< Isaiah 8 >
1 And YHWH says to me, “Take a great tablet to yourself, and write on it with an engraving tool of man, To hurry spoil, enjoy prey.”
Kinuna ni Yahweh kaniak, “Mangalaka iti dakkel a tapi ti bato ket isuratmo ditoy ti 'Maher Shalal Hash Baz.'
2 And I cause faithful witnesses to testify to me, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah son of Jeberechiah.
Mangayabakto kadagiti napudno a tattao a mangpaneknek kaniak, ni Urias a padi, ken ni Zacarias a putot ni Jeberekias.”
3 And I draw near to the prophetess, and she conceives, and bears a son; and YHWH says to me, “Call his name Maher-shalal-hash-baz,
Napanak iti ayan ti babai a profeta ket nagsikog isuna ken nagpasngay iti maysa a lalaki. Ket kinuna ni Yahweh kaniak, “Panaganam isuna ti 'Maher Shalal Hash Baz.'
4 for before the youth knows to cry, My father, and, My mother, one takes away the wealth of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria, before the king of Asshur.”
Gapu ta sakbay pay a makabalikas ti ubing iti 'Amak' wenno 'Inak,' dagiti amin a kinabaknang ti Damasco ken ti nasamsam iti Samaria ket ipanawto ti ari ti Asiria.”
5 And YHWH adds to speak to me again, saying,
Nagsao manen ni Yahweh kaniak,
6 “Because that this people has refused The waters of Shiloah that go softly, And is rejoicing with Rezin and the son of Remaliah,
“Gapu ta pinagkedkedan dagitoy a tattao dagiti nainnayad a danum ti Siloe, ken maragsakanda kenni Rezin ken iti lalaki a putot ni Remalias,
7 Therefore, behold, the Lord is bringing up on them, The waters of the river, the mighty and the great (The king of Asshur, and all his glory), And it has gone up over all its streams, And has gone on over all its banks.
ngarud, dandanin nga iyeg ti Apo kadakuada dagiti danum iti Karayan, naranggas ken adu, ti ari ti Asiria ken ti amin a dayagna. Umadalemto amin a pagayusanna ken lapunosenna dagiti teppangna,
8 And it has passed on into Judah, It has overflown and passed over, It comes to the neck, And the stretching out of its wings Has been the fullness of the breadth of your land, O Immanuel!
ket agayusto nga agturong iti Juda, manglayusto ken agayusto agingga a madanonna ti tengngedmo. Sakupento ti nakaukrad a payyakna ti entero a dagam, Immanuel.”
9 Be friends, O nations, and be broken, And give ear, all you far-off ones of earth, Gird yourselves, and be broken, Gird yourselves, and be broken.
Maburak-burakkayonto, dakayo a tattao. Dumngegkayo, dakayo amin nga adayo a pagillian: Agsaganakayo a makigubat ngem maburak-burakkayonto; agarmaskayo ngem maburak-burakkayonto.
10 Take counsel, and it is broken, Speak a word, and it does not stand, Because of Immanuel!”
Agpanggepkayo ngem saanto a maipatungpal daytoy; mangipaulogkayo iti bilin ngem saanto a maipatungpal, ta adda kadakami ti Dios.
11 For thus has YHWH spoken to me with strength of hand, and instructs me against walking in the way of this people, saying,
Nagsao kaniak ni Yahweh, ket kasla la iniggamannak ti napigsa nga imana, ken binallaagannak a saanak a magna iti wagas dagitoy a tattao.
12 “You do not say, A confederacy, To all to whom this people says, A confederacy, And its fear you do not fear, Nor declare fearful.
Saanmo nga ibaga a dakes a panggep dagiti aniaman nga ibagbaga dagitoy a tattao a dakes a panggep, saanmo a pagbutngan dagiti pagbutbutnganda, ket saanka nga agbutbuteng.
13 YHWH of Hosts—Him you sanctify, And He [is] your Fear, and He your Dread,
Ni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin, dayawem isuna a kas nasantoan, agbutengka kenkuana, isuna ti rumbeng a pagbutngam.
14 And He has been for a sanctuary, And for a stone of stumbling, and for a rock of falling, To the two houses of Israel, For a trap and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
Agbalinto isuna a santuario; ngem agbalinto isuna a bato a maitama kadakuada, ken dakkel a bato a pakaitibkolanda—kadagiti dua a balay ti Israel. Ken agbalinto isuna a silo ken palab-og kadagiti tattao ti Jerusalem.
15 And many among them have stumbled and fallen, And been broken, and snared, and captured.”
Adunto iti maitibkol iti daytoy ket matumbada, marumekrumekda, ken masiluandanto ket matiliwda.
16 Bind up the testimony, Seal the Law among My disciples.
Galutam ti pammaneknekko, selyoam ti kasuratan, ket itedmo kadagiti adalak.
17 And I have waited for YHWH, Who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob, And I have looked for Him.
Urayek ni Yahweh a nangilinged iti rupana manipud iti balay ni Jacob; urayek isuna.
18 Behold, I, and the children whom YHWH has given to me, [Are] for signs and for wonders in Israel, From YHWH of Hosts, who is dwelling in Mount Zion.
Kitaem, siak ken dagiti annak nga inted kaniak ni Yahweh ket maipaay a pagilasinan ken nakaskasdaaw iti Israel manipud kenni Yahweh a Mannakabalin-amin nga agnanaed iti Bantay Sion.
19 And when they say to you, “Seek to those having familiar spirits, And to wizards, who chatter and mutter,” Does a people not seek to its God? To the dead on behalf of the living?
Ibagadanto kadakayo, “Makiumankayo kadagiti makium-uman kadagiti espiritu ken salamangkero,” dagiti agar-arasaas ken agtaltalamitim. Ngem saan aya a rumbeng koma a makiuman dagiti tattao iti Diosda? Rumbeng kadi a makiumanda kadigiti natay nga agpaay kadagiti sibibiag?
20 To the Law and to the testimony! If not, let them say after this manner, “That there is no dawn to it.”
Isu a masapul nga ipangagyo ti linteg ken ti pammaneknek! No saanda nga ibaga dagitti kasta a banbanag, daytoy ket gapu ta awan iti lawag kadakuada.
21 And it has passed over into it, hardened and hungry, And it has come to pass, That it is hungry, and has been angry, And made light of its king, and of its God, And has looked upwards.
Lumasatdanto iti daga a napnoan iti riribuk ken panagbisin. Inton agbisinda, makaungetdanto ken ilunoddanto ti ari ken ti Diosda kabayatan iti panagtangadda.
22 And it looks attentively to the land, And behold, adversity and darkness! Dimness, distress, and thick darkness are driven away, But not the dimness for which she is in distress!
Kumitadanto iti daga ket makitada dagiti pannakariribuk, kinasipnget, ken ti saem ti pannakaidadanes. Maiturongdanto iti daga ti kinasipnget.
