Jeremiah 11
1 The word that has been to Jeremiah from YHWH, saying,
परमप्रभुबाट यर्मियाकहाँ यसो भनेर वचन आयो,
2 “Hear the words of this covenant, and you have spoken to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem,
“यस करारका वचनहरूलाई सुन्, अनि यहूदाका हरेक मानिस र यरूशलेमका बासिन्दाहरूलाई ती घोषणा गर् ।
3 and you have said to them, Thus said YHWH God of Israel: Cursed [is] the man who does not obey the words of this covenant,
तिनीहरूलाई भन्, 'परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्वर यसो भन्नुहुन्छः यस करारका वचनहरू नसुन्ने जोसुकै श्रापित होस् ।
4 That I commanded your fathers, In the day of My bringing them out from the land of Egypt, Out of the iron furnace, saying, Listen to My voice, and you have done them, According to all that I command you, And you have been to Me for a people, And I am to you for God,
मैले तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूलाई मिश्रदेश अर्थात् फलाम पगाल्ने भट्टीबाट ल्याएको दिनमा यो करारको पालन गर्न आज्ञा दिएको थिएँ । मैले भनें, 'मेरो आवाजलाई सुन र मैले तिमीहरूलाई आज्ञा गरेका यी सबै कुरा पालन गर, किनकि तिमीहरू मेरो जाति हुनेछौ, र म तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर हुनेछु ।'
5 In order to establish the oath that I have sworn to your fathers, To give to them a land flowing with milk and honey, as this day.” And I answer and say, “Amen, O YHWH.”
मेरो आज्ञा पालन गर ताकि दूध र मह बग्ने देश दिनेछु भनी मैले तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूसित खाएको शपथ म पुरा गर्न सक्छु ।' तब म यर्मियाले जवाफ दिएँ र भनें, 'हे, परमप्रभु हवस् ।'
6 And YHWH says to me, “Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear the words of this covenant, And you have done them.
परमप्रभुले मलाई भन्नुभयो, “यहूदाका सहरहरू र यरूशलेमका सडकहरूका यी सबै कुराको घोषणा गर् । यसो भन्, 'यस करारका वचनहरूलाई सुन र तिनलाई कार्यावन्यन गर ।
7 For I certainly testified against your fathers, In the day of My bringing them up out of the land of Egypt—until this day, Rising early and testifying, saying, Listen to My voice,
किनकि मैले तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूलाई मिश्रदेशबाट ल्याएको दिनदेखि वर्तमान समयसम्म निरन्तर रूपमा तिनीहरूलाई चेताउनी दिंदै र 'मेरो आवाज सुन,' भन्दै गम्भीर आज्ञाहरू दिंदै आएको छु ।
8 And they have not listened nor inclined their ear, And they each walk in the stubbornness of their evil heart, And I bring on them all the words of this covenant, That I commanded to do, and they did not.”
तर तिनीहरूले सुनेनन्, वा ध्यानै दिएनन् । हरेक व्यक्ति आफ्नै दुष्ट हृदयको कठोरतामा हिंडिरहेको छ । त्यसैले यस करारमा मैले तिनीहरूलाई आज्ञा गरेका सबै श्राप मैले तिनीहरूका विरुद्धमा ल्याएँ । तर मानिसहरूले अझै पनि आज्ञा मानेनन् ।”
9 And YHWH says to me: “A conspiracy is found in the men of Judah, And in the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
त्यसपछि परमप्रभुले मलाई भन्नुभयो, “यहूदाका मानिसहरू र यरूशलेमका बासिन्दाहरूका बिचमा भएको एउटा षड्यन्त्र पत्ता लागेको छ ।
10 They have turned back to the iniquities of their first fathers, Who refused to hear My words, And they have gone after other gods to serve them, The house of Israel and the house of Judah Have made void My covenant that I made with their fathers.”
तिनीहरू आफ्ना पहिलेका पुर्खाहरूका अधर्मतर्फ लागेका छन् जसले मेरो वचन सुन्न इन्कार गरी अरू देवताहरूको पुजा गर्न तिनीहरूको पछि लागे । इस्राएलको घराना र यहूदाको घरानाले मैले तिनीहरूका पुर्खाहरूसित स्थापित गरेको मेरो करार तोडे ।
11 Therefore, thus said YHWH: “Behold, I am bringing calamity on them, That they are not able to go out from, And they have cried to Me, And I do not listen to them.
त्यसकारण परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, 'हेर, मैले तिनीहरूमाथि यस्तो विपत्ति ल्याउनै लागेको छु, जुन विपत्तिबाट तिनीहरू भाग्न सक्ने छैनन् । तब तिनीहरूले मेरो पुकारा गर्नेछन्, तर म तिनीहरूको कुरा सुन्नेछैनँ ।
12 And the cities of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem have gone, And they have cried to the gods, To whom they are making incense, And they give no deliverance at all to them, In the time of their distress.
यहूदाका सहरहरू र यरूशलेमका बासिन्दाहरू जानेछन्, र तिनीहरूले भेटी चढाएका देवताहरूलाई पुकार्नेछन्, तर तिनीहरूको विपत्तिको समयमा निश्चय पनि तिनीहरू ती देवताहरूद्वारा बचाइनेछैनन् ।
13 For the number of your cities have been your gods, O Judah, And [for] the number of the streets of Jerusalem You have placed altars to a shameful thing, Altars to make incense to Ba‘al.
किनकि तँ यहूदाले तेरा देवताहरूको सङ्ख्या वृद्धि गरेर तेरा सहरहरूको सङ्ख्या बराबर तुल्याएको छस् । तैंले यरूशलेममा त्यसका सडकहरूको सङ्ख्या जत्तिकै धेरै लज्जास्पद वेदीहरू, बाल देवताको निम्ति धुप बाल्ने वेदीहरू बनाएको छस् ।
14 And you, you do not pray for this people, Nor do you lift up cry and prayer for them, For I do not listen in the time of their calling to Me for their distress.
त्यसैले ए यर्मिया, तँ आफूले यी मानिसहरूको निम्ति प्रार्थना नचढा । तिनीहरूको पक्षमा तैंले विलाप वा बिन्ती गर्नहुँदैन । किनकि तिनीहरूले आफ्नो विपत्तिमा मलाई पुकारा गर्दा म तिनीहरूको पुकारा सुन्नेछैन्नँ ।
15 What has My beloved to do in My house, Her doing wickedness with many, And does the holy flesh pass over from you? When you do evil, then you exult.
मेरी प्रिय जससित धेरै दुष्ट मनसाय थिए, त्यो किन मेरो मन्दिरमा छे? तेरा बलिदानहरूको मासुले तँलाई मदत गर्न सक्दैन । तेरा दुष्ट कामहरूको कारणले तँ आनन्द मनाउँछस् ।
16 An olive, green, beautiful, of good fruit, Has YHWH called your name, At the noise of a great tumult He has kindled fire against it, And its thin branches have been broken.
विगतमा परमप्रभुले तँलाई झ्याम्म परेको जैतूनको रुख, रहरलाग्दो फल भएको सुन्दर रुख भन्नुभयो । तर उहाँले यसमा आगो सल्काउनुहुनेछ, जुन आँधीबेहरीको गर्जनजस्तो सुनिनेछ । यसका हाँगाहरू भँचिनेछन् ।
17 And YHWH of Hosts, who is planting you, Has spoken calamity concerning you, For the evil of the house of Israel, and of the house of Judah, That they have done to themselves, To provoke Me to anger, to make incense to Ba‘al.”
इस्राएलको घराना र यहूदाको घरानाले गरेका दुष्ट कामहरूको कारणले तिमीहरूलाई रोप्नुहुने सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूको विरुद्धमा विपत्तिको आदेश दिनुभएको छ— तिनीहरूले बाल देवतालाई भेटीहरू चढाएर मलाई रिस उठाएका छन् ।”
18 And, O YHWH, cause me to know, and I know, Then You have showed me their doings.
परमप्रभुले मलाई यी कुराहरू अवगत गराउनुभयो, त्यसैले म यी जान्दछु । हे परमप्रभु, तपाईंले नै मलाई तिनीहरूका कामहरू देखाउनुभयो ।
19 And I [am] as a trained lamb brought to slaughter, And I have not known That they have devised schemes against me: “We destroy the tree with its food, And cut him off from the land of the living, And his name is not remembered again.”
म त कसाइकहाँ लगिंदै गरेको अवोध थुमाजस्तै थिएँ । तिनीहरूले मेरो विरुद्धमा यस्तो योजना रचेका थिए भनी मलाई थाहा थिएन, “रुखलाई त्यसको फलसमेत नष्ट पारौं । फेरि त्यसको नाउँ नै नसम्झने गरी त्यसलाई जीवितहरूको देशबाट निष्काशित गरौं ।”
20 And O YHWH of Hosts, judging righteousness, Trying reins and heart, I see Your vengeance against them, For I have revealed my cause to You.
तापनि सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु धार्मिक न्यायाधीश हुनुहुन्छ जसले हृदय र मनको जाँच गर्नहुन्छ । तिनीहरूको विरुद्धमा तपाईंको बदलाको म साक्षी बन्नेछु किनकि मैले मेरो विषय तपाईंको सामु पेस गरेको छु ।
21 Therefore, thus said YHWH concerning the men of Anathoth, who are seeking your life, saying, “Do not prophesy in the Name of YHWH, and you do not die by our hands.”
त्यसकारण परमप्रभु तेरो प्राण लिन खोज्ने अनातोतका मानिसहरूको सम्बन्धमा यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, “तिनीहरू भन्छन्, 'तैंले परमप्रभुको नाउँमा अगमवाणी बोल्नुहँदैन, नत्रता तँ हाम्रा हातबाट मर्नेछस् ।'
22 Therefore, thus said YHWH of Hosts: “Behold, I am seeing after them, The chosen ones die by sword, Their sons and their daughters die by famine,
त्यसकारण सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, 'हेर, मैले तिनीहरूलाई दण्ड दिनै लागेको छु । तिनीहरूका हट्टाकट्टा युवाहरू तरवारले मारिनेछन् । तिनीहरूका छोराहरू र छोरीहरू अनिकालद्वारा मर्नेछन् ।
23 And they have no remnant, For I bring calamity to the men of Anathoth, The year of their inspection!”
तिनीहरूमध्ये कोही पनि छाडिनेछैन, किनकि म अनातोतका मानिसहरूको विरुद्धमा विपत्ति ल्याउँदैछु, जुन तिनीहरूको दण्डको वर्ष हुनेछ' ।”
