Jeremiah 23

1 “Woe to shepherds destroying, And scattering the flock of My pasture,” A declaration of YHWH.

१“जे मेंढपाळ माझ्या कुरणातून मेंढरांचा नाश आणि त्यांची पांगापंग करीत आहेत,” त्यांना हाय हाय! परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो,

2 Therefore, thus said YHWH, God of Israel, Against the shepherds who feed My people: “You have scattered My flock, and drive them away, And have not inspected them, Behold, I am charging on you the evil of your doings,” A declaration of YHWH.

२यास्तव परमेश्वर, इस्राएलचा देव, त्या मेंढपाळांना, जे त्याच्या लोकांस चारतात, त्याविषयी असे म्हणतो, “तुम्ही माझ्या मेंढरांना विखरले आणि त्यांना घालवून लावले आहे. तुम्ही त्यांची काळजी घेतली नाही. हे जाणून घ्या, मी तुम्हास तुमच्या वाईट कृत्यांबद्दल परत फेड करीन.” परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो.

3 “And I gather the remnant of My flock Out of all the lands to where I drove them, And have brought them back to their fold, And they have been fruitful, and multiplied.

३“मी स्वत: माझ्या उरलेल्या कळपास ज्या सर्व देशात घालवला होता, त्यास एकत्र करणार, आणि त्यांना त्यांच्या कुरणात परत आणीन. मग ती सफल होऊन बहूतपट होतील.

4 And I have raised shepherds for them, And they have fed them, And they no longer fear, nor are frightened, Nor are they lacking,” A declaration of YHWH.

४मग मी त्यांच्यावर मेंढपाळ नेमीन, जो त्यांना पाळील, म्हणजे ती घाबरणार नाहीत व भयभीत होणार नाहीत. त्यातील एकही हरवणार नाही.” परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो.

5 “Behold, days are coming,” A declaration of YHWH, “And I have raised a righteous shoot to David, And a king has reigned and acted wisely, And done judgment and righteousness in the earth.

५परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, पाहा! असे दिवस येत आहेत. “मी दावीदाकरीता नितीमान अंकुर उगवीन.” तो राजा म्हणून राज्य करेल, तो देशात न्याय व न्यायीपण करील, आणि भरभराट घेऊन येईल.

6 Judah is saved in His days, and Israel dwells confidently, And this [is] His Name that YHWH proclaims Him: Our Righteousness.

६त्याच्या दिवसात यहूदा तरला जाईल, आणि इस्राएल सुरक्षित राहील. आणि ज्या नावाने त्यास हाक मारतील ते हे, म्हणजे परमेश्वर आमचे न्यायीपण असे असेल.

7 Therefore, behold, days are coming,” A declaration of YHWH, “And they no longer say, YHWH lives who brought up The sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,

७यास्तव परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो. पाहा! असे दिवस येत आहेत ज्यात, ज्या परमेश्वराने इस्राएलाच्या लोकांस मिसर देशातून बाहेर आणले, तो जिवंत आहे असे म्हणणार नाहीत.

8 But—YHWH lives, who brought up, And who brought in, the seed of the house of Israel, From the land of the north, And from all the lands to where I drove them, And they have dwelt on their own ground!”

८उलट ते असे म्हणतील, परमेश्वर जिवंत आहे, ज्याने इस्राएलाच्या वंशांना उत्तरेकडील देशातून आणि सर्व देशात ज्यात त्यांना घालवले होते, त्यातून बाहेर काढून वर चालवून आणले, असे म्हणतील.

9 In reference to the prophets: My heart has been broken in my midst, All my bones have fluttered, I have been as a man—a drunkard, And as a man—wine has passed over him, Because of YHWH, and of His holy words.

९संदेष्ट्यांबद्दल माझे हृदय माझ्या आत तुटले आहे आणि माझी सर्व हाडे थरथरत आहेत. कारण परमेश्वर व त्याच्या पवित्र वचनांमुळे, माझी स्थिती मद्यप्यासारखी झाली आहे. ज्यावर द्राक्षरस हावी झाले आहे,

10 For the land has been full of adulterers, For the land has mourned because of these, The pleasant places of the wilderness have dried up, And their course is evil, and their might—not right.

१०कारण व्यभिचाऱ्यांनी राष्ट्र भरला आहे, यास्तव राष्ट्र शोक करीत आहे. रानातील कुरणे वाळून गेली आहे. संदेष्ट्यांचे मार्ग दुष्ट आहेत, ते त्यांची शक्ती चुकीच्या पद्धतीने वापरतात.

11 “For both prophet and priest have been profane, Indeed, I found their wickedness in My house,” A declaration of YHWH.

११कारण संदेष्टेच काय, पण याजकसुद्धा विटाळले आहेत. माझ्या मंदिरात त्यांची दुष्कृत्ये आढळली आहेत, परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो.

12 “Therefore their way is as slippery places to them, They are driven into thick darkness, And they have fallen in it, For I bring in calamity against them, The year of their inspection,” A declaration of YHWH.

१२यास्तव त्यांच्या मार्ग त्यांचा अंधारात निसरड्या मार्गा सारखा होईल. ते खाली ओढले जातील, ते त्यामध्ये पडतील. कारण त्यांच्या शिक्षेच्या वर्षी मी त्यांच्याविरुद्ध अरिष्ट पाठवीन, असे परमेश्वर म्हणतो.

13 “And I have seen folly in prophets of Samaria, They have prophesied by Ba‘al, And cause My people—Israel—to err.

१३“शोमरोनच्या संदेष्ट्यांनी चुकीच्या गोष्टी केल्याचे मी पाहिले. मी त्यांना बाल या खोट्या दैवताच्या नावाने भविष्य वर्तविताना पाहिले. आणि त्यांनी इस्राएलाच्या लोकांस चूकीच्या मार्गास नेले.

14 And I have seen a horrible thing in prophets of Jerusalem, Committing adultery, and walking falsely, Indeed, they strengthened the hands of evildoers, So that they have not turned back, Each from his wickedness, All of them have been as Sodom to me, And its inhabitants as Gomorrah.”

१४आणि मी यरूशलेमामधल्या संदेष्ट्यांना भयंकर गोष्टी करताना पाहिले आहे. त्यांनी व्यभिचार केला आणि दुष्टतेत चालले. ते दुष्टांचे हात मजबूत करतात, कोणीही आपल्या दुष्टाईपासून फिरले नाहीत. ते सर्व मला सदोमासारखे आणि तिच्यातले राहणारे गमोऱ्यासारखे झाले आहेत.”

15 Therefore, thus said YHWH of Hosts, concerning the prophets: “Behold, I am causing them to eat wormwood, And have caused them to drink water of gall, For from prophets of Jerusalem Profanity has gone forth to all the land.”

१५यास्तव सेनाधीश परमेश्वर संदेष्ट्यांबद्दल असे म्हणतो, “मी त्यांना कडू दवणा खावयास देणार आणि विषमिश्रित पाणी पिण्यास देणार.” कारण यरूशलेमेतल्या संदेष्ट्यांकडून अशुद्धपणा निघून सर्व देशात पसरला आहे.

16 Thus said YHWH of Hosts: “You do not listen to the words Of the prophets who are prophesying to you, They are making you vain things, They speak a vision of their own heart, Not from the mouth of YHWH.

१६सेनाधीश परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “हे संदेष्टे तुम्हास जे काय भविष्य सांगतात त्याकडे लक्ष देऊ नका. त्यांनी तुम्हास भ्रमात पाडले आहे! ते त्यांच्या मनाचेच दृष्टांत सांगतात.

17 Diligently saying to those despising, The word of YHWH: Peace is for you, And [to] everyone walking in the stubbornness of his heart, they have said: Evil does not come to you.”

१७माझा अपमान करणाऱ्यांना ते सतत बोलत राहतात की, परमेश्वराने तुम्हास शांती देऊ केली आहे, आणि प्रत्येकजण आपल्या हृदयाच्या हट्टीपणाच्या वाटेने चालतात आणि म्हणतात, तुमच्यावर कोणतीच आपत्ती येणार नाही.

18 For who has stood in the counsel of YHWH, And sees and hears His word? Who has regarded My word, and listens?

१८पण परमेश्वराच्या मसलतीच्या सभेत त्याचे वचन पाहायला व ऐकायला कोण उभा राहील? त्याच्या शब्दांकडे लक्ष देऊन कोण ऐकेल?

19 Behold, a whirlwind of YHWH—Fury has gone out, even a piercing whirlwind, It stays on the head of the wicked.

१९पाहा! परमेश्वराकडून वादळ येत आहे. त्याचा राग बाहेर जात आहे, आणि ती क्रोधाच्या वादळाची भोवळ आहे. ती दुष्टांच्या डोक्यावर आदळेल.

20 The anger of YHWH does not turn back Until His doing, and until His establishing, The thoughts of His heart, In the latter end of the days You attend to it with understanding.

२०परमेश्वराने आपल्या हृदयातील हेतू सिद्धीस नेई पर्यंत, त्याचा राग परतणार नाही. शेवटल्या दिवसात तुम्हास हे समजेल.

21 “I have not sent the prophets, and they have run, I have not spoken to them, and they have prophesied.

२१मी त्या संदेष्ट्यांना पाठवले नाही, पण तेच संराष्ट्र द्यायला धावले. मी त्यांच्याशी काही बोललो नाही, पण तेच माझ्यावतीने भविष्य करतात.

22 But if they stood in My counsel, Then they cause My people to hear My words, And they turn them back from their evil way, And from the evil of their doings.

२२कारण जर ते माझ्या सभेत उभे राहिले असते, तर ते माझ्या लोकांस माझे वचन ऐकण्याचे कारण झाले असते. त्यांनी त्यांच्या दुष्कृत्यांपासून आणि कर्मांच्या दुष्टतेपासून फिरवले असते.”

23 [Am] I a God near,” A declaration of YHWH, “And not a God far off?

२३परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “मी काय फक्त जवळचा देव आहे आणि दूरवरचा देव नाही काय?”

24 Is anyone hidden in secret places, And I do not see him?” A declaration of YHWH, “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” A declaration of YHWH.

२४परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, कोण असा आहे जो गुप्त ठिकाणी लपतो म्हणजे मी त्यास पाहू शकणार नाही? मी स्वर्ग आणि पृथ्वी भरून उरलो नाही काय?

25 “I have heard that which the prophets said, Who prophesy falsehood in My Name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

२५संदेष्टे माझ्या नावाने खोटे भविष्य करतात, ते म्हणतात, मला स्वप्न पडले आहे! मला स्वप्न पडले आहे! मी त्याना असे म्हणताना ऐकले आहे.

26 Until when is it in the heart of the prophets? The prophets of falsehood, Indeed, prophets of the deceit of their heart,

२६संदेष्ट्ये जे खोटे भविष्य सांगतात आणि आपल्या हृदयाच्या दुष्टपणाने विचार करतात हे किती काळ चालणार?

27 Who are devising to cause My people To forget My Name by their dreams, That they each recount to his neighbor, As their fathers forgot My Name for Ba‘al.

२७हे संदेष्टे, ऐकमेकांना खोट्या स्वप्नाबद्दल सांगून माझ्या लोकांस माझ्या नामाचा विसर व्हावा असा प्रयत्न करीत आहेत. जसे ह्यांचे पूर्वज बालामुळे माझे नाव विसरले.

28 The prophet with whom [is] a dream, Let him recount the dream, And he with whom [is] My word, Let him truly speak My word. What does the straw [have to do] with the grain?” A declaration of YHWH.

२८संदेष्ट्याला स्वप्न सांगायचे असेल, तर त्यास सांगू द्या. पण ज्या कोणाला मी काही घोषीत करतो, त्याने माझे वचन सत्याने सांगावे. गव्हा पुढे गवत ते काय? परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो.

29 “Is it not thus? My word [is] as fire,” A declaration of YHWH. “And as a hammer—it breaks a rock in pieces.

२९माझा संराष्ट्र अग्नीप्रमाणे नाही काय? परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो. आणि तो खडक फोडणाऱ्या हातोड्याप्रमाणे नाही काय?

30 Therefore, behold, I [am] against the prophets,” A declaration of YHWH, “Each stealing My words from his neighbor.

३०परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो “म्हणून पाहा! मी खोट्या संदेष्ट्यांविरूद्ध आहे, जे एकमेकांकडून माझे शब्द चोरतात आणि म्हणतात ते माझ्याकडून आले आहेत.

31 Behold, I [am] against the prophets,” A declaration of YHWH, “Who are making their tongue smooth, And they affirm—an affirmation.

३१परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, पाहा! मी संदेष्ट्यांविरूद्ध आहे, जे त्यांची जीभ भविष्यवाणी करण्यासाठी वापरतात.

32 Behold, I [am] against the prophets of false dreams,” A declaration of YHWH, “And they recount them, and cause My people to err, By their falsehoods, and by their instability, And I have not sent them, Nor have I commanded them, And they are not profitable to this people at all,” A declaration of YHWH.

३२परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, पाहा! मी त्या संदेष्ट्यांविरूद्ध जे फसवे स्वप्ने सांगतात, म्हणजे ते त्यांच्या खोट्या बोलण्याने व बढाईने माझ्या लोकांस चुकीच्या मार्गांने नेतात. कारण लोकांस शिकविण्यासाठी मी त्यांना पाठविलेले नाही. मी त्यांना माझ्यासाठी काही करण्याची आज्ञा कधीही दिलेली नाही. ते या लोकांस खचित मदत करु शकत नाहीत.” परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो.

33 “And when this people, or the prophet, Or a priest, asks you, saying, What [is] the burden of YHWH? Then you have said to them: You [are] the burden, and I have left you,” A declaration of YHWH.

३३“जेव्हा हे लोक व संदेष्टे किंवा याजक तुला विचारतील की ‘परमेश्वराने काय घोषणा केली आहे?’ तेव्हा तू त्यांना सांग, कोणती घोषणा? कारण मी तुम्हास टाकले आहे, परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो.

34 “And the prophet, and the priest, and the people, That says, The burden of YHWH, I have seen after that man, and after his house.

३४आणि संदेष्टे व याजक किंवा जो कोणी म्हणेल ‘परमेश्वराची घोषणा ही आहे.’ मी त्यास व त्याच्या सर्व घराण्याला शिक्षा करीन.

35 Thus you each say to his neighbor, And each to his brother: What has YHWH answered? And what has YHWH spoken?

३५तुम्ही प्रत्येक आपल्या भावाला आणि आपल्या शेजाऱ्यास असे विचारु शकता, ‘परमेश्वराने काय उत्तर दिले?’ किंवा ‘परमेश्वर काय म्हणाला?’

36 And you do not mention the burden of YHWH anymore, For the burden to each is His word, And you have overturned the words of the living God, YHWH of Hosts, our God.

३६पण तुम्ही कधीही परमेश्वराच्या ओझ्याची आठवण करुच नका, कारण प्रत्येकाला आपापलेच वचन ओझे असे होईल, कारण जिवंत देव, सेनाधीश परमेश्वर, आमचा देव याची वचने तुम्ही विपरीत केली आहेत.

37 Thus you say to the prophet, What has YHWH answered you? And what has YHWH spoken?

३७तुम्ही संदेष्ट्याला असे विचारा, ‘परमेश्वराने तुला काय उत्तर दिले’ किंवा ‘परमेश्वर काय म्हणाला?’

38 And if you say, The burden of YHWH, Therefore, thus said YHWH: Because of your saying this word, The burden of YHWH, And I send to you, saying, You do not say, The burden of YHWH.

३८आणि ‘परमेश्वराची घोषणा काय आहे?’ असे म्हणून नका. जर तुम्ही असे शब्द वापराल, तर परमेश्वर तुम्हास म्हणेल, तुम्ही माझ्या संदेशाला ‘परमेश्वराची घोषणा असे म्हणू नेय.’ हे शब्द वापरु नका असे मी बजावले.

39 Therefore, behold, I have utterly taken you away, And I have sent you out, And the city that I gave to you, And to your fathers, from before My face,

३९म्हणून मी तुम्हास व जे नगर मी तुम्हास व तुमच्या पूर्वजांना दिले ते मी आपल्या समक्षतेपासून दूर फेकून देणार.

40 And I have put continuous reproach on you, And continuous shame that is not forgotten!”

४०मी तुम्हावर कधीही विसरु शकणारी अप्रतिष्ठित आणि बदनामी ही आणीन.”
