James 3
1 Do not let many be teachers, my brothers, having known that we will receive greater judgment,
O ry longo, ee te tsy maro ty ho mpañoke; fohiñe te ho lombolombo’e ty fizakañe antika.
2 for we all make many stumbles; if anyone does not stumble in word, this one [is] a perfect man, able to also bridle the whole body;
Songa mitsikapy ami’ty sata maro tika. Aa naho tsy fingane’ i saontsi’ey t’indaty le vañoñe indatiy mahafehe ty vata’e iaby.
3 behold, the bits we put into the mouths of the horses for their obeying us, and we direct their whole body;
Ie aomben-tika añ’oron-tsoavala ty laboridy hañoriha’e antika, le mahafeleke ty vata’e iaby.
4 behold, also the ships, being so great, and being driven by fierce winds, are directed by a very small rudder, wherever the impulse of the [one] steering wills,
Oniño ka o samboo. Ndra t’ie jabajaba naho aronjen-tio-bey, ro tehafem-panehake kede mb’amy ze satri’ i mpinday azey hombañe.
5 so also the tongue is a little member, and boasts greatly; behold, how much forest a little fire kindles!
Manao izay i famelekey, ie kedekedeke amo an-tsandriñeo, fe raha ra’elahy ty iroharohà’e. Haraharao ty habei’ ty ala viàñe’ ty pitsik’ afo.
6 And the tongue [is] a fire, the world of the unrighteousness, so the tongue is set in our members, which is spotting our whole body, and is setting on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna. (Geenna g1067)

7 For every nature, both of beasts and of birds, both of creeping things and things of the sea, is subdued, and has been subdued, by the human nature,
Hene mete folahe’ ondatio naho toe fa nifolahe’e ze karazam-biby naho voroñe naho mpilaly vaho o bibin-driakeo,
8 but no one of men is able to subdue the tongue—[it is] an unruly evil, full of deadly poison;
fe tsy lefe’ ondaty folaheñe i famelekey. Ie haratiañe mitsingoetse, lifo-boreke mahafate.
9 with it we bless the God and Father, and with it we curse the men made according to [the] likeness of God;
Ie ty andrengean-tika i Talè Raentikañey, ie ka ty añonjiran-tika t’indaty namboareñe hambam-bintañe aman’ Añahare.
10 out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing; it does not need, my brothers, these things to so happen;
Songa am-palie raike ty iakaran-tata naho fàtse. O ry longo, sondo’e t’ie anoeñe!
11 does the fountain out of the same opening pour forth the sweet and the bitter?
Ampikararahe’ ty loharano hirik’ am-bava raike hao ty mamy naho ty mafaitse?
12 Is a fig tree able, my brothers, to make olives? Or a vine figs? Neither is salty [water able] to have made sweet water.
O ry longo, mete mamoa takoko hao ty sakoañe? ndra sakoañe ty vahe? Toe tsy vokaren-drano masiake ty mamy.
13 Who [is] wise and intelligent among you? Let him show his works out of good behavior in meekness of wisdom,
He ama’ areo ao ty mahihitse naho mahilala? Ee te ho vente’e amy havañona’ey, t’ie mitoloñe an-katretran-troke mahihitse.
14 yet, if you have bitter zeal, and rivalry in your heart, do not glory, nor lie against the truth;
Fe naho añaja’o fikirañañe mafaitse aman-katea-teña ty an-tro’o ao, le ko mibohaboha handañira’o ty hatò.
15 this wisdom is not descending from above, but earthly, physical, demon-like,
Toe tsy hirik’ añ’abo i hihitse zay, f’ie an-tane, an-kasijin-tsandriñe naho itokoan-angatse.
16 for where zeal and rivalry [are], there is insurrection and every evil matter;
Aa naho eo ty fitsikirihañe naho fifandierañe, le eo ka ty fivalitaboahañe naho ze fonga atao sata raty.
17 but the wisdom from above, first, indeed, is pure, then peaceable, gentle, well-convinced, full of kindness and good fruits, uncontentious, and unhypocritical—
Hiringiri’e hey ty hihitse boak’ andindìñe ao, ie mifampilongo, lem-pò, mete mivohotse, lifo-tretrè naho voka-tsoa, tsy mitroetroe vaho po-famañahiañe.
18 and the fruit of righteousness in peace is sown to those making peace.
Tongisam-pampilongo am-panintsiñañe ty tabiry mamoa havantañañe.
