Jeremiah 27

1 In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word has been to Jeremiah from YHWH, saying,

در آغاز سلطنت صدقیا (پسر یوشیا) پادشاه یهودا، به دستور خداوند یوغی ساختم و آن را با بندهای چرمی به گردنم بستم، مانند یوغی که هنگام شخم به گردن گاو می‌بندند.

2 “Thus said YHWH to me: Make bands and yokes for yourself,

3 and you have put them on your neck, and have sent them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the sons of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of messengers who are coming to Jerusalem, to Zedekiah king of Judah;

سپس خداوند فرمود که پیغام او را به سفیران ادوم، موآب، عمون، صور و صیدون که به اورشلیم به حضور صدقیای پادشاه آمده بودند، اعلام نمایم تا آن را به پادشاهان ممالک خود برسانند. پس به ایشان گفتم که خداوند لشکرهای آسمان، خدای اسرائیل چنین می‌فرماید:

4 and you have commanded them for their lords, saying, Thus said YHWH of Hosts, God of Israel:

5 Thus you say to your lords, I have made the earth with man, and the livestock that [are] on the face of the earth, by My great power, and by My outstretched arm, and I have given it to whom it has been right in My eyes.

«من با قدرت عظیم خود، دنیا و تمام انسانها و همهٔ حیوانات را آفریده‌ام، و آنها را در اختیار هر کس که مایل باشم قرار می‌دهم.

6 And now, I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and I have also given the beast of the field to him to serve him;

بنابراین من تمام سرزمینهای شما را به بندۀ خود نِبوکَدنِصَّر، پادشاه بابِل، خواهم بخشید و حتی حیوانات وحشی را نیز مطیع او خواهم ساخت.

7 and all the nations have served him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the coming in of the time of his land, also it; and many nations and great kings have made him serve them.

تمام قومها، خدمتگزار او و پسرش و نوه‌اش خواهند بود تا زمانی که نوبت شکست مملکت او هم برسد؛ آنگاه قومهای مختلف و پادشاهان بزرگ، سرزمین بابِل را تصرف کرده، مردم آن را بندهٔ خود خواهند ساخت.

8 And it has come to pass, the nation and the kingdom that does not serve him—Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon—and that which does not put its neck into the yoke of the king of Babylon, with sword, and with famine, and with pestilence, I lay a charge on that nation—a declaration of YHWH—until I consume them by his hand.

هر قومی را که نخواهد تسلیم نِبوکَدنِصَّر پادشاه بابِل شود و زیر یوغ بندگی او برود، با جنگ، قحطی و وبا مجازات خواهم کرد تا مغلوب او شود.

9 And you, you do not listen to your prophets, and to your diviners, and to your dreamers, and to your observers of clouds, and to your sorcerers who are speaking to you, saying, You do not serve the king of Babylon—

«به سخنان انبیای دروغین و کسانی که آینده را با فالگیری و خواب و رؤیا و احضار ارواح و جادوگری پیشگویی می‌کنند گوش ندهید؛ آنها می‌گویند که تسلیم پادشاه بابِل نشوید؛

10 For they are prophesying falsehood to you, so as to remove you far from your ground, and I have driven you out, and you have perished.

ولی همه دروغ می‌گویند. اگر شما به سخنانشان گوش بدهید و تسلیم پادشاه بابِل نشوید، من خود، شما را از سرزمین‌تان بیرون خواهم کرد و در سرزمینهای دور دست پراکنده خواهم ساخت تا نابود شوید.

11 And the nation that causes its neck to enter into the yoke of the king of Babylon, and has served him—I have left it on its ground—a declaration of YHWH—and it has tilled it, and dwelt in it.”

اما به هر قومی که تسلیم و مطیع پادشاه بابِل شود، اجازه خواهم داد در سرزمین خود بماند و به کشت و زرع بپردازد. من، خداوند، این را می‌گویم.»

12 And I have spoken to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, “Cause your necks to enter into the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.

تمام این پیشگویی‌ها را برای صدقیا، پادشاه یهودا نیز تکرار کردم و گفتم: «اگر می‌خواهی خودت و قومت زنده بمانید، تسلیم پادشاه بابِل و قوم او شوید.

13 Why do you die, you and your people, by sword, by famine, and by pestilence, as YHWH has spoken concerning the nation that does not serve the king of Babylon?

چرا اصرار داری کاری بکنی که همگی از بین بروند؟ چرا باید با جنگ و قحطی و وبا کشته شوید، با بلاهایی که خداوند بر هر قومی که تسلیم پادشاه بابِل نشود، خواهد فرستاد؟

14 And you do not listen to the words of the prophets who are speaking to you, saying, You do not serve the king of Babylon—for they are prophesying falsehood to you.

به انبیای دروغین گوش ندهید؛ آنها می‌گویند که پادشاه بابِل نمی‌تواند شما را شکست بدهد، ولی دروغ می‌گویند،

15 For I have not sent them—a declaration of YHWH—and they are prophesying falsely in My Name, so as to drive you out, and you have perished, you and the prophets who are prophesying to you.”

چون من ایشان را نفرستاده‌ام و آنها به اسم من پیامهای دروغین می‌آورند؛ پس اگر سخنان ایشان را پیروی نمایی، شما را از این سرزمین بیرون خواهم کرد و از بین خواهم برد، هم تو و هم انبیای دروغینت را.»

16 And to the priests, and to all this people, I have spoken, saying, “Thus said YHWH: You do not listen to the words of your prophets, who are prophesying to you, saying, Behold, the vessels of the house of YHWH are now brought back from Babylon in haste, for they are prophesying falsehood to you.

آنگاه کاهنان و مردم را خطاب کرده، گفتم که خداوند چنین می‌فرماید: «به سخنان انبیای دروغین توجه نکنید؛ آنها می‌گویند که ظروف طلا که از خانهٔ خداوند به بابِل برده شده، به‌زودی باز آورده خواهد شد؛ این دروغ است.

17 You do not listen to them; serve the king of Babylon and live! Why is this city a ruin?

به آنها گوش ندهید. تسلیم پادشاه بابِل شوید و زنده بمانید، و گرنه این شهر با خاک یکسان خواهد شد.

18 And if they are prophets, and if a word of YHWH is with them, let them now intercede with YHWH of Hosts, so that the vessels that are left in the house of YHWH, and [in] the house of the king of Judah, and in Jerusalem, have not gone into Babylon.

اگر آنها انبیای خداوند هستند و پیامهای خود را از او دریافت می‌کنند، پس اکنون از خداوند لشکرهای آسمان تقاضا کنند تا ظروف طلایی که هنوز در خانهٔ خداوند و در کاخ پادشاه یهودا و دیگر کاخهای اورشلیم باقی مانده، به بابِل برده نشوند!

19 For thus said YHWH of Hosts concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the rest of the vessels that are left in this city,

زیرا خداوندِ لشکرهای آسمان دربارۀ ستونهای جلوی معبد، حوض مفرغین که”دریاچه“نامیده می‌شود، گاری‌های آب و دیگر اسبابی که در این شهر برجای مانده‌اند، چنین می‌گوید

20 that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has not taken, in his removing Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim king of Judah from Jerusalem to Babylon with all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem,

یعنی دربارۀ آنچه نبوکدنصر پادشاه بابِل، وقتی که یِهویاکین پسر یِهویاقیم پادشاه یهودا و تمامی بزرگان یهودا و اورشلیم را از اورشلیم به بابِل به تبعید می‌بُرد، آنها را با خود نبُرد،

21 surely thus said YHWH of Hosts, God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left of the house of YHWH, and of the house of the king of Judah, and [in] Jerusalem:

آری، خداوند لشکرهای آسمان، خدای اسرائیل، دربارۀ اسبابی که هنوز در خانۀ خداوند و خانۀ پادشاه یهودا و اورشلیم برجای مانده‌اند، چنین می‌فرماید: ‏

22 They are brought to Babylon, and there they are until the day of My inspecting them—a declaration of YHWH; then I have brought them up, and have brought them back to this place.”

تمام اینها هم به بابِل برده خواهند شد و در آنجا خواهند ماند تا روزی که من بر قومم نظر لطف بیندازم. در آن زمان اینها را از بابِل باز خواهم آورد.»
