Jeremiah 24
1 YHWH has showed me, and behold, two baskets of figs, appointed before the temple of YHWH—after the removing by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, of Jeconiah, son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the heads of Judah, and the artisan, and the smith, from Jerusalem, when he brings them into Babylon—
Babilon siangpahrang Nebukhadnezar ni, Judah siangpahrang Jekoniah, Jehoiakim capa, Judah kahrawikung, kutsakthoumnaw hoi sumdeithoumnaw hoi Jerusalem hoi Babilon lah a ceikhai awh hnukkhu, BAWIPA ni a pâtue teh, khenhaw! thaibunglung paw bom kahni touh heh BAWIPA e bawkim e hmalah a pâhung awh.
2 In one basket [are] very good figs, like the first-ripe figs, and in the other basket [are] very bad figs that are not eaten because of badness.
A bom buet touh dawk thaibunglung paw kahawipoung e, thaibunglung paw ka hmin pasuek e patet e hah ao. A bom alouk lae dawk teh, thaibunglung paw kahawihoehe ca hanelah kamcu hoeh totouh kahawihoehe hah ao.
3 And YHWH says to me, “What are you seeing, Jeremiah?” And I say, “Figs, the good figs [are] very good, and the bad [are] very bad, that are not eaten because of badness.”
BAWIPA ni kai koevah, bangne na hmu, Jeremiah telah ati. Kai ni thaibunglung paw kahawipoung e hoi kahawihoehe cakawi hoeh e telah ka ti.
4 And there is a word of YHWH to me, saying,
BAWIPA e lawk hah kai koe a pha teh,
5 “Thus said YHWH, God of Israel: Like these good figs so I acknowledge The expulsion of Judah that I sent from this place, [To] the land of the Chaldeans—for good.
BAWIPA Isarel Cathut ni hettelah a dei, san ka toung e Judahnaw, Khaldean ram dawk ahawi awh nahanelah ka patoun e naw hah hete kahawi e thaibunglung paw patetlah ka khet han.
6 And I have set My eyes on them for good, And have brought them back to this land, And built them up, and I do not throw down, And have planted them, and do not pluck up.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, ahawi awh nahan ahnimae lathueng ka mit ka hruek vaiteh, hete ram dawk na bankhai awh han, ahnimouh ka pathung vaiteh, ka raphoe mahoeh toe, ka ung vaiteh, ka phawng mahoeh toe.
7 And have given to them a heart to know Me, For I [am] YHWH, And they have been to Me for a people, And I am to them for God, For they turned back to Me with all their heart.
BAWIPA lah ka o thainae panuethainae lungthin hah ka poe han. Ka tami lah ao awh vaiteh, ahnimae Cathut lah ka o han. Bangkongtetpawiteh, a lungthin abuemlahoi kai koe bout a ban awh han.
8 And like the bad figs that are not eaten for badness, Surely thus said YHWH: So I make Zedekiah king of Judah, And his heads, and the remnant of Jerusalem, Who are left in this land, And who are dwelling in the land of Egypt,
BAWIPA ni hettelah a dei, thaibunglung paw kahawihoeh e, ca han kamcu hoeh totouh kahawihoehe patetlah Judah siangpahrang Zedekiah hoi kahrawikungnaw hoi Jerusalem e kacawirae hete ram dawk kaawmnaw hoi Izip dawk kho ka sak e hah ka hnamthun takhai roeroe han.
9 And I have given them for a trembling, For evil—to all kingdoms of the earth, For a reproach, and for an allegory, For a byword, and for a reviling, In all the places to where I drive them.
Ka rucat poung lahoi talai uknaeram tangkuem dawk dudam hane ka hreknae ram pueng koe pahnawt, pacekpahlek, yue han hoi thoebo e lah ao nahanlah ka poe han.
10 And I have sent the sword against them, The famine and the pestilence, Until their consumption from off the ground, That I gave to them and to their fathers!”
Amamouh hoi a mintoenaw koevah, ka poe e ram thung hoi a thup awh totouh, ahnimouh koe tahloi, takang, hoi lacik ka patoun han telah BAWIPA ni ati.
