< Jeremiah 27 >

1 In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word has been to Jeremiah from YHWH, saying,
Yudahene Yosia babarima Sedekia adedie ahyɛaseɛ no, asɛm yi firi Awurade hɔ baa Yeremia nkyɛn sɛ,
2 “Thus said YHWH to me: Make bands and yokes for yourself,
Yei ne deɛ Awurade ka kyerɛɛ me: “Fa mmeamudua ne nkyehoma yɛ kɔnnua sɛn wo kɔn mu.
3 and you have put them on your neck, and have sent them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the sons of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of messengers who are coming to Jerusalem, to Zedekiah king of Judah;
Fa nkra ma abɔfoɔ a wɔaba Yudahene Sedekia nkyɛn wɔ Yerusalem na wɔmfa nkɔma ahemfo a wɔwɔ Edom, Moab, Amon, Tiro ne Sidon.
4 and you have commanded them for their lords, saying, Thus said YHWH of Hosts, God of Israel:
Fa nkra kɔma wɔn wuranom sɛ: Yei ne deɛ Asafo Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn seɛ, ‘Ka yei kyerɛ wo wuranom sɛ:
5 Thus you say to your lords, I have made the earth with man, and the livestock that [are] on the face of the earth, by My great power, and by My outstretched arm, and I have given it to whom it has been right in My eyes.
Mede me tumi kɛseɛ ne me basa a matene mu yɛɛ asase ne so nnipa ne mmoa a wɔwɔ so, na mede ma obiara a ɔsɔ mʼani.
6 And now, I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and I have also given the beast of the field to him to serve him;
Afei, mede mo aman nyinaa bɛhyɛ mʼakoa Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar nsa, na mede wiram mmoa mpo bɛhyɛ nʼase.
7 and all the nations have served him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the coming in of the time of his land, also it; and many nations and great kings have made him serve them.
Amanaman nyinaa bɛsom no ne ne babarima ne ne nanabarima kɔsi sɛ ne berɛ bɛtwam; na afei aman bebree ne ahemfo akɛseakɛseɛ bɛdi ne so.
8 And it has come to pass, the nation and the kingdom that does not serve him—Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon—and that which does not put its neck into the yoke of the king of Babylon, with sword, and with famine, and with pestilence, I lay a charge on that nation—a declaration of YHWH—until I consume them by his hand.
“‘Nanso sɛ ɔman bi anaa ahennie bi rensom Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar anaa wɔremfa wɔn kɔn nhyɛ ne kɔnnua ase a, mede akofena, ɛkɔm ne ɔyaredɔm bɛtwe saa ɔman no aso, kɔsi sɛ mede ne nsa bɛsɛe no, Awurade na ɔseɛ.
9 And you, you do not listen to your prophets, and to your diviners, and to your dreamers, and to your observers of clouds, and to your sorcerers who are speaking to you, saying, You do not serve the king of Babylon—
Ɛno enti monntie mo adiyifoɔ, mo nkɔmhyɛfoɔ, mo adaeɛ asekyerɛfoɔ, mo asamanfrɛfoɔ anaa mo ntafowayifoɔ a wɔka kyerɛ mo sɛ, “Morensom Babiloniahene.”
10 For they are prophesying falsehood to you, so as to remove you far from your ground, and I have driven you out, and you have perished.
Wɔhyɛ mo nkɔmtorɔ a ɛbɛma wɔayi mo afiri mo asase so akɔ akyirikyiri nko ara; mɛpam mo ama mo ase ayera.
11 And the nation that causes its neck to enter into the yoke of the king of Babylon, and has served him—I have left it on its ground—a declaration of YHWH—and it has tilled it, and dwelt in it.”
Nanso, sɛ ɔman biara de ne kɔn bɛhyɛ Babiloniahene kɔnnua no ase na wasom no a, mɛma saa ɔman no aka ɔno ara asase so na wadɔ so atena so, Awurade, na ɔseɛ.’”
12 And I have spoken to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, “Cause your necks to enter into the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
Mede saa nkra korɔ no ara kɔmaa Yudahene Sedekia sɛ, “Momfa mo kɔn nhyɛ Babiloniahene kɔnnua ase na monsom ɔno ne ne nkurɔfoɔ na mobɛnya nkwa.
13 Why do you die, you and your people, by sword, by famine, and by pestilence, as YHWH has spoken concerning the nation that does not serve the king of Babylon?
Adɛn enti na ɛsɛ sɛ wo ne wo nkurɔfoɔ wuwuo wɔ akofena, ɛkɔm ne ɔyaredɔm ano, sɛdeɛ Awurade de ahunahuna ɔman biara a ɔmpɛ sɛ ɔsom Babiloniahene no?
14 And you do not listen to the words of the prophets who are speaking to you, saying, You do not serve the king of Babylon—for they are prophesying falsehood to you.
Monntie adiyifoɔ no a wɔka kyerɛ mo sɛ, ‘Morensom Babiloniahene,’ ɛfiri sɛ wɔhyɛ mo nkɔmtorɔ.
15 For I have not sent them—a declaration of YHWH—and they are prophesying falsely in My Name, so as to drive you out, and you have perished, you and the prophets who are prophesying to you.”
‘Mensomaa wɔn’ Awurade na ɔseɛ. ‘Wɔhyɛ nkɔmtorɔ wɔ me din mu. Enti, mɛpam mo na moayera, mo ne adiyifoɔ a wɔhyɛ mo nkɔm no.’”
16 And to the priests, and to all this people, I have spoken, saying, “Thus said YHWH: You do not listen to the words of your prophets, who are prophesying to you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the house of YHWH are now brought back from Babylon in haste, for they are prophesying falsehood to you.
Na meka kyerɛɛ asɔfoɔ no ne saa nkurɔfoɔ yi nyinaa sɛ, “Yei ne deɛ Awurade seɛ: Monntie adiyifoɔ no a wɔhyɛ mo nkɔm sɛ, ‘Ɛrenkyɛre koraa wɔde Awurade efie nneɛma no bɛfiri Babilonia aba.’ Wɔhyɛ nkɔmtorɔ kyerɛ mo.
17 You do not listen to them; serve the king of Babylon and live! Why is this city a ruin?
Monntie wɔn. Monsom Babiloniahene na mobɛnya nkwa. Adɛn enti na ɛsɛ sɛ saa kuropɔn yi sɛeɛ?
18 And if they are prophets, and if a word of YHWH is with them, let them now intercede with YHWH of Hosts, so that the vessels that are left in the house of YHWH, and [in] the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem, have not gone into Babylon.
19 For thus said YHWH of Hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the rest of the vessels that are left in this city,
Na yei ne deɛ Asafo Awurade ka fa kɔbere mfrafraeɛ afadum, Ɛpo, nnyinasoɔ a wɔtumi pia ne nneɛma a wɔde siesie dan mu no a aka wɔ kuropɔn yi mu no ho.
20 that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has not taken, in his removing Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon with all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem,
Deɛ Babiloniahene Nebukadnessar amfa ankɔ ɛberɛ a ɔbɛfaa Yudahene Yehoiakim babarima Yehoiakin ne Yuda ne Yerusalem mmapɔmma firii Yerusalem kɔɔ nkoasom mu wɔ Babilonia no.
21 surely thus said YHWH of Hosts, God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left of the house of YHWH, and of the house of the king of Judah, and [in] Jerusalem:
Aane, yei ne deɛ Asafo Awurade, Israel Onyankopɔn, ka fa nneɛma a aka wɔ Awurade efie, Yudahene ahemfie ne Yerusalem no ho:
22 They are brought to Babylon, and there they are until the day of My inspecting them—a declaration of YHWH; then I have brought them up, and have brought them back to this place.”
‘Wɔbɛfa akɔ Babilonia, na ɛhɔ na ɛbɛka kɔsi da a mɛba abɛfa,’ Awurade na ɔseɛ. ‘Afei mede nneɛma no bɛsane aba bio abɛsisi wɔn siberɛ wɔ ha.’”
