHWH; for I break the yoke of the king of Babylon.”

Jekoniáše také syna Joakimova, krále Judského, i všecky zajaté Judské, kteříž se dostali do Babylona, já zase přivedu na místo toto, dí Hospodin; nebo polámi jho krále Babylonského.

5 And Jeremiah the prophet says to Hananiah the prophet, before the eyes of the priests, and before the eyes of all the people who are standing in the house of YHWH,

Tedy řekl Jeremiáš prorok Chananiášovi proroku tomu před očima kněží a před očima všeho lidu, kteříž stáli v domě Hospodinově,

6 indeed, Jeremiah the prophet says, “Amen! So may YHWH do; YHWH establish your words that you have prophesied, to bring back the vessels of the house of YHWH and all the expulsion from Babylon, to this place.

Řekl, pravím, Jeremiáš prorok: Amen, učiniž tak Hospodin. Potvrdiž Hospodin slov tvých, kteráž jsi prorokoval o navrácení nádobí domu Hospodinova, a všech zajatých z Babylona na místo toto.

7 Only, please hear this word that I am speaking in your ears, and in the ears of all the people.

Ale však poslechni medle slova tohoto, kteréž já mluvím při tvé přítomnosti a při přítomnosti všeho tohoto lidu.

8 The prophets who have been before me, and before you, from of old, even they prophesy concerning many lands, and concerning great kingdoms, of battle, and of calamity, and of pestilence.

Proroci, kteříž bývali přede mnou i před tebou od věků, ti prorokovali proti zemím znamenitým a proti královstvím velikým o válce a o ssoužení a o moru.

9 The prophet who prophesies of peace, by the word of the prophet coming to pass, the prophet is known [as] one whom YHWH has truly sent.”

Prorok ten, kterýž prorokuje o pokoji, když dojde slovo toho proroka, ten prorok znám bývá, že jej poslal Hospodin v pravdě.

10 And Hananiah the prophet takes the yoke from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, and breaks it,

Tedy sňal Chananiáš prorok to jho z šíje Jeremiáše proroka, a polámal je.

11 and Hananiah speaks before the eyes of all the people, saying, “Thus said YHWH: Thus I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, within two years of days, from off the neck of all the nations”; and Jeremiah the prophet goes on his way.

A mluvil Chananiáš před očima všeho lidu, řka: Takto praví Hospodin: Tak polámi jho Nabuchodonozora krále Babylonského po dvou letech z šíje všech národů. I počal jíti Jeremiáš prorok cestou svou.

12 And there is a word of YHWH to Jeremiah after the breaking, by Hananiah the prophet, of the yoke from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, saying,

Ale stalo se slovo Hospodinovo k Jeremiášovi, když polámal Chananiáš prorok to jho z šíje Jeremiáše proroka, řkoucí:

13 “Go, and you have spoken to Hananiah, saying, Thus said YHWH: You have broken yokes of wood, and I have made yokes of iron instead of them.

Jdi a mluv k Chananiášovi, řka: Takto praví Hospodin: Jha dřevěná jsi polámal, protož zdělej místo nich jha železná.

14 For thus said YHWH of Hosts, God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations to serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and they have served him, and I have also given the beast of the field to him.”

Nebo takto praví Hospodin zástupů, Bůh Izraelský: Jho železné vložím na šíji všech národů těchto, aby sloužili Naduchodonozorovi králi Babylonskému, a budouť sloužiti jemu. Také i živočichy polní dám jemu.

15 And Jeremiah the prophet says to Hananiah the prophet, “Now hear, O Hananiah; YHWH has not sent you, and you have caused this people to trust on falsehood.

Zatím řekl Jeremiáš prorok Chananiášovi proroku: Slyšiž nyní, Chananiáši: Neposlal tebe Hospodin, ale ty jsi k tomu přivedl, aby lid tento ve lži skládal doufání.

16 Therefore, thus said YHWH: Behold, I am casting you from off the face of the ground; you die this year, for you have spoken apostasy concerning YHWH.”

Protož takto praví Hospodin: Aj, já sklidím tě se svrchku země, tento rok ty umřeš; nebo jsi mluvil to, čímž bys odvrátil lid od Hospodina.

17 And Hananiah the prophet dies in that year, in the seventh month.

I umřel Chananiáš prorok roku toho měsíce sedmého.
