< James 2 >

1 My brothers, do not hold the faith of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ in favor by appearance,
Bhaakulupalila ajangunji, nkwaakulupalilanga Bhakulungwa bhetu a Yeshu Kilishitu, Bhakulungwa bha ukonjelo nnakolanje luagu ku bhandu.
2 for if there may come into your synagogue a man with gold ring, in radiant clothing, and there may also come in a poor man in vile clothing,
Monaga mundu ajinjilaga nnyumba ja kwaajujila a Nnungu, ali awete lupete lwa shaabhu na nngubho ya konja na kabhili ajinjilaga mundu nkulaga awete manyangui,
3 and you may look on him bearing the radiant clothing, and may say to him, “You—sit here well,” and may say to the poor man, “You—stand there,” or, “Sit here under my footstool,”
ibhaga mumposhelangaga ukoto awete ngubho ya konja nninkutinji, “Mmwe kuntame pa mmbone pano,” na nkulaga jula nikummalanjila, “Ugwe ukajime apala” eu, “Kuutame pai tome na makongono gangu,”
4 you did not judge fully in yourselves, and became ill-reasoning judges.
bhuli, lwenelo nngabha luagu, na kwa gwene utendego, ng'aniyo yenunji nngabha impelenje kutenda ukumu jangali ja mmbone?
5 Listen, my beloved brothers, did God not choose the poor of this world, rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom that He promised to those loving Him?
Bhaakulupalilanga ajangunji bhungumpinganga, mpilikananje! Bhuli, a Nnungu bhangaagulanga bhaalaga bha pa shilambolyo pano bhakolanje shipato shikulungwa nngulupai, na bhaposhelanje upalume gwa a Nnungu gubhaalajilenje bhakwaapinganga?
6 But you dishonored the poor one. Do the rich not oppress you and themselves draw you to judgment-seats?
Ikabheje mmanganyanji nnakwanyegayanga bhaalaga! Bhuli matajili bhakakummonelanga nikumpelekanga ku bhaukumula?
7 Do they not themselves speak evil of the good Name having been called on you?
Bhuli nngabha bhobho pebho bhakulitukananga lina lya mmbone lya a Yeshu Kilishitu limpegwilwenje?
8 If, indeed, you fulfill royal law, according to the Writing: “You will love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well;
Nkamulilangaga shalia ja upalume gwa a Nnungu malinga shijibhoneka Mmajandiko ga ukonjelo kuti, “Mumpinje ntami nnjenu malinga shinkwiipinga mmayene,” shintendanje ya mmbone.
9 but if you favor by appearance, you work sin, being convicted by the Law as transgressors;
Ikabheje ntendangaga luagu mmumanyanje kuti nnatendanga shambi, na shalia jinakunng'ukumulanga kuti nshilebhanga.
10 for whoever will keep the whole Law, but will stumble in one [point], he has become guilty of all;
Pabha mundu jojowe akamulila shalia yowe, alekaga jimo, bhai penepo alebhile kwa yowe.
11 for He who is saying, “You may not commit adultery,” also said, “You may not murder”; but if you will not commit adultery, but will commit murder, you have become a transgressor of law;
Pabha bhene bhalugwile kuti, “Nnalabhelabhe,” ni bhobho pebho bhalugwile kuti, “Nnabhulaje.” Kwa nneyo nkali nkalabhelabhe, ikabhe nshibhulaga, penepo nnebhile shalia.
12 thus, speak and so act as [one] about to be judged by a law of liberty,
Bhai, mmeleketanje na tenda malinga bhandu bhapinga ukumulwanga na shalia jikwaapanganga bhandu ungwana.
13 for the judgment without mercy [is] to him having not done mercy, and mercy exults over judgment.
Pabha ukumu ja a Nnungu jikakummonela shiya mundu jwangali shiya kuka mwine. Ikabheje shiya sha a Nnungu shinapunda ukumu.
14 What [is] the profit, my brothers, if anyone may speak of having faith, but he may not have works? Is that faith able to save him?
Bhaakulupalila ajangunji, ipwaa nndi mundu abheleketaga kuti akwete ngulupai, ikabheje gwangali kwaakunda a Nnungu? Bhuli jene ngulupaijo shijikombole kuntapula?
15 And if a brother or sister may be naked, and may be destitute of daily food,
Ibhaga nnongo nnjenu jwangali nngubho eu shalya,
16 and anyone of you may say to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed, and be filled,” but may not give to them the things necessary for the body, what [is] the profit?
shiipwae nndi mundu jwa munkumbi gwenunji annugulilaga kuti, “Jenda kwa ulele, ukajote moto na jukuta,” gwangali kumpa indu yatubhilwe, shiipwae nndi?
17 So also faith, if it may not have works, is dead by itself.
Nneyo peyo na ngulupai gwangali kwaakunda a Nnungu, jiwile.
18 But someone may say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith out of works.
Ikabheje mundu juna shaabhelekete, “Mmwe nkwete ngulupai na nne ngwete itendi!” Ayaga, nnanguye ngulupai yenu gwangali itendi, na nne shininnanguye ngulupai yangu kwa itendi.
19 You believe that God is one; you do well! The demons also believe—and shudder!
Mmwe nnikulupalila kuti a Nnungu ni bhamo, bhai ni sha mmbone! Ikabheje nkali mashetani galikulupalila na ungumila na jogopa.
20 And do you wish to know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?
Mmwe mmajinga, nnapinga nnangulwe kuti, ngulupai gwangali itendi jiwile?
21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous out of works, having brought up his son Isaac on the altar?
Bhuli, atati a Bhulaimu bhangashemwa bhakwete aki kwa shitendi shabho, pene pubhanshoshiye mwana gwabho Ishaka pa shitala pala?
22 Do you see that faith was working with his works, and faith was perfected out of the works?
Nnilola, kuti ngulupai jishinkutenda liengo pamo na shitendi shabho, na ngulupai jila gujitimilile kwa itendi ila.
23 And the Writing was fulfilled that is saying, “And Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness”; and, “Friend of God” he was called.
Kwa nneyo gugatimilile Majandiko ga kuti, “A Bhulaimu bhashinkwaakulupalila a Nnungu, na ngulupai yabho guyaatendile kukola aki, kwa nneyo gubhashemilwe ambwiga ajabho a Nnungu.”
24 You see, then, that man is considered righteous out of works, and not out of faith only;
Bhai nnilolanga kuti mundu anapegwa aki, kwa ligongo lya itendi yakwe na nngabha kwa ngulupaipe.
25 and in like manner also Rahab the prostitute—was she not considered righteous out of works, having received the messengers, and having sent [them] forth by another way?
Nneyo peyo puyaliji kwa a Laabhu lijajana bhala, bhuli bhangapegwa aki kwa shitendi shabho, pene pubhaaposhelenje bhaanushishiya nikwaatolosheyanga kwa mpanda guna?
26 For as the body apart from [the] spirit is dead, so also the faith apart from works is dead.
Kwa nneyo malinga shiilu gwangali mbumu shiwile, nneyo peyo na ngulupai gwangali itendi jiwile.
