Isaiah 60
1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, And the glory of YHWH has risen on you.
Mache dich auf, werde Licht! Denn dein Licht kommt, und die Herrlichkeit des HERRN erglänzt über dir!
2 For behold, the darkness covers the earth, And thick darkness the peoples, And YHWH rises on you, And His glory is seen on you.
Denn siehe, Finsternis bedeckt das Erdreich und tiefes Dunkel die Völker; aber über dir geht auf der HERR, und seine Herrlichkeit erscheint über dir.
3 And nations have come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.
Und Nationen werden zu deinem Lichte wallen und Könige zu dem Glanz, der über dir erstrahlt.
4 “Lift up your eyes around and see, All of them have been gathered, they have come to you, Your sons come from afar, And your daughters are supported on the side.
Hebe deine Augen auf und siehe um dich: Diese alle kommen versammelt zu dir! Deine Söhne werden von ferne kommen und deine Töchter auf dem Arm herbeigetragen werden.
5 Then you see, and have become bright, And your heart has been afraid and enlarged, For the multitude of the sea turn to you, The forces of nations come to you.
Wenn du solches siehst, wirst du vor Freude strahlen, und dein Herz wird klopfen und weit werden; denn der Reichtum des Meeres wird dir zugewandt, die Güter der Heiden werden zu dir kommen.
6 A multitude of camels covers you, Dromedaries of Midian and Ephah, All of them from Sheba come, They carry gold and frankincense, And they proclaim the praises of YHWH.
Die Menge der Kamele wird dich bedecken, die Dromedare von Midian und Epha; sie alle werden von Saba kommen, Gold und Weihrauch bringen und mit Freuden das Lob des HERRN verkündigen.
7 All the flock of Kedar are gathered to you, The rams of Nebaioth serve you, They ascend My altar for acceptance, And I beautify the house of My beauty.
Alle Schafe von Kedar werden sich zu dir versammeln, die Widder Nebajots werden dir dienen; sie werden als angenehmes Opfer auf meinen Altar kommen; und ich will das Haus meiner Herrlichkeit noch herrlicher machen.
8 Who [are] these—they fly as a thick cloud, And as doves to their windows?
Wer sind die, welche gleich einer Wolke daherfliegen und wie Tauben zu ihren Schlägen?
9 Surely islands wait for Me, And ships of Tarshish first, To bring your sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, To the Name of your God YHWH, And to the Holy One of Israel, Because He has beautified you.
Ja, auf mich warten die Inseln und zuallererst die Tharsisschiffe, um deine Söhne von ferne herzubringen, samt ihrem Silber und Gold, um dem HERRN, deinem Gott, einen Namen zu machen, und dem Heiligen Israels, weil er dich herrlich gemacht hat.
10 And sons of a stranger have built your walls, And their kings serve you, For in My wrath I have struck you, And in My good pleasure I have pitied you.
Fremdlinge werden deine Mauern bauen und ihre Könige dich bedienen; denn in meinem Zorn habe ich dich geschlagen, und in meiner Gnade erbarme ich mich über dich.
11 And your gates have continually opened, They are not shut by day and by night, To bring the force of nations to you, Even their kings are led.
Deine Tore sollen stets offen stehen und Tag und Nacht nicht zugeschlossen werden, damit der Reichtum der Heiden herzugebracht und ihre Könige herbeigeführt werden können.
12 For the nation and the kingdom that does not serve you perishes, Indeed, the nations are utterly desolated.
Denn das Volk und das Königreich, welches dir nicht dienen will, wird umkommen, und die Heiden sollen gänzlich vertilgt werden.
13 The glory of Lebanon comes to you, Fir, pine, and box together, To beautify the place of My sanctuary, And I make the place of My feet honorable.
Die Herrlichkeit des Libanon wird zu dir kommen, Zypressen, Platanen und Buchsbäume zumal, um den Ort meines Heiligtums zu zieren; denn den Schemel meiner Füße will ich herrlich machen.
14 And the sons of those afflicting you Have come to you, bowing down, And all despising you Have bowed themselves to the soles of your feet, And they have cried to you: The City of YHWH, Zion of the Holy One of Israel!
Es werden auch tief gebückt die Söhne deiner Unterdrücker zu dir kommen, und alle, die dich geschmäht haben, werden sich zu deinen Fußsohlen niederwerfen und dich «Stadt des HERRN» nennen, «Zion des Heiligen Israels».
15 Instead of your being forsaken and hated, And none passing through, I have made you for a continuous excellence, A joy of generation and generation.
Statt daß du verlassen und verhaßt gewesen bist, also daß niemand dich besuchte, will ich dich zum ewigen Ruhm machen, daß man sich deiner für und für freuen soll.
16 And you have sucked the milk of nations, Indeed, you suckle the breast of kings, And you have known that I, YHWH, Your Savior, and Your Redeemer, [Am] the Mighty One of Jacob.
Du wirst die Milch der Heiden saugen und dich an königlichen Brüsten nähren; also wirst du erfahren, daß ich, der HERR, dein Erretter bin und dein Erlöser, der Mächtige Jakobs.
17 Instead of the bronze I bring in gold, And instead of the iron I bring in silver, And instead of the wood bronze, And instead of the stone iron, And I have made your inspection peace, And your exactors righteousness.
Anstatt des Erzes will ich Gold herbeibringen, und anstatt des Eisens Silber; statt des Holzes aber Erz, und statt der Steine Eisen. Ich will den Frieden zu deiner Obrigkeit machen und die Gerechtigkeit zu deinen Vögten.
18 Violence is not heard in your land anymore, Spoiling and destruction in your borders, And you have called your walls Salvation, And your gates Praise.
Man wird in deinem Lande von keiner Gewalttat mehr hören, noch von Schaden und Verwüstung innerhalb deiner Grenzen, sondern deine Mauern sollen «Heil» und deine Tore «Lob» genannt werden.
19 The sun is no longer your light by day, And for brightness the moon does not give light to you, And YHWH has become to you A continuous light, and your God your beauty.
Nicht mehr die Sonne wird dir am Tage zum Lichte dienen, noch bei Nacht der Glanz des Mondes zur Leuchte, sondern der HERR wird dir zum ewigen Lichte werden, und deines Gottes wirst du dich rühmen.
20 Your sun goes in no more, And your moon is not removed, For YHWH becomes a continuous light to you. And the days of your mourning have been completed.
Deine Sonne wird nicht mehr untergehen und dein Mond nicht mehr verschwinden; denn der HERR wird dir zum ewigen Lichte werden, und die Tage deiner Trauer sollen ein Ende haben.
21 And all your people [are] righteous, They possess the earth for all time, A branch of My planting, A work of My hands, to be beautified.
Und dein Volk wird aus lauter Gerechten bestehen und das Land ewig besitzen, als eine von mir angelegte Pflanzung, ein Werk meiner Hände, mir zum Ruhm.
22 The little one becomes a chief, And the small one a mighty nation, I, YHWH, hurry it in its own time!”
Der Kleinste wird zu Tausend werden, der Geringste zu einem starken Volk; ich, der HERR, werde das zu seiner Zeit eilends ausrichten.
