Isaiah 1
1 The visions of Isaiah son of Amoz, that he has seen concerning Judah and Jerusalem, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
Esiawoe nye gbedeasi siwo Yesaya, Amoz ƒe vi, xɔ tso Yehowa gbɔ le ŋutega me, tso nu siwo ava dzɔ ɖe Yuda kple Yerusalem dzi la ŋuti. Exɔ gbedeasi siawo le Yuda fiawo, Uzia, Yotam, Ahaz kple Hezekia ŋɔli.
2 Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth, For YHWH has spoken: “I have nourished and brought up sons, And they transgressed against Me.
O! Dziƒo kple anyigba, miɖo to miase nya si gblɔm Yehowa le. Yehowa be: “Ɖevi siwo menyi hekplɔ wo kple beléle la dze aglã ɖe ŋunye.
3 An ox has known its owner, And a donkey the crib of its master, Israel has not known, My people have not understood.”
Nyitsu nyaa eƒe aƒetɔ, eye tedzi nyaa eƒe nuɖuƒe, ke Israel menyam o, eye nye amewo mese nye nyawo gɔme o.”
4 Oh, sinning nation, a people heavy [with] iniquity, A seed of evildoers, sons—corrupters! They have forsaken YHWH, They have despised the Holy One of Israel, They have gone away backward.
O! Dukɔ si wɔ nu vɔ̃, ame siwo dzi nu vɔ̃ do agba ɖo, nu vɔ̃ɖi wɔlawo ƒe dzidzimeviwo, vi siwo nye nu tovo wɔlawo, wogbe nu le Yehowa gbɔ, wodo ŋunyɔ Israel ƒe kɔkɔetɔ la, eye wotrɔ megbe dee.
5 Why are you struck anymore? You add apostasy! Every head has become diseased, and every heart [is] sick.
Nu ka ta miedi be woanɔ mia ƒoƒo dzi? Nu ka ta miegale aglãdzedze dzi? Miaƒe ta katã xɔ abi, eye miaƒe dzi katã hã xɔ abi.
6 From the sole of the foot—to the head, There is no soundness in it, Wound, and bruise, and fresh striking! They have not been closed nor bound, Nor have they softened with ointment.
Tso miaƒe afɔƒome va se ɖe miaƒe dzodome la, teƒe nyui aɖeke meli o, negbe abiwo, dodrowo, abi mumu siwo womeklɔ haɖe o alo ɖo amii loo alo bla o la koe li.
7 Your land [is] a desolation, your cities burned with fire, Your ground—strangers are consuming it before you, And a desolation as overthrown by strangers!
Miaƒe anyigba zu gbegbe, wotɔ dzo miaƒe duwo le miawo ŋutɔ ƒe ŋkume, du bubu me tɔwo va ha miaƒe agblemenukuwo, eye wogblẽ miaƒe anyigba abe ale si amedzrowo wɔna ene.
8 And the daughter of Zion has been left, As a shelter in a vineyard, As a lodge in a place of cucumbers—as a city besieged.
Zion nyɔnuvi tsi akogo abe agbadɔ si le waingble me ene, abe agblexɔe le dzamatregble me ene, eye abe du si ŋu futɔwo ɖe to ɖo ene.
9 Unless YHWH of Hosts had left a remnant to us, Shortly—we had been as Sodom, We had been like to Gomorrah!
Ɖe menye Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ ye kpɔtɔ ame ʋɛ aɖewo ɖi na mi o la, anye ne woatsrɔ̃ Yudatɔwo katã, abe ale si wotsrɔ̃ ame sia ame le Sodom kple Gomora ene.
10 Hear the word of YHWH, you rulers of Sodom, Give ear to the Law of our God, you people of Gomorrah,
Mise Yehowa ƒe nya, mi Sodom dziɖulawo, milé fɔ ɖe míaƒe Mawu la ƒe se la ŋu, mi Gomoratɔwo!
11 “Why the abundance of your sacrifices to Me?” says YHWH, “I have been satiated [with] burnt-offerings of rams, And fat of fatlings; And blood of bullocks, and lambs, And I have not desired male goats.
“Miaƒe vɔsa gbogboawo ɖe, nu ka wonye nam?” Yehowae gblɔe. “Miaƒe numevɔsa siwo miewɔna kple agbowo kple lã damiwo ƒe ami la, wu tsɔtsɔ nam. Nyitsuwo, alẽwo kple gbɔ̃wo ƒe ʋu medoa dzidzɔ nam o.
12 When you come to appear before Me, Who has required this of your hand, To trample My courts?
Ne miedo ɖe nye ŋkume la, ame kae bia esia tso mia si be, mianɔ afɔɖi ƒom nye xɔxɔnuwo?
13 Do not add to bring in a vain present, Incense—it [is] an abomination to Me, New moon, and Sabbath, calling of convocation! Do not render iniquity—and a restraint!
Midzudzɔ vɔsa gbɔlo siawo tsɔtsɔ vɛ! Miaƒe dzudzɔʋeʋĩwo dodo medoa dzidzɔ nam o. Nyemate ŋu atsɔ miaƒe takpekpe vɔ̃ɖi siwo nye dzinu yeyewo, Dzudzɔgbewo kple gbeƒãɖeɖe takpegbewo o.
14 My soul has hated your new moons and your set seasons, They have been on Me for a burden, I have been weary of bearing.
Melé fu miaƒe dzinu yeye ŋkekenyuiwo kple ŋkekenyui bubuawo. Wozu agba nam, eye nu ti kɔ nam le wo tsɔtsɔ me.
15 And in your spreading forth your hands, I hide My eyes from you, Also when you increase prayer, I do not hear, Your hands have been full of blood.
Ne miele gbe dom ɖa, keke miaƒe abɔwo me la, maɣla nye ŋkume ɖe mi, eye ne mieli kɔ gbedodoɖa gleglegle hã la, nyemaɖo to mi o, elabena miaƒe asiwo ƒo ʋu.
16 Wash yourselves, make yourselves pure, Turn aside the evil of your doings, from before My eyes, Cease to do evil, learn to do good.
“Mile tsi ne mia ŋuti nakɔ. Miɖe miaƒe nu vɔ̃ɖiwo ɖa le nye ŋkume! Midzudzɔ vɔ̃wɔwɔ,
17 Seek judgment, make the oppressed blessed, Judge the fatherless, strive [for] the widow.
ne miasrɔ̃ nyuiwɔwɔ! Midi nuteƒewɔwɔ, eye mide dzi ƒo na ame siwo wote ɖe anyi. Miʋli tsyɔ̃eviwo ta, eye miaxɔ nya ɖe ahosiwo nu.
18 Now come, and we settle this,” says YHWH, “If your sins are as scarlet, they will be white as snow, If they are red as crimson, they will be as wool!
“Miva, mina míade ŋugble ɖekae,” Yehowa gblɔe. “Togbɔ be miaƒe nu vɔ̃wo biã abe nyagãdzĩ ene hã la, woafu abe ɖetifu ene. Ne wobiã abe ʋu ene hã la, woafu abe alẽfu ɣi ene.
19 If you are willing, and have listened, The good of the land you consume,
Ne mielɔ̃, eye mieɖo to la, miaɖu anyigba la ƒe nu nyuitɔwo.
20 And if you refuse, and have rebelled, You are consumed [by] the sword,” For the mouth of YHWH has spoken.
Ke ne miesẽ to, dze aglã la, yi atsrɔ̃ mi.” Elabena Yehowa ƒe nue gblɔe.
21 How has a faithful city become a harlot? I have filled it [with] judgment, Righteousness lodges in it—now murderers.
Tsã la, wokpɔa nuteƒewɔwɔ kple dzɔdzɔenyenye le eme, ezu hlɔ̃dolawo ƒe du.
22 Your silver has become dross, Your drink defiled with water.
Tsã la, klosalo si le keklẽm la wònye, ke azɔ la, elé ɣebia eye wòzu abe wain nyuitɔ si wotɔ tsii ene.
23 Your princes [are] apostates, and companions of thieves, Everyone loving a bribe, and pursuing rewards, They do not judge the fatherless, And the plea of the widow does not come to them.
Wò dumegãwo zu aglãdzelawo kple fiafiwo xɔlɔ̃, wolɔ̃a zãnuxɔxɔ, eye wotia nunanawo yome. Womeʋlia tsyɔ̃eviwo ta o, eye ahosiwo ƒe nya medzɔna le woƒe ʋɔnu o.
24 Therefore—a declaration of the Lord—YHWH of Hosts, the Mighty One of Israel: “Oh, I relieve Myself from My adversaries, And avenge Myself against My enemies,
Eya ta ale Aƒetɔ, Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ, Israel ƒe Ŋusẽtɔ la gblɔe nye esi. “O! Makpɔ gbɔɖeme tso nye ketɔwo ƒe asi me, eye mabia hlɔ̃ nye futɔwo.
25 And I turn back My hand on you, And I refine your dross as purity, And I turn aside all your tin,
Matrɔ atsi tsitre ɖe mia ŋu, atsra mia me, eye maɖe nu kuklui siwo nye ɖiƒoƒo la ɖa le mia me.
26 And I give back your judges as at the first, And your counselors as in the beginning, After this you are called, A city of righteousness—a faithful city.”
Emegbe la, maɖo ʋɔnudrɔ̃lawo na mi abe tsã ene, eye mana aɖaŋudelawo mi abe ale si wònɔ le gɔmedzedzea me ene. Emegbe la, woayɔ mi be Dzɔdzɔenyenye kple Nuteƒewɔwɔ ƒe Du.”
27 Zion is redeemed in judgment, And her captivity in righteousness.
Woaɖe Zion kple afia nyui tsotso, eye woaɖe eƒe dzimetrɔlawo kple dzɔdzɔenyenye.
28 And the destruction of transgressors and sinners [is] together, And those forsaking YHWH are consumed.
Ke woagbã aglãdzelawo kple nu vɔ̃ wɔlawo siaa gudugudu, eye woatsrɔ̃ ame siwo gbe nu le Yehowa gbɔ.
29 For [men] are ashamed because of the oaks That you have desired, And you are confounded because of the gardens That you have chosen.
“Ŋu akpe mi le logoti siwo ŋu miekpɔa dzidzɔ le la ŋu; woade ŋukpe mo na mi le abɔ siwo mielɔ̃na la ta.
30 For you are as an oak whose leaf is fading, And as a garden that has no water.
Miazu abe logoti aɖe si ƒe aŋgbawo yrɔ kple abɔ si me tsi aɖeke mele o la ene.
31 And the strong has been for tow, And his work for a spark, And both of them have burned together, And there is none quenching!
Ame sesẽ la azu gbe ƒuƒu, eƒe dɔwɔwɔ azu dzoxi, wo ame eve la woabi, eye ame aɖeke mate ŋu atsii o.”
