Isaiah 59
1 Behold, the hand of YHWH Has not been shortened from saving, Nor His ear heavy from hearing.
हेर, परमप्रभुको हात यति छोटो छैन कि त्यसले बचाउन सक्दैन । न त उहाँको कान यति मन्द नै छ कि त्यसले सुन्न सक्दैन ।
2 But your iniquities have been separating Between you and your God, And your sins have hidden The Presence from you—from hearing.
तापनि तिमीहरूका पापपुर्ण कामहरूले तिमीहरूलाई परमेश्वरबाट अलग गरेको छ, र तिमीहरूका पापहरूले तिमीहरूबाट र तिमीहरूका कुरा सुन्नबाट उहाँलाई आफ्नो मुख लुकाउने बनाएको छ ।
3 For your hands have been defiled with blood, And your fingers with iniquity, Your lips have spoken falsehood, Your tongue mutters perverseness.
किनकि तिमीहरूका हातहरूमा रगतका र तिमीहरूको औंलाहरूमा पापका दाग छन् । तिमीहरूका ओठहरूले झुट बोल्छन् र तिमीहरूका जिब्राले छलपुर्वक बोल्छन् ।
4 There is none calling in righteousness, And there is none pleading in faithfulness, Trusting on emptiness, and speaking falsehood, Conceiving perverseness, and bearing iniquity.
कसैले पनि धार्मिकतामा पुकारा गर्दैन र कसैले पनि आफ्नो मुद्दाको निम्ति सत्यतामा बिन्ति गर्दैन । तिनीहरू रित्ता शब्दहरूमा भर पर्छन् र झुट बोल्छन् । तिनीहरूले कष्ट गर्भधारण गर्छन् र पाप जन्माउँछन् ।
5 They have hatched eggs of a viper, And weave webs of a spider, Whoever is eating their eggs dies, and the crushed hatches a viper.
तिनीहरूले विषालु सर्पको अण्डा ओथर्छन् र माकुराको जालो बुन्छन् । तिनीहरूका अण्डा जसले खान्छ त्यो मर्छ र एउटा अण्डा फुटाइयो भने, त्यसबाट विषलु सर्प निस्कन्छ ।
6 Their webs do not become a garment, Nor do they cover themselves with their works, Their works [are] works of iniquity, And a deed of violence [is] in their hands.
तिनीहरूका जालोहरू लुगाको निम्ति प्रयोग गर्न सकिंदैन, न त तिनीहरूले आफ्ना कामहरूले आफूलाई ढाक्न सक्छन् । तिनीहरूका कामहरू पापका कामहरू हुन् र तिनीहरूका हातहरूमा हिंसाका कामहरू छन् ।
7 Their feet run to evil, And they hurry to shed innocent blood, Their thoughts [are] thoughts of iniquity, Spoiling and destruction [are] in their highways.
तिनीहरूका पाउहरू दुष्टतातिर हतारिन्छ र तिनीहरू नोर्दोष रगत बगाउन दौडिन्छन् । तिनीहरूका विचारहरू पापका विचारहरू हुन् । हिंसा र विनाश तिनीहरूका बाटोहरू हुन् ।
8 They have not known a way of peace, And there is no judgment in their paths, They have made their paths perverse for themselves, None treading in it has known peace.
शान्तिको बाटो तिनीहरूले जान्दैनन् र तिनीहरूका बाटोहरूमा न्याय हुँदैन । तिनीहरूले बाङ्गा बाटोहरू बनाएका छन् । यी बाटोहरूमा यात्रा गर्नेहरूले शान्ति जान्दैनन् ।
9 Therefore judgment has been far from us, And righteousness does not reach us, We wait for light, and behold, darkness, For brightness—in thick darkness we go,
यसकारण न्याय हामीबाट टाढा छ, न त धार्मिकता हामीकहाँ आइपुग्छ । हामी ज्योतिको आशा गर्छौं, तर अन्धकार देख्छौं । हामी उज्यालोको प्रतिक्षा गर्छौं, तर हामी अन्धकारमा हिंड्छौं ।
10 We feel [for] the wall like the blind, Indeed, we feel as without eyes, We have stumbled at noon as at twilight, In desolate places as the dead.
अन्धाले झैं र देख्न नसक्नेहरूले झैं हामी भित्ता छाम्छौं । हामी मध्यदिनमा नै साँझमा झैं ठेस खान्छौं । बलियोहरूका माझमा हामी मरेका मानिसझैं छौं।
11 We make a noise as bears—all of us, And we coo severely as doves; We wait for judgment, and there is none, For salvation—it has been far from us.
हामी भालुझैं कराउँछौं र ढुकुरझैं विलाप गर्छौं । हामी न्यायको आशा गर्छौं, तर त्यहाँ छैन । छुटकाराको खोज्छौं, तर त्यो हामीबाट टाढा छ ।
12 For our transgressions have been multiplied before You, And our sins have testified against us, For our transgressions [are] with us, And our iniquities—we have known them.
किनकि हाम्रा धेरै अपराधहरू तपाईंका सामु छन् र हाम्रा पापहरूले हाम्रा विरुद्धमा गवाही दिन्छन् । किनकि हाम्रा अपराधहरू हामीसँग छन् र हामी आफ्ना पापहरू जान्दछौं।
13 Transgressing, and lying against YHWH, And removing from after our God, Speaking oppression and apostasy, Conceiving and uttering from the heart Words of falsehood.
परमप्रभुलाई इन्कार गरेर र हाम्रा परमेश्वरको अनुसरण गर्न छाडेर हामीले विद्रोह गरेका छौं । हामीले झुट बोलेका छौं, अनि तर्किएर हृदय र झुटका शब्दहरूबाट गनगन गरेका छौं ।
14 And judgment is removed backward, And righteousness stands far off, For truth has been feeble in the street, And straightforwardness is not able to enter,
न्याय हटाइएको छ र धार्मिका टाढै खडा हुन्छ । किनकि सत्यता खुल्ला ठाउँ ठेस खान्छ र ठिक कुरा आउन सक्दैन ।
15 And the truth is lacking, And whoever is turning aside from evil, Is making himself a spoil. And YHWH sees, and it is evil in His eyes, That there is no judgment.
भरोसा हराएको छ, र जो दुष्टताबाट फर्किन्छ उसले आफूलाई शिकार बनाउँछ । परमप्रभुले यो देख्नुभयो र त्यहाँ न्याय नदेखेर अप्रशन्न हुनुभयो ।
16 And He sees that there is no man, And is astonished that there is no intercessor, And His own arm gives salvation to Him, And His righteousness—it sustained Him.
त्यहाँ उहाँले कुनै मानिसलाई देख्नुभएन र मध्यस्थ गर्ने कोही नभएकोमा उहाँ छक्क पर्नुभयो । यसकारण उहाँको आफ्नै बहुलीले उसको उद्धार गर्यो र उहाँको धार्मिकताले उसलाई सम्भाल्यो ।
17 And He puts on righteousness as a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head, And He puts on garments of vengeance [for] clothing, And is covered, as [with] an upper-robe, [with] zeal.
उहाँले धार्मिकतालाई छातीपाताको रूपमा र आफ्नो शिरमा मुक्तिको टोप लगाउनुभयो । उहाँले आफूलाई बदलाको पोशाल पहिरनुभयो र जोशलाई आवरणको रूपमा लगाउनुभयो ।
18 According to deeds—so He repays. Fury to His adversaries, [their] deed to His enemies, To the islands He repays [their] deed.
आफ्ना विरोधीहरूलाई क्रोधको इन्साफले, आफ्ना शत्रुहरूलाई बदलाले, टापुहरूलाई तिनीहरूका इनामको रूपमा दण्डले, तिनीहरूले जे गरेका थिए, त्यसको प्रतिफल उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई दिनुभयो ।
19 And from the west they fear the Name of YHWH, And from the rising of the sun—His glory, When an adversary comes in as a flood, The Spirit of YHWH has raised an ensign against him.
त्यसैले तिनीहरूले पश्चिमदेखि परमप्रभुको नाउँको भय मान्नेछन् र सूर्योदयदेखि उहाँको महिमा देख्नेछन् । किनकि परमप्रभुको सासले डोर्याएर उहाँ उर्लंदो नदीझैं आउनुहुनेछ ।
20 “And the Redeemer has come to Zion, Even to captives of transgression in Jacob,” A declaration of YHWH.
“सियोनमा र याकूबका विद्रोही कामहरूबाट फर्कनेहरूकहाँ— एक जना उद्धारक आउनुहुने छ— यो परमप्रभुको घोषणा हो ।
21 “And I—this [is] My covenant with them,” said YHWH, “My Spirit that [is] on you, And My words that I have put in your mouth, Do not depart from your mouth, And from the mouth of your seed, And from the mouth of your seed’s seed,” said YHWH, “From now on, even for all time!”
परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ— मेरो निम्ति, तिनीहरूसँग यो मेरो करार हो । मेरो आत्मा तँमाथि छ, र मेरो वचन मैले तेरो मुखमा राखेको छु, त्यो तेरो मुखबाट जानेछैन वा तेरा छोराछोरीका मुखबाट जानेछैन, अहिलेदेखि सदासर्वदासम्मै—परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ ।
