Isaiah 60
1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, And the glory of YHWH has risen on you.
Fel, világosodjál meg, mert eljött a te világosságod és az Örökkévaló dicsősége feltündöklött fölötted.
2 For behold, the darkness covers the earth, And thick darkness the peoples, And YHWH rises on you, And His glory is seen on you.
Mert íme sötétség borítja a földet és sűrű köd a népeket, de te fölötted feltündöklött az Örökkévaló és dicsősége megláttatik fölötted.
3 And nations have come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.
És nemzetek járnak majd világosságodnál és királyok tündöklésed fényénél.
4 “Lift up your eyes around and see, All of them have been gathered, they have come to you, Your sons come from afar, And your daughters are supported on the side.
Emeld fel köröskörül szemeidet és lásd: mindannyian összegyűltek, hozzád jöttek; fiaid távolról jönnek és leányaid karon vitetnek.
5 Then you see, and have become bright, And your heart has been afraid and enlarged, For the multitude of the sea turn to you, The forces of nations come to you.
Azután látni fogod és földerülsz, remeg és tágul szíved, mert feléd fordíttatik a tenger gazdagsága, a nemzetek vagyona hozzád jön.
6 A multitude of camels covers you, Dromedaries of Midian and Ephah, All of them from Sheba come, They carry gold and frankincense, And they proclaim the praises of YHWH.
Tevék csapata borít el téged, Midján és Éfa tevecsikói, mindannyian Sábából jönnek, aranyat és tömjént visznek és az Örökkévaló dicséreteit adják hírül.
7 All the flock of Kedar are gathered to you, The rams of Nebaioth serve you, They ascend My altar for acceptance, And I beautify the house of My beauty.
Mind a Kédár juhai hozzád sereglenek össze, Nebájót kosai szolgálnak téged; feljutnak kedvességül oltáromra, és dicsőséges házamat megdicsőítem.
8 Who [are] these—they fly as a thick cloud, And as doves to their windows?
Kik ezek, kik mint a felhők repülnek és mint a galambok dúcaikhoz?
9 Surely islands wait for Me, And ships of Tarshish first, To bring your sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, To the Name of your God YHWH, And to the Holy One of Israel, Because He has beautified you.
Mert engem remélnek a szigetek és Tarsis hajói legelőbb, hogy a távolról elhozzák fiaidat, ezüstjük és aranyuk velük van, az Örökkévaló a te Istened nevének és Izrael szentjének, mert megdicsőített téged.
10 And sons of a stranger have built your walls, And their kings serve you, For in My wrath I have struck you, And in My good pleasure I have pitied you.
És fölépítik majd idegenek falaidat, és királyaik szolgálnak téged, mert haragomban vertelek, és kegyelmemben irgalmazok neked.
11 And your gates have continually opened, They are not shut by day and by night, To bring the force of nations to you, Even their kings are led.
És nyitva állnak kapuid mindig, nappal és éjjel nem záratnak be, hogy bevigyék hozzád a nemzetek vagyonát és vezetve az ő királyaikat.
12 For the nation and the kingdom that does not serve you perishes, Indeed, the nations are utterly desolated.
Mert az a nemzet és az a királyság, melyek nem szolgálnak téged, elvesznek, és a népek pusztulva pusztulnak el.
13 The glory of Lebanon comes to you, Fir, pine, and box together, To beautify the place of My sanctuary, And I make the place of My feet honorable.
A Libanon dísze hozzád jön, ciprus, jegenye és fenyő egyetemben, hogy megdicsőítsem szentélyem helyét, hogy lábaim helyét megdíszítsem.
14 And the sons of those afflicting you Have come to you, bowing down, And all despising you Have bowed themselves to the soles of your feet, And they have cried to you: The City of YHWH, Zion of the Holy One of Israel!
És mennek hozzád meggörnyedten sanyargatóid fiai, és leborulnak lábaid talpához mind a te káromlóid és így neveznek téged: Örökkévaló városa, Izrael szentjének Ciónja.
15 Instead of your being forsaken and hated, And none passing through, I have made you for a continuous excellence, A joy of generation and generation.
Ahelyett, hogy elhagyott és gyűlölt voltál és senki nem járt feléd, örök büszkeséggé teszlek, nemzedék meg nemzedék vígságává.
16 And you have sucked the milk of nations, Indeed, you suckle the breast of kings, And you have known that I, YHWH, Your Savior, and Your Redeemer, [Am] the Mighty One of Jacob.
Szopni fogod nemzetek tejét és királyok emlőjét fogod szopni; és megtudod, hogy én az Örökkévaló vagyok segítőd és megváltód, Jákob hatalmasa.
17 Instead of the bronze I bring in gold, And instead of the iron I bring in silver, And instead of the wood bronze, And instead of the stone iron, And I have made your inspection peace, And your exactors righteousness.
A réz helyett aranyat hozok, a vas helyett ezüstöt hozok, a fa helyett rezet és a kő helyett vasat; és hatóságoddá a békét teszem, felügyelőiddé az igazságot.
18 Violence is not heard in your land anymore, Spoiling and destruction in your borders, And you have called your walls Salvation, And your gates Praise.
Nem hallatik többé erőszak országodban, pusztulás és romlás határaidban, és nevezed a segítséget falaidnak és kapuidnak a dicsőséget!
19 The sun is no longer your light by day, And for brightness the moon does not give light to you, And YHWH has become to you A continuous light, and your God your beauty.
Nem lesz többé neked a nap világosságul nappal, és fényül a hold nem világít neked; hanem lesz neked az Örökkévaló örök világosságul és Istened dicsőségedül.
20 Your sun goes in no more, And your moon is not removed, For YHWH becomes a continuous light to you. And the days of your mourning have been completed.
Nem áldozik le többé napod és holdod nem tűnik le; mert az Örökkévaló lesz neked örök világosságul és betelnek gyászod napjai.
21 And all your people [are] righteous, They possess the earth for all time, A branch of My planting, A work of My hands, to be beautified.
Néped pedig – valamennyien igazak, örökre fogják bírni az országot, ültetvényeim csemetéje, kezeim műve a magam megdicsőítésére.
22 The little one becomes a chief, And the small one a mighty nation, I, YHWH, hurry it in its own time!”
A kicsiny ezerré lesz és a csekély hatalmas nemzetté; én az Örökkévaló a maga idejében megsiettetem.
