< Isaiah 58 >

1 “Call with the throat, do not restrain, lift up your voice as a horn, And declare to My people their transgression, And to the house of Jacob their sins;
Tha hoi hang ah, na lok to paquem hmah; mongkah tuen baktiah hang ah; kai ih kaminawk khaeah sakpazaehaih to thui paeh loe, Jakob imthung takoh khaeah zaehaihnawk to amtuengsak ah.
2 They seek Me day by day, And they desire the knowledge of My ways, As a nation that has done righteousness, And has not forsaken the judgment of its God, They ask of Me judgments of righteousness, They desire the drawing near of God:
Nihcae loe toenghaih sah kami, angmacae Sithaw mah thuih ih lok pahnawt ai kami ah oh o baktih toengah, ni thokkruek kai ang pakrong o; kai ih loklam katoeng to panoek han koeh o; toenghaih loklamnawk to ang dueng o moe, Sithaw khaeah anghnaihaih to a koeh o.
3 Why have we fasted, and You have not seen? We have afflicted our soul, and You do not know. Behold, you find pleasure in the day of your fast, And exact all your laborers.
4 Behold, you fast for strife and debate, And to strike with the fist of wickedness, You do not fast as [this] day, To sound your voice in the high place.
Khenah, nangcae loe lok angaekhaih, ban pathluem moe, maeto hoi maeto angbohhaih hoiah buhzahhaih to na sak o; nangcae ih lok to hmuensang hoiah thaih hanah, vaihni ah na sak o ih buhzahhaih baktiah buh na zaa o han om ai.
5 Is this like the fast that I choose? The day of a man’s afflicting his soul? To bow his head as a reed, And spread out sackcloth and ashes? Do you call this a fast, And a desirable day—to YHWH?
Kami maeto loe buhzah moe, poek patanghaih hoiah oh, anih loe phroh kazai baktiah zai sut moe, kazii to angzaeng hoi maiphu nuiah angsong sut, to tiah ohhaih ani to maw ka koeh ih buhzahhaih ah oh? To tiah sakhaih loe Angraeng mah tapom koi buhzahhaih ah oh, tiah thui thai tih maw?
6 Is this not the fast that I chose—To loose the bands of wickedness, To shake off the burdens of the yoke, And to send out the oppressed free, And draw off every yoke?
Ka qoih ih buhzahhaih loe, Sethaih qui hoiah kangzaeng kaminawk to khramh pae moe, hmuenzit amtiksak meo, pacaekthlaek ih kaminawk to loisak pacoengah, tahnong ih quinawk khram paehaih to na ai maw?
7 Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry, And bring home the wandering poor, That you see the naked and cover him, And do not hide yourself from your own flesh?
Zok amthlam kaminawk to buh pacah moe, ohhaih ahmuen tawn ai amtang kaminawk hanah ohhaih ahmuen paek pacoengah, khukbuen tawn ai kaminawk hanah khukbuen paek moe, aimah ih acaengnawk angqoi taak ving ai ah khosakhaih hae na ai maw?
8 Then your light breaks forth as the dawn, And your health springs up in haste, Your righteousness has gone before you, The glory of YHWH gathers you.
To tiah ni na aanghaih loe akhawnbang ih ni aengh baktiah tacawt ueloe, karangah ngan na tui tih; na toenghaih to na hmaa ah caeh ueloe, Angraeng lensawkhaih mah hnukbang hoiah na pakaa tih.
9 Then you call, and YHWH answers, You cry, and He says, Behold Me. If you turn aside the yoke from your midst, The sending forth of the finger, And the speaking of vanity,
To tiah na sak nahaeloe na kawkhaih lok to Angraeng mah pathim tih; na hangh naah, haeah Ka oh, tiah na naa tih. Minawk pacaekthlaekhaih tongh kaminawk ih hmuenzit to na khring pae, ban pazung hoi takhih moe, kasae thuihaihnawk to nang hmatsak,
10 And bring out your soul to the hungry, And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light has risen in the darkness, And your thick darkness [is] as noon.
zok amthlam kaminawk hoi pakhra patangkhang kaminawk ih angaihaihnawk to paek pacoengah, tahmenhaih palung na tawnh nahaeloe, vinghaih thungah na aanghaih to tacawt ueloe, na vinghaih loe athun ih ni aengh baktiah om tih boeh.
11 And YHWH continually leads you, And has satisfied your soul in drought, And He arms your bones, And you have been as a watered garden, And as an outlet of waters, whose waters do not lie.
Nang loe Angraeng mah na caeh haih poe tih, zok amthlam naah zok amhahsak ueloe, na huhongnawk to thacaksak tih; nang loe tui paek ih dum baktiah om ueloe, tui kang vai ai tuipuek baktiah na om tih.
12 And they have built the ancient ruins from you, You raise up the foundations of many generations, And one calls you, Repairer of the breach, Restorer of paths to rest in.
Na caengnawk mah canghnii hoiah kapong sut ahmuen amaenawk to pakhraih o let ueloe, canghnii hoi kaom im sakhaih ahmuennawk to raemh o let tih; to naah nang loe kamro tapangnawk pakraih kami, kami ohhaih loklamnawk sah let kami, tiah kawk o tih.
13 If you turn your foot from the Sabbath, [From] doing your own pleasure on My holy day, And have cried to the Sabbath, A delight, To the holy of YHWH, Honored, And have honored it, without doing your own ways, Without finding your own pleasure, And speaking a word.
Ciimcai kai ih ani ah, na koehhaih bangah na caeh ai, Sabbath ni to kahoih ah na zah, Sabbath ni loe koeh koi kaom ciimcai Angraeng ih niah oh pongah, pakoeh han oh, tiah na thuih; na koehhaih loklam ah na caeh ai, na koeh to na pakrong ai, na koeh ih lok doeh apae ai ah na oh moe, to ni to khingzahaih na paek nahaeloe,
14 Then you delight yourself on YHWH, And I have caused you to ride on high places of earth, And have caused you to eat the inheritance of your father Jacob, For the mouth of YHWH has spoken!”
Angraeng ah anghoehaih na tawn tih; long nui ih hmuensang koekah kang ohsak moe, nam pa Jakob ih qawk hoiah kang com han, tiah Angraeng ih pakha mah thuih.
